The location is the old Godiva store. Service was terrible. Probably too many holiday shoppers there today. I didn't like the chocolate as much as other stores. And I didn't appreciate the fact that soooo much of their boxes contain chocolates with alcohol.

My toddler grandson ran in here and immediately grabbed a huge cookie, a $42 cookie, which was way too much cookie for a 19 month old! The staff was amused and so kind. I bought a sampler bag of brittle, which was delicious!

Love love love! Their chocolate here are amazing! First off coming in I was greeted by the wonderful staff who one helped me with my selections. I forgot her name but I like how she told me about their history and gave me pieces to try. I ended up getting the hazelnut, rocher, cranberry, and the one with coconut. All were very tasty and I love how decadent it was. It's a great place to go for dessert, a small bite, or a gift!

Rich slabs of Swiss chocolate that are worthy every dollar. The staff are so welcoming and happy to give phenomenal recommendations within the large selection. One of the amazing staffers recommend the caramel milk-dark chocolate and the coconut milk, and I would highly recommend you taste them too! Just one sample will hook you!

Came across Laderach by accident when looking for a gift for a family member. It is now the exclusive chocolate shop for every special event - Birthdays, Anniversaries, Celebrations etc.The varieties are expansive, the texture is rich, and while it is expensive - it is a must try experience.

Excellent service and some of my favorite chocolates. We stopped in for a selection of hazelnut and macadamia pralines and slabs. There's a variety of sizes and fruit and nut forward flavors. A couple of the flavors online were not in store. Spent about $15 on a few pralines and a couple chunks of chocolate. A personalized praline or truffle box makes a great gift!

This chocolate is not good. Chocolate itself is not good and the ones with nuts like cashewnuts or pistachios were worse. Please don't be deceived by the Swiss brand. I have never tasted this cheap in Swiss.

Decent place for chocolate. They have a variety of options and overall it's pretty good. The prices are a little high but it's Swiss chocolate they are known to be one of the best. I would go here when in the shopping center.

I came to this place because one of my friends were raving about this chocolatier so I had to try it. My conclusion is try other chocolate places in Palo Alto. They have several better places than this one. There is one in Town and Country and a couple downtown. If you care about the details, please read on...I posted my receipt so you know what we have tried. The chocolates are good. Taste like normal European chocolates to be honest. But the European chocolates you can normally buy at their grocery stores. I think at this price point I was looking for a lot more. Quality of chocolates is not up to par with higher end chocolate places nearby. It might appeal to people used to American chocolates. But if we are talking about Swiss Chocolates, I suggest you try Sweet55 at Town and Country. Sweetness - It is relatively less sweet than the Belgian boxes of chocolates you can get from Costco. Their milk chocolate is too milky for me. I would prefer getting Milka Bar from Trader Joe's. Nuts and chocolates - speaking of European chocolate bars, the only thing that is better would be the sweetness level. But chocolate flavor Ritter Sport bars from Germany is pretty good too. Packaging - One of the reasons I would normally go to a high end chocolate places is to get a box of chocolate as a gift. While they have lots of prepackaged chocolates, they are no better than See's Candy for me. Which, I would prefer to go to See's Candy store because it's an American tradition. Timothy Adams chocolate downtown Palo Alto havé more exquisite boxes of chocolates than Läderach. When you go to Timothy Adams, make sure you try their hot chocolate. It's divine! Now what am I going to do with all these chocolates? I will bring them to the office to share. I can't consume everything given the quality. I kept 2 stars because they give you FREE chocolates when you walk in and their workers are super nice, genuinely helpful and are ready to answer all of your questions. The store ambiance is clean and joyful. Makes you feel like a kid at a candy store. Or chocolate store in this case. Worth a try especially for the free chocolates. But try little at a time to see what works for you.

Chocolate is delicious. I’ve had the pralines and truffles, each is a unique piece to savor. I think it’s so expensive since it’s all imported from Switzerland. I love the bark options.I just wish they had online or over the phone ordering. Being all the way in Santa Cruz, it’s not always easy to get there in time. It’d be nice to know I can get what I want without having to rush over first thing in the morning. It’s 2023 so they should add that feature.
