I dropped off a pair of Red Wing Moc Toe boots for a resole. He finished on time, with the price I was quoted, and the workmanship was absolutely perfect. He even cleaned them. They literally look brand new after 3 years of being worn. Couldn't be happier, and I recommend to anyone.

I will not take my shoes or purses anywhere else. Robert, the owner, is very friendly and has always repaired any item I have brought in within the time frame he mentioned. Usually the turn around time is just a couple days and he goes above and beyond. Very reasonable prices too!

I recently had a backpack repaired at Midtown Shoe Repair. The owner suggested using leather to patch the worn-out part, as he didn't have the same material in stock. He assured me that the repair would look better so I paid $35 for the service. Unfortunately, the outcome did not meet my expectations. The single patch made the strap appear asymmetrical, and the worn shoulder strap was left untreated. To address this, I had to purchase a nylon strap in the same color and returned to request a redo repair. Although the second repair looks good, I was charged an additional $25. I don't think this extra charge is justified. When I expressed my concern, the owner argued that the second repair took more time and he didn't want to provide the service for free. Had I known this result, I would have sought another shop. So I can only give my experience a 2-star rating.

It's always a pleasure to visit this local business. He's done everything from resoling cross-country ski boots to sewing up torn leather in Birkenstocks. I almost wish I had more need for shoe repairs so I could give them more business.

Took great care of me when I was desperate to get a nice pair of shoes fixed. Excellent customer service with a friendly attitude. Great quality work! Even open Saturdays.

OverPaid 150$ for a horrible paint job painted it the wrong color and gave the wrong outsole shoes came out horrible

I took my Samsonite luggage to a Belmont shoe repair in need for one wheel. I was told that my luggage had no remedy and couldn't find a wheel as it was not existent. I was not picky and I made sure if that. I didn't want original parts. All I wanted was for my luggage to function even if it had a fuchsia wheel. I took my Samsonite luggage to Midtown Shoe Repair and it was ready within a week. Thank you for saving me $400 for a new Samsonite. You managed to find an alternative wheel. You are innovative and my luggage serves it's purpose. Thank you.

Mid town shoe repair or should I say disrepair! He promised to fix my hip pack and have it ready by the next day, to my dismay he hadn't even started on it when I came the following day. he gave me excuses, and said that I was rude to him on the contrary he was very nice to me. I know he has a lot of happy loyal customers unfortunately I am not and will not be among them.

If I could give more stars, I would. I came in just a few days before taking a trip and really needed my mini backpack repaired. The strap was about to break off and I really needed it for my trip. I had actually just looked into replacing it, but I wanted the exact same one and they don't make it anymore. I couldn't find anything similar enough so I started looking around to see if I could get it repaired. Not only did it get repaired, but the price was extremely reasonable and the turnaround was so quick! I had my purse in time for my trip. So it may seem silly how important a purse could be - but it's not just a purse. This is what I carry my emergency injection kit in for my chronic medical condition. I have to have it on me at all times in case I go into an Acute Arenal Crisis. I've grown attached to this specific purse because it fits the injection kit as well as snacks, electrolyte powders, extra medication, my water bottle - but it's also small enough so that it's not too heavy to carry around everywhere. You've no idea how much it means that I can keep using it :) Thank you.

Prices are a bit steep. It would be fine if the workmanship were better and my shoes were cleaned. But neither were cleaned, and the heels were done sloppily. I need to buy black paint and glue to smooth out the edges so the heels are flush with the shoes and the gaps are filled in. That’s ridiculous considering that’s what the shoe repair cost is supposed to include.

EQUESTRIANS WHO USE A LOT OF LEG, COME HERE FOR BOOT REPAIRS!! This guy is so sweet and so quick with repairs. Its hard to find shoe repair places that will repair your boots within 24-48 hrs in time for a lesson, show, or hack. I am a notorious boot destroyer and usually tear the lining of my boot zippers within a few months, causing my zippers to break. My lining was so bad and worn this time and he patched up the leather so nice and cleaned them for free! His prices are also very reasonable! Will be coming back when I eventually tear these boots again. Such a kind and friendly man who really knows what he is doing!!

Great little leather repair place. I had a leather belt that was splitting so I took it out to this shop and the guy really fixed it up. The owner is very straightforward with a great personality. And does a really fantastic job.
