We had three units here for several years. None of our units burned in the Camp Fire. We no longer need storage in Paradise. I sure will miss it ? The staff is friendly, honest and very helpful.

Manager does not know how to do her job correctly. Tenants are suffering. This manager has screwed up on our unit so many times when told or asked to put it on auto payment she did not do so so we thought that everything was okay and it was all going through because we didn't get any emails from her or call saying that we are late or overdue until one day we walked up and there was a lock on our unit and her saying that we hadn't paid in over 2 months I had to contact her to get even any kind of inkling that we were late now they are trying to sell my unit I have sent five different checks to cover the amount and to which they have been returned to sender they're trying to sell my things illegally I cannot get a hold of her she will not give me the owner's name and number just keeps giving me his brother's name who tells me it's not their responsibility to send out late notices or notices of any kind I never got a lean sale notice I never got a late notice I never got a lockout notice then she proceeds to give me a email copy of a notice that should have been sent or emailed or given to me 2 months prior that say that she would lock us out 15 days after the notice but she locked us out on the day of the notice wants me to pay for two and a half months of storage rental that I had no access to it not at my fault but at her own especially when she locked us out 15 days before she could and we didn't even know we were late because she was saying it was on auto payment.Still trying to get the owners number to talk to them before having to file a lawsuit to no avail because she refuses to give it to us at wit's end and losing all my kids' childhood belongings

If you need a place to store your belongings, this is the place to do it!! It's safe, secure and perfectly located as you enter the sweet town of Paradise, CA. I've been with this storage company almost 10 yrs and they've only raise my rent $15 once. That, in itself is such a gift to me as I watch the prices of everything skyrocket around me!!I've never had any problems with them. In fact, everyone is super friendly and willing to help whenever. I've never been robbed or heard of robberies there where as, this has been an issue at other storage companies in the past. I'm very happy with Five Star Mini Storage and believe you will too!

Went in and payed for my last month a week and a half ago, the lady there told me she could prorate the charge if I am out early. I said that would be great I will be out in a week or 2 at the most. How much do I owe you then she gave me a bill for the full amount and I paid it. Come back today and move out to be told I can't get prorated refund because I paid the whole month. Pretty shady way to run your business lady thanks for nothing!

Been renting here well over 10 years and have no desire to go anywhere else. Always clean and safe. Great communication from staff. These are good people.

Lila is very rude & wont give me the owners number so I can call. Telling renter she’s gonna give her a heart attack, and that she’s the only one that’s late with her payment, everyone else is paid up, Very rude, I’m on the phone now, hearing her be rude to the paying party!

Lila is great! Shes so friendly. She would come out in her golf cart to say hi when you came in. Almost everything in the unit survived the fire.

I currently have items stored at 5 star. After the Camp Fire, zone 5 was finally opened to residents and the general public. The main gate is stuck open. No manager or personnel on duty. So that means the place is open to looting and theft. I put an additional lock on my unit in hopes that would deter any theft. The phone number to contact 5 star is not working and they won't respond to emails. I've sent 3. I use an email verification service, and so far they haven't opened any emails. No notices have been sent to my PO box. Today I looked into their office and noticed their computer is gone. So someone must have access to files etc. PG&E has left a notice that power is now turned on and it is up to the owner/manager to turn on the main breaker. Did these people not survive the fire? Are we on our own? Sure seems that is the case. Started removing my belongings today. Hopefully nothing will get stolen before I can get everything else. Hopefully 5 star won't try to collect fees because the town was evacuated and I couldn't access my storage unit. Best of luck to anyone using this facility.
