$95 diagnostic fee, which means they charge you almost a hundred dollars to not fix anything. Meanwhile at S & A (different shop) they fixed my car for free because it was a small problem and took less than 5 min to fix. Don't come to Walton's unless you're looking to throw away your money.

$35 for a flat repair? You must be out of your mind. Go to America's tires, it's free.

Way over priced for all their services. Over charged my sister and took advantage of her knowing she's not knowledgeable about cars

Don’t waste your time and money here. Went there to get an estimate for a repair job (exchange two rear shock absorbers). The man behind the desk couldn’t be more uninterested in helping new customers. Didn’t even bother to leave the desk and have a look at the car. He just told me the expected costs which were more than double than another place downtown in Torrance was asking. Even if you live up the hill in Palos Verdes do yourself a favor and go downtown if you expect a fair price and courteous interaction with customers. They’ll never see me again.

Asked for a price to change my alternator and this guy quoted me $1300 for a part and $290 for labor...Find out that a new Bosch alternator part cost $480 and labor at other shops charge $145.

Hi,Our family used this body shop for 3 years for brakes and oil changes but today our family member a life threatening experience and will not return to this shop again. The manager brought our car to do the pick up service and our family member got into the car so the owner can be dropped off at the auto shop. However, the manager drove 70 mph in a neighborhood area with extreme breaks that our family individual felt horrified and scared. Rather than apologizing, he held grudges about getting the pick up location (our home) address wrong when it was his fault (we mentioned twice the address and their drop off service guy knew the correct address). In the horrible moment, our family member couldn’t say anything because one is not fluent in English. When our family member went back to the store, the manager denied the fact he drove 70mph leaving one scared. This is ABSOLUTELY UNACCEPTABLE action toward a customer and toward a person.Service: Brakes

Jimmy and Craig have been the go to automotive repair guys for my family for decades. My parents went to them for their cars and I have gone to them for mine. They are trustworthy and they care. They consistently go above and beyond and it is a pleasure working with them. They give thoughtful answers on what repairs should be done now and want you can safely wait to do. I also value their advice on the most practical way to deal with something. The main mechanic and possibly others seem to have been there many years. It is very convenient that Walton’s provides drivers to drop you off home and then to pick you up so you can get your car. While there is turnover among the drivers as one would expect in that position, it generally seems to be they are training to become mechanics or after they leave to try something else, they come back. I continue to go to this Walton’s even though I have moved. My Dad’s car was his prized possession and he trusted it to them. They kept his 1993 Pontiac Bonneville going until I decided it was time to give it its richly deserved retirement in 2022 because it was difficult to get some parts. I will be forever grateful for the many kindnesses they have shown. I once managed to lock the keys and my mother’s wheelchair in the trunk of the car while the car was in my garage with her seated in the car. Without the wheelchair we were not able to get her into the house and without the keys I could not drive the car anywhere. Even though the shop was extremely busy and some people were out sick, Jimmy drove all the way to our place, got in the backseat and was able to remove parts of the seat and fish the keys out of the trunk! Thank you to Jimmy and Craig for everything over all of these decades!

Based on my experience explained below, they are not a good choice for good quality service. If they try to convince you that they did " this or that" or did not do "this or that" to save you money, they are probably doing that to cover-up their poor service quality. I hit a road hazard while driving in my neighborhood. This resulted in two blown out tires on the passenger side and a bent rim on the front passenger side. Walton's auto shop was nearby. So, I drove my car there. The manager told me that he will replace all four tires with low-cost tires and replace the damaged rim with a good used rim. I also asked him to check the brakes. He told me that the rear brakes required replacement. I agreed. Four days later the manager called me stating that the car was ready to go. The invoice for the above work was $1800. This car has Tire Pressure Monitors (TPMs) on all four wheels. As soon as I got home, I noticed that the TPM warning light was ON which is indicative of low tire pressure. So, I drove back to Walton's and showed the manager the TPM warning light. He checked to make sure that the tire pressures were correct and tried to rest the warning indicator, but he could not do so. He told me that one (or more) TPMs has to be replaced and the cost to fix that would around $200+. Alternately, to save money, I could do the "old fashioned" way - walk around the car to ensure the tire pressures are OK before I take the car out. When I questioned him further why he did not see the TPM warning light on the dash board, he tried to convince me that he was trying to save money! Here is my take on this conversation: 1. The manger (and the mechanic) did not know that the car had TPMs. 2. They did not check that the new rim had the TPM. If they did, they have could have used the TPM from the old rim. 3. They did not check for any warning lights on the dash board. If they did, they could not have missed it. 4. They did not know about TPM warning light till showed them

Had a bad oil leak in my 1987 Pontiac Fiero. They had to completely remove the engine to get to the leaking seals. This is a very difficult car to work with but they were great. I will trust them with any future work
