I’ve been extremely pleased with my experience with Tapa Jaguar and especially with Keith. Could not be happier with my experience. (Please read as this is an honest detailed review of my experience)
Before finding them, I had a streak of bad luck with my Land Rover. My Discovery 5 had coolant pipe failure. Long story short I was in need of an engine replacement. We love our Discovery very much and just didn’t have the heart to part ways with it just yet. After research I found Tapa Jaguar on the web. I feel blessed that I did.
After many conversations with Keith and careful consideration we decided to have Tapa Jaguar bring our vehicle back to life.
Keith was patient, honest, forth coming and answered all the questions I had and did not hold anything back.
After shipping the Discovery down to Southern California Keith had her running in no time. This was very exciting and a long time coming for us.
During the engine replacement he did an extensive inspection on my vehicle. During the time before I brought my car to Tapa, I had brought my vehicle to Land River Livermore to see if they could fix my car after it seized. (Was unaware of the car hydro locking). They quoted me 2k for a new starter because they said we burned it out trying to start the motor so many times after it seized in order to perform compression check. I declined thank goodness because I had communicated to keith about putting a new starter in. He said he would check it himself before we proceeded to purchase one. After careful inspection the starter was good after all. He saved me from an expensive fix that would have been a total waste of money. Also he let me know that my battery wasn’t holding a charge and troubleshot the problem to a mega fuse. (Probably caused by Land Rover dealer). Drove a few hours to find a part and replaced it for free. What a guy!
Also had a piece missing from my fan shroud that the dealer left out. He replaced that for me as well.
One thing I was adamant about was upgrading the coolant system to aluminum. No problem here, that is a standard at Tapa.
After receiving the vehicle back it drives smooth and feels as it did when it was brand new.
I feel good moving forward with this car because I know Keith has open line of communication and I know he will continue to support me with any comments , questions, or concerns I may have moving forward.
I can’t recommend Keith and Tapa Jaguar enough. If you want honest work, expert knowledge, and great customer service, this is the place to go. I could not recommend them more. Deal in confidence!

Replaced my engine and fixed a suspension issue I was having. They worked tirelessly and helped in so many other ways regarding my LR4. I highly recommend you use them for your Land Rover needs. The engine has more power and run great.

Keith from Tapa is a pleasure to work with. His knowledge of Land Rover engines are exceptional. I purchased a Land Rover LR4 engine from him, from the initial phone call to Tapa Engines, ordering and delivery was super easy. I highly recommend Keith / Tapa Motors for their quality engines.

I had the sad misfortune of having an engine failure on my 2016 Supercharged LWB Range Rover and took my car to the local LandRover dealer in Mission Viejo. The insurance company sent them a remanufactured engine. My vehicle sat at their shop for almost 8 weeks until they told me that the engine was bad and they were going to need another engine after they milked my insurance company for over 12K doing the install. Needless to say my insurance company stepped in and sent my vehicle with the so-called broken engine to Keith at TAPA. When the vehicle arrived at Keith’s Shop he took a ton of photos and showed me the horrible job that the Range Rover dealer did with my vehicle and it’s sloppy install. Not only was there a piece of wood that they left under my hood but they also shipped the car with missing parts. The supercharger was bad and so were the fuel injectors which they had no clue about. Keith told me not to worry and that he would get everything working on my car by the end of the week. Obviously I thought he was joking based on my Land Rover experience. Keith was absolutely amazing. He kept me apprised of everything that was going on with my vehicle and fixed everything for me within three days and the car is now running better than when I purchased it brand new. I can’t say enough great things about Keith and TAPA! In the words of the immortal Tina Turner, they’re simply the best! Thank you so much, Keith!!!

I recently got my Jaguar F- Type R back from the shop, and I can’t say enough good things about Keith. From start to finish, his professionalism and knowledge about Jaguars were truly outstanding. He always answered my calls with patience and took the time to explain everything in detail.
Keith replaced the motor quickly and thoroughly checked everything on the car. He kept me updated every step of the way, sending pictures and videos of the testing process. He even pointed out parts that needed replacement and offered to install them for free—without charging me for labor. On top of that, he guided me on how to keep the engine in top condition, what to avoid, and even directed me to where I could get another part at a better price, saving me from overpriced dealership parts.
He went above and beyond, even giving me a message to show the dealership so they wouldn’t accidentally mess up any system updates. His honesty, transparency, and genuine care for both the car and the customer are rare to find.
I transported my car from Texas to California for his service, and while it cost more, it was worth every penny. You truly get what you pay for. If you want someone who knows Jaguars inside and out and will treat your car like his own, Keith is the one to trust.

