We have stayed here many times and was never disappointed. We live in the bay area now. But never miss a chance to stay over. Our dog Sissy loves it too.Rooms: Clean, well taken care of, fridge TV phone.Walkability: Took our walks with Sissy. Wide open spaces, quite.Noteworthy details: The staff were hands on. We came in late and they made special arrangements for getting into our room. Fresh coffee and drinks/snacks were a morning treat.

The staff are friendly and answer all your questions. The room was big and easy to move around in. There was a sink in the bathroom and a sink outside the bathroom. Makes it easy for two people to get ready for the day. The bed was so comfortable that I had to ask what it was. Huge television, but it fits the size of the room. The grounds are beautiful. The pool is large and kept clean. I plan on going back with friends. Dog friendly.

Imagine. Driving into what seems at first, a bit odd, as all you see is a small, but quant professional plaza. Once you pass it, you'll find yourself in a motel entry like most, until you walk in and are greeted by a team of friendly, professionals and a small, yet fun boutique with beautiful items from Peru, to necessary items and trinkets you must stop by to check, rather or not you plan on staying. If you decide to, it can be spendy. We had a 1 king size bed and paid $155 for one night. Let me tell you though, totally worth it and this is why. First off, it's Paradise! A quaint town with folks who are friendly, strong, versatile and working together to bring back, what was once lost in a horrific fire. Second, it's a hidden little gem of treasure. Once you walk into your room with your temporary golden key, the room, bathroom is spacious with a small side kitchen area with a small fridge, microwave, tv which provides a great variety of things to watch. And if you care to be outside, you have your own sliding door which leads into your own patio. There you'll find a nicely lit, seating area and a well kept landscaping, with an atmosphere that is tranquil and serene. The pool and spa was an amazing plus after a hard day. And clean laundry and breakfast goodies were very nice too. But..... don't just take my experience. Close to conveniences, all you need is to come and check it out for yourself! And definitely taking a bit of paradise with you. I know I have!Nearby activities: Chico is just 15 min away. Many things to do too.Safety: I felt completely safe.Walkability: Best to have transportation, but if you enjoy walking like me, it's doable.Noteworthy details: Very conveniently located

We stayed here several days, the staff are extremely friendly and helpful. The motel sits back off the main road and is a quiet place to relax. We are very happy with our stay at The Ponderosa Gardens and we recommend it as a great place to stay.

Nestled in the heart of Paradise, we found this quaint little motel and it's charming owner, a truly wonderful place. My wife Peggy and I, along with our dog Wally thoroughly enjoyed our accommodations. Our room had a warm cottage feel, and an outside patio with chairs. It was impeccably clean and well cared for by Sandra and her friendly staff. Sally was especially kind and sweet. We all particularly loved the garden setting, mature trees, along with the peace and serenity that was unexpected in central Paradise. Surely you will want to visit the Ponderosa Gardens Motel if you ever find yourself in Paradise, especially if you have a pet. Wally can vouch for that!

I stayed overnight April 11th. I was hotel hunting on my phone. I went to another one that was full up and they suggested Ponderosa Gardens. It's not a several-story block of rooms but a series of one-story rooms with little patios surrounded by gardens. Delightful! I would drive back to Paradise just to stay here again.

It wonderful. If you have kids there a pool to play and cool down in. A hot tub that is also great. The backyards to every unit it what really sets this place apart. The staff here is fantastic. Can't say enough about the place.

I'll never stay again. I was startled awake my first night in town, by some idiot next door doing whipits. He assaulted a young girl. I told the front desk and they did absolutely nothing to relieve me of the bad experience. I expected to come to Paradise and relax, as I was forced to leave because of the Camp Fire. I do not recommend this hotel and I'll never be back. I even asked for the owner's number and was refused. Good riddance.A response to the owner. I have stayed at your hotel twice. This last hotel stay was paid for under my partner's name. Regardless, I do not appreciate the way I was treated after the massive cost of the hotel stay. Your price gouging after the fire is offensive. You could have simply asked for my name and room number to resolve my issue instead of lying on the internet and avoiding me. No problem. Just WONT BE BACK. Business owners like you are just another reason why Paradise has gone downhill.

We absolutely LOVED our stay at ponderosa gardens, the grounds were immaculately kept and the rooms were nice and cozy. Rooms have been recently updated so that was a plus. They offer a very generous continental breakfast which includes pastries, juice, coffee, tea, cereal, milk, poptarts, naked brand smoothies and even some healthier options like hard boiled eggs and oatmeal. We loved being able to wake up in the morning and enjoy breakfast on our patio which was facing the gardens. The grounds are beautiful to walk around, and the property is also right next to a paved walking trail which is great. They are also pet friendly which was awesome for us because we were traveling with our little dog. If you have kids with you, Ponderosa gardens offers a pool and a little playground fit for young children on the property. Lastly, there is a super cute gift shop in the office stocked with a wide variety of toiletries if you need them and they even have some dog food, treats, and other pet things available for purchase in case you forget anything for your pet. Overall, we would definitely stay here again. The amenities and beauty of this place can't be beat.
