This spot is worth the trip. Great service, great atmosphere and the pizza crust is a piece of art. Perfectly soft with some crunch, great flavor, but the real differentiator is the lightness. The lightness means it was cooked absolutely perfectly, tasted like pizza from Florence!

The service and location were excellent. However, the pizza was way over-priced, maybe NOT in California Standard ?

We used to love this place, but I was pretty shocked this time that the prices have gone way up, like $31 for an ok, but not amazing pizza is crazy. I mean, this place used to be an easy quick meal that was reliable. But now its pricing has it up against some proper Italian pizza places that are much better. To top it off, our recent visit included the wrapping still being on slices of prosciutto on the pizza… I mean for $31 it should be better QC than that!

Howie’s is my first choice for artisanal pizza! Pizzas and salads are all excellent and service is superb. Location is great and their outside dining is perfect. Love Howie’s! Wish they would expand back to Redwood City.

Mike catered my 30-person work event wonderfully. Food arrived exactly at the requested time and *everyone* raved about the pizza and sides.Howie's can cater events in the hundreds of people so I was definitely in good hands. Will definitely be a return client....and individual customer!

Even though this place is across the bay for us, it is always something to look forward to. Perfect place to sit outside and enjoy the amazing California weather. The locations allows for some shopping opportunity in unique mom and pop shops in the area.Went for Margherita pizza with hot baked potatoes and wings. Great tasting food and the beer and drinks selection is good as well.Do not skip them if you are in the area.

Overall ❤️❤️ I am coming back again.Food had the right flavors. My favorite was arancini. We also had the Greek salad and half-and-half pizza - Veggie and pesto pie. My favorite was pesto pie ❤️?Ambience and service was great. The place showed care. They had a huge party outside when we last went. Inside seats were available. The staff was very nice and polite. Do visit if you are looking for a good artisan style pizza place with vegetarian options.Vegetarian options: Veggie pizza

The pizzas are not particularly interesting both in ingredients and preparation with the chicken rosata as an exception. The crust is thin and cracker like, no chew to it. The arugula was just a pile of arugula on top of a cooked pizza with prosciutto on top of that. The whole thing comes apart when trying to serve. The worst though was the potato brava. That thing left second-degree burns in my mouth. The aioli masks just how hot it is. Once you get into it, it will blister down several layers of skin. Tip to the kitchen: don't rush. Let those things rest for 5-7 minutes before serving. They would have been good had I not had a damaged mouth for a week. But besides the whole burn issue, the pizza just wasn't good. Too much grease on the meat. Bad crust. Poorly designed. I'll find elsewhere in the future.

This place is great but they don't have ANY instructions on how to cook the frozen meals anywhere eon the website. And they don't tell you at the place when you order. If it wasn't for that this place would be perfect. Now I'm stuck trying to figure out how to make my frozen lasagna. Awesome. 25 bucks without instructions ?

Having just moved from NY it feels a bit obscene to pay $30 for an itty bitty pie on this level. The pizzas not bad per se, but it's really not very good either. Reminds me of Sbarro or Papa John's or something.

I would def skip the pizza here even though it's called Howie's pizza. I got a slice of the cheese but wasn't good. But the pastas? Oh em gee Let me tell you. Some of the most flavorful and extremely fresh pasta I have had in the Bay Area. Shoutout to our server Phil who was an absolute sweetheart. He went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of. He recommended the pastas and they sure were a hit. The mushroom pasta was to die for. I love love love this place. Food and service were both 10/10 for me.

Went here with a group for the first time. Service was outstanding! Pizza was really good, Cesar salad was great and the garlic bread was delicious! Next time would like to try just a pepperoni pizza instead of the fancier toppings we chose. But will definitely be back. Great pizza!