Wow! Where do I begin? Keith and his team are just impressive! A prior review dubbed Keith a class-act, and I’m not sure there is a better word for this guy. Keith is a knowledgeable professional, that truly cares about people and prides himself in service excellence. From the first conversation I knew I had found the right person for my vehicle. My LandRover Discovery HSE had been worked on by a mechanic that had no idea how to repair a coolant leak, although, he insisted the exact opposite was true. The initial repairs were replacement of the coolant outlet pipes…he overheated the engine and ruined everything. Months, Weeks and Thousands of dollars later my vehicle was in need of an engine replacement. The dealership quote was insulting, and other specialty shops just did not have the expertise, tools or confidence to execute a job this complex. I called a few other shops before I stumbled across the TAPA website. By the time I spoke to Keith, I was unloading about my experiences and calls before him. I was just tired to talking to people without a clear solution… most lacked basic communication skills or spoke in a disrespectful tone, one seemed to scold me for the condition my vehicle was in, some were rude, dismissive, or short…the “straw” was the one that tried to sell me another vehicle suggesting we use my vehicle as a trade for something “better” (completely assuming this is my only vehicle or that I was in the market to purchase) Many auto-repair professionals are men and In speaking to a woman often come off superior and or condescending. Needless to say, after weeks of searching for someone who could speak intelligently about the work they do, or even stand behind their workmanship for the length of a conversation, my search was over. I really wanted to be sure that any further investment in this vehicle made sense. I thought it distinct that TAPA had a website that clearly explained who they are and what they do. How many repair shops have a website? The few I stumbled across had images that made the establishment appear more like a junkyard. Not TAPA, the website was nice, well developed and easy to navigate. Once I spoke to Keith, I was impressed by his phone presence, and candor. He is smart, warm and personable, easy to understand, and very charismatic. Unlike the others Keith took the time to answer my questions, as we spoke I could further see that TAPA was just different. Keith encouraged me to do some research, provided examples, photos and videos of cases like mine, and explained why the TAPA method works, has worked and continues to be the answer for many owners. I took a few days to make a decision and in that time Keith followed up to keep the line of communication open, answering question but did not try to pursued me in any way. Once I decided to hire TAPA, Keith explained the diagnostic and repair process step by step, aided in the vehicle transport and delivery logistics. Keith kept me updated as they worked on the vehicle, made suggestions, prepared me for what to expect once the vehicle was running again. Keith and his team made good on all that was promised and more! In all the years of owning, repairing, and servicing luxury vehicles I have never had a more positive experience. My vehicle was repaired efficiently, and is running like never before.. Keith followed up days after the work was completed to ensure my satisfaction and to review the post repair instructions, warranty, and to answer any other questions that I had. I am beyond impressed, the level of customer service I experienced is rare. Keith, and The team at TAPA are unique, and I am Thankful to have found them. Highly, highly, highly recommended!

Keith is a genuine person that cares about his clients and provides only the best engines and customer service. I purchased a 5.0l Range Rover engine. It arrived next day! Was amazing having my rover back so quickly. I look forward to enjoying my truck for many years to come.

I don’t even know how I’m saying this because honestly, I’ve spent so much money needlessly on this car on a second engine (purchased originally from the criminal Ash at The Rover Spot), but if there is a blessing in this. It’s that as a result of the catastrophic failure on an engine that should not have had a catastrophic failure.
I ended up meeting Keith with Tapa. he is probably the most knowledgeable person I have ever spoken to on the planet relative to Land Rover. I knew the President of Land Rover North America back in the early 90s and this guy knows everything there is to know about these cars he is…The definition of somebody who will go above and beyond for you. Because of his passion relative to these vehicles, he worked WITH my installation people, before during and after the installation to troubleshoot problems that arose.
His team inspected the engine that I bought from the criminals at Rover Spot and was able to tell me:
The exact reason that I needed a second engine. In addition, he would let me just call him and vent about having to spend 30 to 40,000 more dollars because Every single part failed the second time because of the wrong engine being installed. I would not have made it through this process a second time if it was not for Keith and TAPA.
if if any of you get in a situation ever at any point where you have to replace the engine in your Land Rover this man understands every nuance and every complexity with these engines. And mine is one of the more complex as a supercharged 5 L V8 engine and he knew everything about it. If there was a problem he knew how to fix it. If there was a situation, he knew how to explain it perfectly. If there was a symptom he could tell me three possible causes. I cannot say enough positive things about Tapa and Keith and his team. they are rockstars and a godsend to me personally. If at any point, any of you needs a reference, he has my permission to give out my phone number and if anyone has any questions about his integrity or professionalism or anything, call me and I will happily tell them what an amazing quality focused company and team they are, with skills and knowledge I’ve never seen in this industry. thank you Keith for your professionalism and your friendship.
I would most likely have driven this thing off a cliff if it wasn’t for you. Probably with me in it.

I sent my 2016 LR4 to these guys, and they had a new motor dropped in it within a week’s time. Insane turnaround time and they were very responsive via text throughout the whole process. Highly recommend Tapa to anyone who needs a big job done on their Land Rover.

I wondered if it was worth the money to replace my Land Rover engine. I took the chance and couldn't be more satisfied. We had a few hiccups with spark plugs. Keith supported every move both technically and financially. The car runs better than when it was new.

In this day rarely does a man’s character supersede his performance. More and more as time goes on it seems businesses are lacking both. Ken with Tapa is a man of impeccable character who does what he says he is going to do. He went above and beyond to make a situation right, and we got it done between he and I with what was the equivalent of a handshake over the phone. I had my RR sport shipped to his shop from New Mexico where it received a quality of work matched only by the owner’s character. When it was time to fly into CA to get my vehicle, Ken went so far as to drive it the hour and a half to the airport for me and leave it at the parking lot so all I had to do was land, hop in my truck and head home. I’m greatly appreciative of all that was done and will always recommend this company to the Landrover community.
