Their main elevator has been out for a long time now and don't seem to bother fixing it. The only way up to 2nd and 3rd floor is thru their employees elevator which is sooo embarrassing being that Macy's has the funds to install a new elevator. They never have anyone at the men's shoe department, very understaffed

This is a shout-out for Janice who works in the Women's clothing department on the second floor. What an asset to Macy's! Not only was she helpful and customer service driven when it comes to apparel, but she also unhesitatingly assisted me in finding the right exit down the escalator (there are many exits in this big store). Thank you so much, Janice, for making my Macy's experience exceptional.

It must have something to do with the fact that it is right next to Neiman Marcus ... this Macy's has a nicer selection, is better organized, and has better service than any other Macy's that I have been to in the recent past. Keep replicating this and Macy's will thrive based on the number of customers I saw today.

I generally get reasonable service at the Stanford Macy's, particularly by the nice older gentleman (forgot his name) in the Men's suit department. But today, I had a very bad experience. The sales woman, Mei, in the men's Ralph Lauren desk was extremely rude. I haven't been treated in such a condescending way in a long time. Instead of giving her any chance of a commission, I left.

Bad. Just bad. Waited for help at the Men's shoes for 30 minutes no one around so I gave up. Gave up on the shoes and looked at clothes, I wanted to know the price for a shirt and found a women working at jewelry. I asked her for the price and she told me to go back to the clothing area and find and employee there to check the price. I was very annoyed at that point. I gave up on the shirt because of course no one is working at mens so I went to the cosmetics department and it was very hard to find staffing there to. I actually did pick out some clothes and went to cosmetics department to see if I can ring up but they also told me to go back to the clothing area to get ringed up. I remembered not long ago there used to be a lot of really good people that worked at the store. People who cares and did good customer service. The store kinda reminds me of a Ross store now and probably I would rather shop at Ross than Macys Stanford now. Sorry Macys Stanford but I had to many bad experiences now and I will now shop at Nordstrom Stanford. At least they care about customers and we can ring up anywhere in the store and is much more easier to get help there.

I was in Macy's sunglasses department today in Palo Alto, Stanford shopping mall. Reyna helped me out. She was so helpful and had so much patience! I would recommend anyone to go to Macy's sunglass section at Stanford Mall!

I rarely give bad reviews but my goodness this place is depressing. First impression when going inside and glancing around is that they need to innovate pronto. The displays look sad, the products look outdated, there are always a ton of things on sale but in a confusing way and it overall looks disorganized and messy. I'm sure staff is trying their hardest, but besides the cosmetics and perfume area, there just doesn't seem to be a lot of staff around. Nobody is ever there to help out. My main grievance though is that this store makes me feel like an abnormally sized woman. They never seem to have my size. Doesn't matter whether it's a bra, a shirt or a shoe. When you do find something to try on, the hunt for a fitting room that's actually open can take forever. Last time I was there, I got so annoyed I put the stuff it took me 45 minutes to assemble back on the racks, walked out and took my business elsewhere.

Decided on a whim to check out the home section at this Macy's location. I ended up finding a GREAT deal on a Queen's bed sheet set from the Hotel Collection. Set includes fitted sheet, flat sheet, and 2 standard pillow cases. Although I wanted pure white, the only color option available was ivory. Home section was organized and staff was helpful and available to answer questions.

Horrible experience with the Women's Fragrance Department. I was standing looking at perfumes and not one person came up to me a lady with short hair was rude when I asked for help. All they do is stand in the counters and talk with each other. Don't dare ask for assistance or they will give you bad customer service. Only time they will talk nice to you is if you open a Macy's card. Horrible

AFRICAN/AFRICAN AMERICAN PEOPLE, DON'T SHOP AT THIS STORE!I've been treated poorly at this particular Macy's, one too many times now. This seems to only magically happen to me when:1. I'm wearing my natural hair texture 2. Earrings that are indicative of my cultural background/beliefsAlso, MY ADDITIONAL EXPERIENCES include:3. Being followed around the store4. Being ignored (when I need help) especially in bedding and shoes.5. Being told they need to see my I.D., asking for my birthdate, and other items (even when returning an item to the card I purchased with)5b. I happen to know they can see the purchase from my card 6. Also I've obliged them in this behavior before (just to try and make things easier)7. Only to be met with more RACISM... I was then asked if my address is real "does this really exist?" 8. One girl actually looked it up on her phone (She had green hair, tattoos and piercings all over her body)....And she now knows what my house looks like, and how to get there... WOW!! YIKES!! SCARY!!!)I'VE ALSO HEARD FROM OTHER AFRICAN-AMERICANS, THAT THEY TOO, HAVE ENCOUNTERED THIS SAME TREATMENT, AT THIS MACY'S(some are doctors/professors/staff at Stanford Hospital/University) I think some DIVESTING needs to happen here,As I'm not sure a letter would do much.

I bought a jacket 10 days before thanksgiving and return it not sure it's the right one! I paid full price for it and I am a gold member so I used the $10 reward. I was also able to charge with other credit card hoping I will get some points from the credit card company! After few days I decided to return it but lost the $10 reward with no issue. Weird think is I receive e-mail of the reward but it does not show up I. My reward account anymore???2 days before the thanksgiving, I looked around online and decide it's the one I really wanted so I went back to the store the get it but the 2nd floor clerk at the cashier charge it to my Macy card even after I told her want to charge to my other credit card. She also told me I can not and the $10 reward is not showing up when I use my Macy reward. I show her the email and she just said too bad it's gone???! I told her I can always charge to other credit card but she said you can charge by debit card which does not make any sense to me. I walked away from it with my receipt and went downstairs to the customer service. Explain my situation to the agent , Paulina, and she is able to fix everything for me. I like to write this up because this clerk on the 2 nd floor is lack of knowledge of how macys works and she needs training and also improve her customer service skills. I do not believe she and Palina get pay any different t but the knowledge and service are day and night differences. I don't remember the bad agents name but my receipt had this 11358383 0048 number, she does not deserve any star. Palina, 11219246 0062, gets 5 stars! If any one from Macy is reading my review, please look into the 2 nd floor clerk and try to do something of your clerk who does not have the knowledge and insist she is an expert is not acceptable! I hope Macy will have better service! I have been shopping at this store since 1980s so I hope macys will keep up the tradition and provide excellent service !!!!
