This is the small, cute Loccitane in Stanford Shopping Mall. I never know how to pronounce this name! :) But, the shea creams hand lotions are nice for the dry winters here in California and don’t feel so greasy. They also have this machines for these refillable containers for shampoo and body wash. Very forward thinking. I believe they have more stringent rules in Europe so the products are more pure. I hope the rules in France apply for the same products here? Or do Parisians actually know about this product??

Such a great place to shop! The products are excellent and Akie is just wonderful: Very knowledgable, communicative, helpful, warm and welcoming. This place may not be huge in size, but they have a wide selection of items so you can find what you want/need, and discover new things as well. They do in-store facials so you can try their products, and they also give out product samples so you can try new things that way, too, if you'd like. Treat yourself and go to this place!

The store's staff lacks the level of politeness I've experienced elsewhere. Even when I came to pick up my order, I encountered an unexpected scenario. I'd prefer to shop at a different store to avoid similar experiences.

You always feel you are bothering them. The service doesn t feel genuine and you feel like you are annoying them. They keep peppering you with questions, which i am sure if from their sales training, but with either no interest in really helping or some look of disapproval if you say you are just browsing.

Howdy, coming from Texas to visit California. Gabriel took care of me. This young man did a fantastic job taking care of all of my needs and questions. He is a great salesperson. Anytime I come back to visit the beautiful state of California I will be back here.

We were profiled by Ashely and her “manager”My husband purchased bath soap and oil a few days earlier and we came to exchange it for different bath soap due to the first one containing chemicals I am avoiding.we told the “manager” what’s our plan is and she was hostile and accused me of watering it down though it was not opened. She was rude and said” I’m not returning this for you” even though I told her I want to exchange it. She proceeded to tell me the chemicals is only harmful if it’s ingested. They were helping other clients and they were chitchatting for along regardless of me standing. They assured them they can exchange or return even if the item was used and if they are not happy. The only difference between me and that client was I was not there preferre” skin color type” and they treated me like a common thief. They didn’t even try to deny it the sales person Ashley was the worst one she was gaslighting and mocking us and tried to get us angry.“The manager” hid in the back and they refused to give out their information or their manager’s information. Ashley claimed she doesn’t even know who she worked for and it’s just a store. She keeps on repeating her self in a rude way still treating me as a thief. It was disgusting to be treated this way after I spent good money and I only wanted to exchange. I even show her how it’s exactly the same by pulling out one of their bath soap from the shelf. She didn’t give me the respect even to finish my sentence. They are racist people both of them. People who are minorities please be careful going to this exact store. I have been to many other stores and never seen this trash behavior. Shame on L’occitane for allowing this to happen in their store.

Unprofessional team. Ashley and manager was extremely rude and treated their clients badly. They are discriminating because of the race of people and assume they are at the store to steal. Unsafe place to minorities and people of color you will be treated as thief even though you spent hundreds of dollars. When I tried to discuss my concerns with the manager she ran away to have a lunch break, hiding behind the associates. Very disappointed to see this behavior from the employees of the L’occitane brand.

I love the brand but the service was annoying. Stopped in to get some shower oil and three different employees came up to me one after the other pressuring me to buy more. They kept saying “it’s on sale stock up now, buy a couple more!” After the third employee did this I was getting extremely frustrated. I’m just going to be shopping online from now on.One of the sales people, Ashley, was particularly abrasive and pressured me more than the others. She didn’t listen to anything I said and was incredibly rude. Just kept insisting I get more.Never going back ??

Salesy. Ethically questionable. Skin lesion inducing. Choose your products carefully. Visit 1: Goal was to purchase the one product I typically use. Sales person urged me to buy the super large size so that it could be used on other parts of the body, which after I thought about it struck me as something that would probably cause negative effects. Visit 2: Goal was to return the unopened larger product. LIterally pushed aside as sales tried to sell a day ahead of a major sale to a group of people who did not appear to speak English or be aware of the upcoming holiday sale. Visit 3: Goal was to purchase the appropriate sized product of the one product I typically use. Sales person urged me to try a scrub and a more concentrated version of a hand cream. I purchased both. Sales speaking in hushed voices regarding what was sold (nothing) but that they had "gotten" the person to commit to returning to the store in a day. Visit 4: Goal was to return the unopened product (tested in the store with sales, briefly and gently massaging it into my hands, and resulted later in no fewer than 9 BLISTERS, a bleeding lesion, and skin abrasions). Sales lectured me on how this "never" had happened to "anyone" before and said that I must have an "allergy." Then they created this weird drama saying that they could not stop selling the product to "everyone" (as if I asked them to do anything of the sort), and gave examples of how "Stanford" people used the product (how is that relevant?) So...no sympathy or empathy, but pure sales. No apologies until I mentioned that one would be helpful. I questioned my keeping the other large unopened product. But, after refunding my money for the lesion-producing product, they sneakily (?) kept the original receipt, which would have made that impossible. So, I went back to the store and with a oddly blank look, they gave me my receipt back. Possible Visit 5: I am thinking that when people show you who they are believe them. Thus will probaby return the third unopened product, because of the sales people who seem to only care about money, and because the product, based on the ingredient list, will not perform as sales claimed.

The staff has been consistently rude and incapable of listening.I came in yesterday looking to pick up my typical shower oil, and I brought in the bottle I had cleaned out days before for refill as directed. I left the bottle in the car when it was hot and used the air conditioning which caused there to be some condensation in the bottle. I told them I was happy to buy another bottle and this woman kept insisting I should spend another 2-3 hours there to wait for the bottle to dry after I said I would be happy to just buy another bottle twice. She kept asking if I was sure that I wanted to just buy another bottle. After informing her we only came to get this one thing and that we were more than happy to buy another bottle, she again attempted to persuade me to wait. I was tired of having my time wasted, so I just left. This is the 3rd time I have had staff in this location be rude to me. Not making that mistake again, no matter how convenient it is.

I've been plagued with the curse of dry hands this past winter. A combination of cold, dry air and frequent hand washing/sanitizing has not been kind to my hands. I've tried hand creams after hand creams to no avail. Usually after about an hour or so, my skin would start to feel dry again. I'd heard L'Occitane is known for their hand creams from my mom who also has suffered from a lifetime of dry hands and she always swore by it. A few friends had also recommended the brand after I complained about my dry hands. When I walked into the store, the store associate was busy assisting another customer at the register so I wasn't greeted right away. To be honest, that doesn't bother me, she is one person after all. I will say though, that associate (whom I later learned her name is Akie) really knows how to take care of customers. After the other customer left, she greeted me and made sure I was okay. She was attentive, and was able to answer my questions. She pointed me to their 25% shea butter hand cream after I brought up my concerns, which I ended up purchasing. She encouraged me to try on the various products, and gave me time and room to navigate the rest of the store. Needless to say, I was very happy with my experience. Then I come home to find another pleasant surprise: samples! Akie was very generous with the amount and the variety of samples too! For that, I'm definitely coming back. If you get a chance to work with her at this store, I highly recommend it. I'm happy with my purchase and very satisfied with the customer service too. I'm glad I went with Akie's recommendation. My hands are also pretty happy (and finally moisturized) too.
