Aragon Training Academy is an outstanding Muay Thai gym right on Colorado Boulevard in Pasadena, just a short walk from the Rose Parade route. Josh, who runs the gym, has been training in Muay Thai since he was a kid, and it shows in his skill, discipline, and coaching style. Now his own son is following in his footsteps as a fighter, which speaks volumes about the passion and family legacy behind this place.
The other coaches are excellent too—especially Brandol, who also started training when he was young. Their combined experience means every class is packed with knowledge, solid technique, and a motivating energy that keeps you pushing yourself.
This gym is no joke—it’s all about hard work, dedication, and commitment. Whether you want to compete or simply train for fitness and confidence, the team at Aragon creates an environment where you can grow and succeed. I never set out to be a fighter, but I lost a lot of weight here and gained real self-defense skills and confidence.
If you’re serious about Muay Thai or just want a challenge that delivers results, Aragon Training Academy is the place to be.

Probably one the best gym I’ve ever trained in. Coaches really know the details that will get you where you want to be. Within 3 months, my endurance and skill level got a massive upgrade.

1 month in and very happy; Love the personalized attention! My 13yo son has since grown accustomed to physical contact, and my 11yo loves the opportunity to work out all his aggression. The coaches are the real deal, and both in skill and attitude are great role models.

My son had been asking me to put him in self defense classes and I came across ATA! I went in and spoke to Cynthia, she is one of the owners. She was super informative and had a lot of useful information about Muy Thai. Her husband Josh is the head coach/trainer. They offered one free class and we definitely took advantage of it. The environment is super clean, highly organized and friendly atmosphere. My son was immediately comfortable as Josh worked him individually on the fundamentals. Needless to say, I signed my son up for classes 3 times a week and they were super affordable. My son has been attending for a while now and I definitely have noticed a positive change in his confidence and overall personality. I would definitely recommend sending your kids or yourself for classes. I actually attend as well for the exercise and I absolutely love it!

I've been a member at Aragon since August and I've had a 5 star experience so far. I'm no pro fighter but I've been a member at many fight gyms over the last 15 years and this is one of the best I've been to. The vibes are excellent here. Josh and his team of trainers all of whom are active amateur and pro fighters are all extremely professional and very supportive. No tough guy meathead attitudes here. Lots of ladies train here too. Good variety of skill levels from beginners to experienced. It's very very clean which is not easy to find. They have a shower and very clean bathrooms. I attend morning classes which works better for my schedule and it's not easy to find a place to train with morning classes. The workouts focus on a combination of fitness and technique. If you're in the market for a boxing/Muay Thai gym check this place out!

My 6 year old takes private boxing lessons and the staff here are amazing. They've really mastered the family feel. They know how to teach kids and adults and the energy and vibe of this place is awesome

I go there specifically for muay thai (but they have other stuff) - the place is clean and also have weights so its 2-in-1 bonus.I love they focus on techniques, not just cardio, people are very nice, and love can do sparring.
