Y'all this place is interesting- but not at all special. They did well with the phone booth bit- but inside it's pretty plain. The phone ringing (the door bell to let people in) was too loud and spoiled what little ambiance there was in this single dark room. It felt more basement bar than speakeasy- and honestly maybe that's what they were going for. Did not meet or exceed my expectations, which is my fault. The line for drinks was very long. By the time we were done drinking our first round, the party originally behind us still had not been served. One guy making drinks and answering the phone. When we left there was probably 30 people inside- Most of them waiting for drinks. I'd pass on this one.

Cute and small speakeasy. It's very small , not many tables and stools at the bar to sit. You'll have to wait a while if the bar is full.

My favorite little happy place to visit in the evening and take friends to and watch them be delighted by the discovery as well.
The cocktail with oat milk (forgot its name) is my absolute favorite. It’s such a surprise! Several people who have tried it also loved it and said they will be getting that one next time.
The ambience here is pretty special. It feels secretive and magical and relaxing, and so many other things, all at once. The bartender is pretty interesting as well, and if he’s not busy, does enjoy having a little chat about the place or his cocktail inventions.
PS. The coin/resin bar is gorgeous, especially with the dim amber lighting!

Lowkey spot with dim lights and great cocktails! It was small and intimate. They had two tables that sat 4 people and several 2 seater tables along each side of the wall. The bar area has hooks for purses and outlets!
The bartender takes a lot of care in crafting the cocktails. You can tell that he enjoys what he does! Great selection of drinks and many new things to try. They had a lot of drinks with whiskey and bourbon which was nice. They also had a sign about a whiskey Wednesday that looked really interesting!
The clover club and kentucky buck were phenomenal.

Fun speakeasy with great drinks. Was a bit tight in seating and two of us split a chair for a while until we managed to get another. Loved the decor and we all really enjoyed our drinks. Not hard to get into but could easily be confused with the tiki bar. The rodeo was delicious and didn't taste too boozy.

Lovely tiny bar under the main bar. Cute monkey decor and there's a little restroom down there. Drinks were delicious. Bartender was great as was the bar back.

Nice spot. Good cocktails. I was told the code word to get in is: “Bananas don’t wear flip flops”

Really enjoyed this experience. Delicious cocktails & a good range of options to choose from. Highly recommend the menta milk punch. Enter through the 35er, go downstairs to the tiki bar and you'll find an old telephone at the end. Pick it up & they'll let you in!

the way to enter this place was pretty cool and so the interior and ambiance inside was even cooler!! the drinks were alright but i personally do not know much about drinks. i got the clover club (bottom of image) and it was perfect for me since i don't like too much alcohol taste--it was sweet and fresh. the bartender was also kind!

Super great speakeasy in the basement of 35er. Ive been to 35er a ton before and had never known this place exists. They make some really fun cocktails and it's a joy to even just watch the bartenders make them. Place has great mood lighting and it's easy to just chat and enjoy the vibe. Went back like the next day wanting to show it off to other friends.

This place hits all the right notes. Sometimes you go to a speakeasy, and it feels like an expensive gimmick. It's exciting to have that feeling of discovering a hidden gem - but if the drinks are meh, I won't be back. That being said, I will absolutely be back to 10 1/4. It gets very crowded in this little bar, but we were still able to snag a table. It reminded me a bit of Pirates of the Caribbean ride at Disneyland - warm, kind of humid with all the people tucked in, a little magical. The drinks were freaking good. The bartenders know what they're doing and they do their magic while also being personable and attentive. I had a friend tell me about this place and it was the best drink she's ever had. I can see how she's say that - it's a beautiful balanced cocktail! I will say, I didn't taste much alcohol in mine or my friends menthe cocktail. Only the old Royal had that hint. Not necessarily a bad thing for me, as I gravitate towards clear liquor anyhow, but heads up for those that like to taste that alcohol a bit more. I'll definitely be back.

Walked through 35r to get downstairs - once downstairs you walk into the phone booth. Use the phone booth to call and advise how many guests are are with you. Once you hear a buzz sound you enter. Great cocktail selection. Ordered lava drink wit rum - delicious! Highly recommend if in Pasadena !

I've been going here for a while now, and it's consistently a great experience every time. The bartenders have a great range from the solid classics to something unique that you've never tried before, but you'll be glad that you did.
