Extremely expensive and has class times mainly during the daytime, even with scholarship from city. (For example, Sunnyvale's city-run Wilson Park ceramics charges way less and allows you to pay per drop-in). As a result, the space is extremely homogeneous--mainly older white women that don't need to work. Leia (not sure how to spell her name), one of the volunteers, makes me uncomfortable--she is racist and has confused me for other Asian students MULTIPLE times, even though I was there for TWO semesters and dropped in multiple times a week. I want to continue doing ceramics, but I am honestly considering driving all the way to Sunnyvale for a more friendly crowd and more affordable rates.

I enjoy the art exhibits a lot, high quality, but no café to draw us in to appreciate the art.

Great Art Center in the city of Palo Alto, CA. Came here for a free family event night. A lot of fun activities for kids such as clay sculpting, coloring, origami, and art viewing. There was also a dance performance towards the end. It is located in a nice area near the local library, park, and community garden. They offer various classes for all ages on all forms of art. Wonderful event space and art education.

This place always has a cool temperature inside, nice art galleries, and different art classes year-round for kids and teens to do. It is also by Rinconada Park/Pool, the library, and a gorgeous garden, which makes its location great.

What a wonderful place to have an event. The city of Palo Alto has done great to keep this place in amazing shape. It opens up in back to a patio that is a nice place to have an outdoor event. Fantastic location!

I never even knew this art center existed! I went a couple weeks ago for the Palo Alto blown pumpkin festival and I was completely astonished by their whole set up and creative design as well as a community garden!! Such a beautiful place to have lunch, we brought it from Green Lotus in San Jose, and then got to enjoy the garden area as well as looking at all the art fixtures on the property! The blown glass was beautifully and eloquently designed, but all of the pieces were at least $50 at starting. It was nice to see a 15 minute demonstration of how much detail And how much thoughtfulness goes into creating a pumpkin blown glass project, I really want to sign up for classes now!

Had some very negative experiences with some of the staff. Some of the people here are deeply unkind to others, which is sad because otherwise this place can be a great resource to the community
