The Sunday California Avenue Farmers' Market is definitely one of my favorite markets in the area. There are tons of organic veggies, fruits and nuts. There are delicious bakery stands like Craftsman & Wolves and The Midwife and the Baker. This Sunday, I stopped at the FlipFresh spice stand. Chad is the owner and he was super knowledgeable and friendly. I got some ground sumac and I was blown away with how fresh it was. I sprinkled it on my quick lunch of hard boiled eggs, avocado, mushrooms, and radishes. The sumac added a bright, citrusy flavor to everything. I can’t wait to buy more spices next week.

We have gone every week, rain or shine, since we moved to CA. You simply cannot understate the quality of the produce. Once you taste the difference, you come back for the fresh veggies, fruit, and mushroom...We also get our cider, pastry, fresh bread, dried fruit and nuts, and flowers for our balcony here, you can find many other things.Sure, some of the dairy and meat is expensive and maybe not for every week, but good to have around!

I don't remember farmers' markets back when I was growing up socal in the 70's and 80's. Was it just the place? Or the time? I take it for granted that there are so many good farmers markets around now, but I really do love them. This one is good, and has gotten better over the years. I love that some of the big name bakeries like Midwife & The Baker and Craftsman & Wolves set up shop here, as well as great farm fresh fruits and veggies. My latest go to is the immense apple selection from Prevedelli farms, and the Japanese veggie stand in the bank parking lot. And I love that there's now a mini golf course at the end of Cal Ave! Pro tip: park on the far side of the Caltrain tracks, at the park. and enjoy the amble through the "underwater" mural tunnel, past the new hardware store and the game shop, you can't go wrong.

If you sell things by weight and then round them to multiple of 5$, it's just a joke.

Amazing variety of awesome fruits, veggies, meats, honey and bees wax products, cheeses, tons of unique foods. Loved it! My only qualm was the attitude of several of the attendees. Aggression and lack of social awareness in many of the older people made it a bit weird. One guy even flipped me off because I was “in his way” at the open market.

Huge assortment of vendors. Great place to get lots of organic veg's and fruits. Go get some apples and pears and other stuff from Prevedelli! Fifth Crow Farm has incredible produce. Mostly great vendors here. Many take electronic payments since the pandemic. It gets crowded, so plan accordingly. Lots of fun to walk around and see what's new and in season.

I’ve visited the Mountain View Farmer’s market and the Sunnyvale Farmer’s market. Hands down, the Palo Alto Farmer’s market is by far the best (second best is Mountain View’s farmer’s market if you’re wondering). What I like about the Palo Alto one is the enormous variety of vendors; a mix of food vendors, produce vendors, and merchandise vendors. Definitely coming back again next Sunday! Also, it’s right in front of our favorite Indian restaurant, Zareen’s!

The California Avenue Farmer's Market, open on Sundays from 9AM to 1PM in the heart of Palo Alto, is a must-visit place!!! I cannot begin to describe the possibilities for things to see, buy, eat, do, hear, go, and more, at this Market. Each booth has something special to offer. The seasonal fruits and vegetables at the Farmer's Market are exceptionally fresh and organic - I've gotten persimmons, carrots, figs, tomatoes, all sorts of leafy greens - you name it, they have it! There's a stand that specializes in just mushrooms - the variety is insane. In addition to produce, the farmer's market is also full of food booths - from crepes to kombucha to pastries to honey to street food! Plant booths sell a myriad of different types of flowers, fruit trees, succulents - all sorts of plants. The booth that sells succulents is one of my favorites - the selection of types there is fantastic. Interspersed among these food booths are booths that sell unique and quirky items like cute stickers and pins, kitchen towels, dog treats, and more! Last but not least, in the middle of market, you can enjoy live music at one of the intersections where the road is beautifully painted with a blue and green pattern with a stream/leaf/tree theme. Overall, I would definitely recommend spending quality time at the California Avenue Farmer's Market - it is an extraordinary place!!!
