Rooms: Comfortable, clean, and well maintained. The ones facing the koi pond are delightful.Food & drinks: The on site poolside restaurant has outstanding food. The ribs are fall off the bone delicious. The fries are super tasty. The mushroom ravioli is perfect. They also still have a Trader Vic’s mai tai.Noteworthy details: Absolutely gorgeous koi pond.

Stayed twice at this peaceful hotel twice. The rooms are spacious, the ambience beautiful and the staff very prompt and polite. I have been for an office off-site visit, and the hotel is conveniently located close to Menlo Park.

Last minute decision to stop here on a road trip because it's dog hospitable. Never expected it to be as dog welcoming as it was with the dog park and its eclectic design. Love the owner's collection from their travels, the pond with its adorable ducks, and the friendliness of staff. Hope I'll have a reason to stop by again, or maybe I will have to invent one.

Fantastic, classic, pride of ownership hotel with active involvement of original ownership…One of my favorite hotels of any class, anywhere and I’ve stayed here dozens of times. If Four Seasons was at the same price I’d still stay here for its location, charm, gardens, and service. Restaurant is top of the line and it’s fun to see all the artwork from owners family and Palo Alto history.Rooms and pool area are absolutely spotless and they do a good job of keeping prices reasonable during off peak which I very much appreciate as I am budget mindful. Great well managed and reliable hotel!!

Rooms are a bit outdated but very clean and spacious. The heated floors and sauna (in some rooms) are welcome touches.

Lovely boutique hotel with a Bohemian vibe. Friendly staff, fast check-in process, spacious rooms, and decent minibars. The decor is a bit outdated but the rooms and common areas are super clean. Also offers room service, has a large heated outdoor pool, and poolside restaurant with a bar.

Loved the room space and the beautiful pond and garden. Very comfortable, has a older Hawaii vibe to it.. Nice electric fireplace gave our room a wonderful glow and when you look out your window there's a pond with duck. At night the lights around the grounds gives a romantic vibe.. The shower was really small, there was an old smell in the room and they neeed to modernize the room more. Otherwise it was great.

Mostly makes sense to stay here if you have business nearby. I will say you might want to consider using another nearby hotel though. My experience when I was called by the hotel about an item I left was pretty poor: cutoff by the manager in the middle of speaking by just giving the phone to someone else, who I then mentioned to that there is probably a better way to do the phone handoff which prompted them to hang up on me. Given the tone of that experience, I wouldn't take my business stays there again, let alone spend personal money there.

Love staying here! It's an old school, resort style motel, that is well kept and managed. Beautiful gardens with water and ducks through the center areas. There's a linear dog park that is beautifully landscaped. It's a high end motel that serves both the recreational and business travelers. The rooms are beautiful and clean. Our room had nice amenities including a sofa, refrigerator, electronic fireplace with heat, and a large desk with a flat bed image scanner on a separate stand to one side. They were updating the rooms in Building 600 at the back of the property, when we were there. You can see the owners are very committed to keeping the property well maintained and up-to-date to keep it attractive for travelers. The employees are all very friendly and focused on customer service.

Very beautiful hotel and gardens. It is a 3 star hotel but it’s underrated. I don’t feel be welcomed though. The staffs need better training for sure.
