The staff is amazing and very accommodating but there is no breakfast, they said no pets anymore but walking around you can hear dogs barking in everyother room. Good night sleep and nice rooms.

Lovely and underrated bed & breakfast with an outdoor patio. Room was spacious and very clean with a massive comfy bed. Staff were very attentive and polite too. Room was made every day and towels were freshly changed daily (if you think this is excessive, you can always hang the sign on your door informing not to). The whole place is very clean ; not just the rooms but in general.Soundproofing could be better as it’s near the train line and you could hear every time the train passed.

I went to Palo Alto for an executive IT program and had a great experience at this hotel.Especially a great service from the frontdesk team (Office) Mark, the guy is amazing, a great professional.Clean and safe rooms, the location is a little far from the Palo Alto’s downtown.I recommend it and would certainly come back at a next opportunity.

My daughter decided she was going to run the Wharf to Wharf race in Santa Cruz / Capitola and finding adequate lodging in that area proved difficult. So we decided to stay at the Palo Alto Inn and then just drive to Santa Cruz early in the morning. The Inn is surprisingly nice with updated rooms and very clean grounds. I loved the meditation space in the parking lot though the back of the building doesn’t have the best views of run down houses. The prices are reasonable and the location is excellent. They were replacing the roof while we were there and I’m sure it looks even better now. Overall, this is a fantastic option for motel like lodging. Excellent value and I’ll probably be back next year. Maybe I’ll even run the Wharf to Wharf again. It’s only been 25 years.Michael DelehantyCompass Real Estate

Not too bad of a stay, front desk was nice when checked in but that was the last I saw of him. Had some questions about the complementary breakfast that was advertised but nowhere to be found along with the front desk employee. Front door to office was locked at 9 am and when we checked out at 11 it was still locked. When I asked one of the employees they acted like they had no idea what I was talking about. A lot of advertising about how clean and sanitized everything was and how high of standards they have for cleanliness so it was a little comical to see a fridge still full of old food when we arrived. -1 star for cleanliness and -1 star for false advertisement.

A very nice hotel (motel) in Palo Alto. My room was spacious, clean, and smart. Water and soft drinks were complimentary in the room. There was a nice outdoor chill out area and free snacks in the main office. I found the hotel quiet and got a good nights sleep.

Wow! I really enjoyed the Palo Alto Inn. With their cheap prices and their quality room, it makes a perfect accommodation for those on a budget to visit Stanford or to attend a wedding in the area. They have really comfortable beds, but the pillows are a bit hard. Really nice staff and all the channels on the TV. It is in a great area, in between the two train stations: Palo Alto (40 minute walk) and St Antonio (20 minute walk). Just around the corner, you can find multiple restaurants with all kinds of foods such as Mexican, Chinese, Indian and much more. Not only do they have restaurants but they have a Safeway too! Also, they gave a two bus stations: one that goes straight to Stanford (8 minute walk) and another regular bus (3 minute walk). In sum, great place and I would definitely go again next time I am in Palo Alto.

Rooms were clean and tidy, exceeded our expectations. It was our first time visiting this area. My mom ran out of phone battery, manager was very nice and lent us a charger.

The total experience was a plus. The heater didn't work, and the USB ports were all faulty and when I informed the manager on duty, (even in my frustration because it was late) he came through for the win and provided a space heater as well as comp the room and beverages in the minibar. Overall 4 star rating. I have to give the room a 2 star for the room because of the heater and USB issue.Rooms: Needed slight maintenance.

Nice outdoor space and staff was very pleasant. My bathroom fan didn’t work so it was really humid in the room. Other than that, it was pretty nice for that area and price !!

Highly recommend staying here! It was very clean, quiet, and easy to get to. The room has a lot of nice additional features including an LED light in the bathroom around the mirror. Good sized closet, a few items in case anything was forgotten, and a selection of drinks/wine in the room (assumed for purchase). Very comfortable and the staff are great to work with! Close to many food and drink establishments (walking distance).

I stayed here last night before my appointment at Stanford hospital. While the place was sufficient for one night, it was definitely a "you get what you pay for" kind of moment. Don't get me wrong - the included sodas and snacks were nice and the room was clean and the front desk was helpful - these are all important things when you stay at a hotel, right?! BUT, this hotel is outdated, and for the money spent, I could have stayed at a cheaper hotel with a hot tub and pool for similar quality. OH, and it's SUPER noisy!! They shouldn't put people by the stairs if they have vacant rooms because the walls are paper thin and I heard every coming and going all night and early morning. Tip: stay on the second floor - since the walls are paper thin, so are the floors. If you don't wanna hear your upstairs neighbor doing jazzercise upstairs, then make this request. You'll thank me in the morning. It's ok, I'm not sad I stayed here but when I have to come back in the next few weeks to stay longer for more time at Stanford, I'll spend a few dollars more and stay at a nicer hotel with more amenities.
