If you like the old dark wood decor bar ambience, check it out. The Margaritas are sublime, but I admit I am more addicted to Mijares probably because it is on my home commute path. The restaurant side is much brighter, and family friendly yet unremarkable. It's difficult for this reviewer to judge Mexican Cuisine while being a Francophile. All I can say is if you're hungry and happen to be nearby, park on the street because the parking in back is minuscule, then sit in the bar, order a drink and whatever tamale you like.

Amigos is my home away from home. We love the servers, we dig the food, but what we really come for are the house margaritas. They are STRONG, just how we like them.

The food & drinks are delicious and good value. One Cadillac margarita & you're already a little toasted. lol I also like the ambience especially in the bar. It's a friendly place and just good Mexican food.

The hostess lady was rude. If they having a bad day don't come to work and take out on customers who just come to eat.. treat everyone the same!! I felt discriminated.

Alright. If you're reading this now-in 2024 and beyond, just stop wasting your time at all the other Mexican Food and Drink spots in Pasadena and get over to Amigos. Protip number 1: Parking fills up so either find parking around the corner or park in the lot across the way but be aware it is not completely cool to do so--so go early or Uber in for your cameo appearance. Protip number 2: the "Cantina" side is more interesting in a hangout kind of way but it is small. If you don't mind, the other "restaurant" side is also just as cool. After a couple of drinks you won't really care where you are anyway. Food: The food is definitely delicious and comes out on a hot oven finished plate. I personally think the Carnitas are some of the very best i've had anywhere in California, so I suggest that Carnitas plate... Report back your findings after you try it. The Carnitas Super Nachos (as seen in the photo I posted, were so good I almost didn't share with my Girlfriend but my civility kicked in and took over. The whole menu is really really good food and perfect for a night out and in many cases, if you're strapped for cash, they give you enough to share. Drinks: Off the chart. What are you even doing at a Mexican Restaurant and bar if you are scared of what tequila did to you in 1996? Get the Margarita-on the rocks and salted and if you keep it at that level, you'll be chill. Have two. If you decide you want to up your game and level up, try the Cadillac. You truly only *need* one, but i'm not going to stop you from doing your thing. I get one and i'm good. lol. The jukebox is good and the staff are excellent and attentive and keep the background going as they should. DEFINITELY recommended! It's a great spot! If you've gotten this far in the review, you've waited too long to hit up AMIGO'S. Now GO!!

Went in last night for some food and beverages. The bartender was very nice and attentive. We ordered some tacos which were tasty, good sized, and reasonably priced. The margaritas were good and had decent amount of booze in them!

Hell no to the no no no (hell to the no) Yeah no.. Want to like it, especially when every Mexican food place is closed early or just flat out closed on a Tuesday ( damn son, what the fuck?) But it's a nah. I went safe route, ordered an Amigo Margarita, ordered the house special, even asked for a recommendation from the host and it was just not it.. idk I'd say go somewhere else Sorry Amigos

3 different orders, all incorrect but kept them. Last one ordered was chicken and shrimp fajitas. Got beef and shrimp instead. Shrimp qty very low (5 total) with tails still on. Rest of meal had a few crusty shrimp tails only in the beef as fragments. Beef was very old and difficult to chew. Other meals in the past included us eating there. My wife’s drink handed to us had a stain on the top (someone else’s finished drink just reloaded for us — not washed). First time was a fajita meal with very tiny chip fragments in the recooked bean spread. We are never eating there again. Those chip fragments meant they’re using left over meals and dumping on our plate. Noticed others are ok, but ours was not. I’d be careful if I were you. It’s disgustingKid-friendliness: One time we ate there it was very very loud. I don’t see children feeling ok

Very good Mexican Restaurant. Lunch specials are good portions with very reasonable prices.
