Guitar Center PALMDALE - We had promised our granddaughter a guitar right before Covid hit. We were shocked that there was no place available for her to try a guitar and pick the best one. She is 15 years old, short, and left-handed. We wanted to make sure that she had, the one most suited for her. We were very excited today to go into the Guitar Center and finally pick her guitar. We were greeted at the front desk and ushered into a room at 4:05 PM where we were told there would be somebody to help us. A young man came to help and at 4:15 PM he told us that he was supposed to be off the clock, and someone else would be in to help us. We waited around for another 10 minutes and no one came in. Standing around the registers were seven other employees, easily talking amongst themselves and nobody was available to help. We left and I will not return. If I have to drive 300 miles to find somebody that is willing to take our money and provide a service I will do so, but I will not be back to this business again!

Can't find the usual products in store anymore. Seems like everything I need must be ordered. Pro Audio selection is getting smaller and smaller every year.

Horrible, slow, and rude service. Waited for over 40 minutes for someone to help us buy a demo item they had on clearance sale. Then when we took the item up front, they tried to give us the same item "new in box" and charge us a higher price, then he said he would match the clearance price, but except it wasn't the same item, but an older model. When we pointed this out and asked for the model they had on the floor, then they said they couldn't sell it to us because it was the demo... Even though the sign specifically said it was the demo item that was on sale... And all the while the employee was rude several times... Never again.

This review is in regards to their store manager Alex. He is nice and polite while everything is fine the min he makes a mistake he is rude and hangs up on you. We purchased 4 lessons for my son and from the start wr gad problems. We would show up and he was not on the schedule and Alex is the one making the schedule mind you3 out of his for lessons were a mess. How difficult is it to schedule a class? Mind you we had email confirmation and he still refused to help us. For a store Manager he does a terrible job

Not my best experience. I bought a guitar amplifier that comes 2 year warranty, but the "smart" manager forced me to buy a two-year warranty, which was already covered by the manufacturer. This is called take advantage of the clients.

I came in to look at loop station pedals and figured I'd learn about them real quick and bring one home.I asked Lauren at the counter if I could try one of them out. She said she would need to hold my driver's license in order for me to try it out. No problem, I handed it to her. She plugged it in for me, but she knew nothing about what a looper pedal is or does. I was fine with that, too, it would just take me longer to learn how to use it. So, I downloaded the manual for the Boss RC 500. Another person walked up he was very friendly and saw me trying to figure it out. He attempted to show me, but it he also couldn't figure out some basic functions such as how to set the timing. Since we couldn't use the loop pedal on the floor, it wasn't possible to figure out accurate timing without using my feet. So, I had to read the manual further to make sure this was something I or someone in my family could realistically use. After reading and testing the product for 30 mins, I had set the guitar down next to me to give the manual better read. I downloaded a video to watch a tutorial on YouTube. A random person quickly came up to me and said hey are you done with that guitar? I said I'm not buying the guitar but it's a nice guitar you can try it. She took it away and quickly took away the loop station too. Then I asked her if she was an employee, she said yes. I told her well I wasn't done using the pedal, I thought you wanted to try the guitar. She didn't think to give back the pedal or anything. Then I had to tell her you can't just take that pedal away from me when you are holding my driver's license. She sarcasticly said well I guess I'll have to figure out which one looks like you and get it for you. She did not give me an option to learn about the product anymore, and they certainly were not capable of explaining anything about how it works.I asked my son if he was interested in trying it so he could make the final decision. Even though I felt like they thought we were potential thieves but I also wanted to buy a microphone for it. I asked Lauren about the microphone selection and she pretended to not hear me. I asked again and she said sorry that's all we got. She didn't even take me to the mics or recommend one. I just wanted a generic all-purpose mic and was interested in the used one. So once again I had to use my phone to review the products. There was a mic stand box that was ripped open on a shelf and I was curious if the desk mount boom stand was compatible with the used mic they had. So I lifted the lid of the ripped box and Lauren told me not to do that. Don't ever open any boxs. It looked like it was meant to be opened because how ripped up it was. I certainly didnt open a new box that hasnt been opened a hundred times. She did not ask me if I had any questions about it. But I think by this point, we both knew that she wouldn't have any product knowledge anyway. So I decided they are not getting my money. However, my son was intrigued by the product and said he thinks he will like it if it's on the floor if he can get a feel for using it.I figured the only way to test this out without being treated like a thief is to buy it and take it home. If I don't like it, I can return it.As I went to the register, Lauren was busy. I told the available sales person that I'll buy the rc500. Then Lauren told him it's on her name. So he refused to ring up the sale until she was ready. I told him there is no need to wait for her. She didn't even do anything or know anything about the product. She didn't sell it to me. He said sorry you have to wait for her those are the rules.Looking back i feel disrespected after buying this product from Lauren at Guitar Center palmdale. I haven't felt these bad vibes in a very long time. I'll be back to return it based on principle. It's amazing to see sales people that know nothing about their products be so hungry a sale. If I ever come back I will have to work with
