Feeling very disappointed with one of the doctors. He would rather take his vacation and have a great time while my friend is sitting here waiting for them to return to have his cancer surgery. Well, hopefully it does not get worse and grow more while you are out having a great time. I pray that someone will have the compassion for you that you didn't have for him, if you ever need it.

It is a lot of pain when you have a loved one suffering from an illness, but when you see that in these places they only care about finishing the treatments even if the patient feels unwell, or does not have the necessary tests.

I am sure the doctors are great there but good luck scheduling your appointment if you don't have cancer and just need reconstruction surgery or second opinion.
Scheduling takes hours then it will be cancelled.
You , by stupid policies, cannot schedule appointments with two doctors, plastic surgeons to have second opinion.
Appointments are booked if no cancer 2-5 months ahead. I will update after my appointment

Quality care and treatment from the moment you park and check. My mother has been a patient for the last several months, recently having her 2nd lumpectomy and first with the Stanford Cancer Center, located in Stanford via Palo, Alto in Santa Clara County. Stanford Medicine, "delivers unparalleled care for each patient's unique needs." The process was a full day on the third floor and receiving both text notifications, monitor updates in the waiting area and phone calls from both surgeons before and after each procedure was very comforting. While in the waiting area masks are required, and a low to library tone is preferred as calls and conversations can echo down the hall. You have a access to free Wi-Fi (no password needed), single use restrooms, chairs, benches or small sofas. I was able to keep my mind busy with work throughout the day with a few plug outlets along the corners, wall and even in the floor. There's a computer (with two) area as well and when busy 30 minutes is the max use so others can be allowed as well. Family and child friendly space in the waiting area as well (changing stations in two out of the three restrooms). All information stays confidential on the monitors, patients are listed by numbers given as are the pre-Op, in-surgery, and in-recovery time... It's color coded to make it easier to note as well. You can purchase snacks, food, beverage, etc on the first floor at the Zoom Caffe, but there are some great food spots in the area and a cafeteria in the Children's Health building. The pharmacy is on the main floor and closes at 5PM. Depending on the care you receive, all areas are clearly labeled to guide you with ease. Parking validation is available, but unfortunately we weren't informed of this, but $18 for the day to ensure that my mother's surgery and care was meet to the best standard is all I could ask for. Additionally we had some issues with filing prescriptions that took about two hours to resolve, though did get resolved. We were missing a single hard copy of one requested document, but overall it's one of the best facilities in the Bay Area... Not to mention the state of California!

Reconsider your options to come here.Your life , in my opinion, is safer elsewhere.Following a series of mishaps , errors , lost results, lack of proper screening, the pain and suffering we endured from this cancer centre was immense. My twin sister, whom I write this post in service of, eventually died a tragic death at age 37.

Your infusion center front desk associates could be more productive and attentive of people. After coming in to check in for chemo and labs. Lab work was completed and my wife and I sat and waited for her 2 pm appointment. Labs were done at 12:40pm. We continued to wait and wait until we noticed 7-10 patients after we first checked in go back before us. At 2:10pm we were then told by the same guy that checked us in initially that you have to check in twice. Here we sit at 2:30pm finally getting started as we have now wasted almost 2 hours of waiting. Seriously what a joke. Your redwood center is way more organized and have had zero issues with them for 3 treatments. Now we switch to this center and first time we have an issue.

I had to have surgery right away. I was in the middle of a move from Wi to Fresno so everything had to get transferred over. I will admit there was some issues getting everything & everyone on board with confirmations/billing ect. But once the insurance & billing was settled I arrived in Ca & three days later was admitted & shortly after arranged the date for surgery. The Dr. Diver & nurses were extremely confident & showed compassion. They walked me through everything step by step & what to expect every step of the way. They allowed a family member to accompany me right up till the surgery. I couldn’t be more pleased with this place. There is somewhat of a wait but it’s not too bad considering it’s a huge place & have lots of patient’s. So be patient be kind & be thankful we get to live another day. The experience starts with you❤️

Giving a great hospital a great review is kind of pointless. This is specifically about the quality of treatment I received with my one-week stay in the H wing of the 300 building. Cancer treatment seldom brings smiles to many faces. I do expect to receive the best possible care from the primary care team, that's why I chose them to deal with my cancer. The general quality of care I received from the nursing/RT and housekeeping staff are so far above expectations it's unreal. I never experienced or saw anything but positive, uplifting interactions PERIOD. Even the guys that empty the trash were cordial. With as good as the general care I received was, 5 people went so far over the top, I have to consider them friends I would go out of my way for. Patty, Alex, Pearl, Socrates, and especially Cathy made what should have been a very scary time, as pleasurable as possible, and I will be forever grateful for the treatment I received from them. As a SBO I know what a challenge it is to find good, never mind great help. I hope the administrators at Stanford realize how lucky and fortunate they are to have such great staff members hey can rely on.

We feel nothing but gratitude to the Stanford Cancer Center Located in Palo Alto. This team of knowledgable and caring human beings and professionals gave my mother a second chance on life! They became our family, our support on daily basis, both clinically and spiritually. Amazing treatment from Dr. Myall , Dr. Chin, Dr. Chan, Jason K and Judy P and their whole team. I call them our Angels on Earth. My review is not based on just one visit, but on 33 daily visits to radiation plus multiple chemotherapy and immunotherapy visits along with doctors appointments. The patient check in at the at the front is always so hassle free, even joyful since they already knew us by name. Thank you so much for your excellent care!

They will rush your loved one to die. they will keep pushing you to do DNR/DNI every single day even you keep saying no! even the family said no to DNR/DNI they will say that the terminally ill confused patient agreed to it.Every doctor that will enter to your room will ask your family to do DNR/DNI every single day sometimes more than 3x a day!!! Then when you see the palliative doctor be ready because they will start giving meds to kill your loved one!

Stanford was a breath of fresh air after my very difficult cancer experience at Sutter. Sutter Health specialists misdiagnosed my cancer and then tried to give me the wrong radiation treatment. At Stanford, I was treated like a human being with cancer and not as a cancer attached to a human being. Stanford doctors were nothing but professional, kind, patient, and empathetic. They proposed a conservative treatment plan tailored to my needs, my health goals, and my beliefs. I was 100% in the driver's seat of my care at Stanford as opposed to sitting in silence the backseat at Sutter with no say on the direction of my cancer treatment or decisions.
