Situated in Stanford University Campus near Stanford Shopping Mall. Cosmetics of all major brands available bit budget should be on a very higher side since all are very expensive.

Hours posted are misleading or they are just closed. Nobody working here around/after 4PM. I can't speak for earlier in the day. Several cosmetic drawers are left unlocked though, so I'm guessing if you're lucky you can find what you need and take it to another counter. I checked the hours online before going and stood around for 30 minutes at the kiosk, tried calling, looked through open drawers, couldn't find the product I needed, and left. Order online and don't waste your time, I guess.

Just walk away from the counter and come back another time if they say a Mac associate isn't on staff. The experience is night and day. I went to get a color match and they had someone from another counter help me, but I ended up leaving with much too light a shade (NC15). I know very little about makeup so I depend on the advice of the people at the counter. Even I could tell as soon as I got home the vial of concealer under natural light wasn't right for me. I went to return it in a hurry the next day and an actual Mac associate was on staff this time. He was incredibly helpful and processed the return quickly for me. He took one look at my face and told me to try NW20, which I'm looking forward to trying when I have more time to stay and check it out. He was honestly such a relief to speak to after having to make the hassle of a return trip to the mall.

MAC's Turquatic fragrance always has me running back. I accidentally did a double purchase online so I went into the store to return it. The lady who helped me was SO rude! Wasn't happy at all, just gave a bunch of attitude the whole time. It made me so uncomfortable and I was honestly mad that I was being treated that way. Too bad it's illegal to slap a b*tch. Side note: Working in a customer service facing role, you FAKE it till you make it. No matter what kind of day you're having, as soon as you walk through those doors you leave it all behind until you clock out! Nobody wants to see your sour a** face coming in to spend THEIR money. If you don't like your job, find a new one.

I don't normally review but I've never had such a disappointing interaction with customer service before! My sis-in-law and I had an event coming up and were planning on getting make-up services from the MAC counter. I called 2 weeks in advance to schedule our appointment and the girl was less than helpful. She put me on hold for a while, then came back and gave me a random date and time for make-up. I told her we had a specific date and time, so she placed me back on hold, then finally confirmed Friday at 4PM. The day of our event, we arrive at the MAC counter and no one is to be found. After a quite some time of standing around someone finally came and asked if we needed help. I told them we had appointments and the clerks seemed clueless. She finally finds our name in the appointment book but tells us no one from MAC is available, which was a bummer; I was looking forward to MAC products and purchase. It was a huge time consuming hesitation (when you're on a schedule for a specific event) but they finally offered to re-direct us to other counters, Lancí´me and Chanel. My SIL sat down and had her make-up done, while the manager gave me a long story about how the MAC counter manager was in surgery and employees were off or no-shows. Don't book appointments if you do not have coverage! So, trying to stay optimistic, I sat awkwardly at the Chanel station for at least 5 minutes before being acknowledged. I tried to be patient but after another 5 minutes, still no one has helped me. I got up and walked over to my SIL who was just about finished with her make-up. The clerk who did her make-up was kind enough to waive her fee, but after standing around for what was now an HOUR with no help, it was the least she could do. So from the booking, to the day of, MAC customer service was a huge fail. It's so discouraging when you're really looking forward to something and it completely falls apart. Again, I don't like writing bad reviews but since no-one at MAC seemed to care about their customers that day, I'd think they'd like to know.

This review is long overdue; and when I say "long" I mean nearly a year. I had my halloween make-up done by Patrizia last October. I called in very last minute, because I decided what I wanted to be a day before (Joker!) I was honestly just so impressed with how she did my make-up, plus the level of care and dedication she put into the session. When I came in to meet her, she showed me that she had done a little research, and had pictures of different options/looks. She did such a fantastic job!! She really took her time, and was very knowledgeable about the product she was using on my face. Although, I wasn't in my costume yet, anyone passing by knew I was the joker. People couldn't help but to stare in amazement of the transformation!! They kept giving me the *thumbs up* while walking by, or would nudge their friends to look at my make-up, "look, suicide squad!" That movie was huge last year... Anyway, I wish she could always do my make-up! If you're ever there, ask for this MUA!!
