Great place for an oil change! I brought in my lowered Mitsubishi Evolution X (which is already a low car) and they had no problems doing work on it. Jiffy Lube on Walnut was trying to charge me $70 even though I had my own oil and filter, Del Mar Auto did it for $45!! That is the best price I have found in Pasadena, and they checked my tires for free. I was impressed by their car knowledge/passion and friendliness. I will be coming back for my future mechanic needs!

I took my Lexus in last week. I got an honest and accurate estimate. Timely service, and a great price! VERY HAPPY WITH IT! I've been here before, the last time something went south on my vehicle. They fixed it perfect then too. I'm going to keep telling my friends about this place!

I called to see if they could help me get the spring installed back onto my strut, I brought it in and picked it up later that afternoon. Prior to this I had called around at least two other shops and they refused to do it -- really glad Hutch was willing to handle it.

I've been in LA for 5 years and finally, blessedly got referred to this place after my car started WAILING, sort of whir of desperation. Hutch heard me from down the road and fixed it in like a day. Super sharp, super flexible, super helpful, and so transparent-- truly 10s across the board. Will only be coming here, now and forever.

Can't say enough good things about this shop. The radiator on my son's jeep broke and I found DelMar Auto on Google and they had great reviews. I couldn't be happier with the customer service and the results. They fixed the jeep in one day...the price was what my husband thought it would be and they did a great job. This will be our go to place for service. Thank you so much.

The Schrader Valve wasn't the issue for my A/C and I found they charged a little more than they quoted. I went back another time for a transmission concern and my car was driven pretty hard. The guy seem to be in a bad mood. I'm not sure if abusing my car was necessary for the diagnosis. Unfortunately, I won't be coming back.

Amazing service, came on a Saturday and needed to get something fixed. One of the gentlemen in the front was about to close up but still offered to help. Highly recommend as your neighborhood mechanic!

At first impression Hutch (owner) seems smart and charming, even honest. That might even be your experience with him if you have a new car with little work ever needed, maybe some oil changes. But he is a mechanic after all and should be able to actually fix cars. He gave us bad advice after not being able to fix a Toyota then when we got another car he was unable to fix that one either but charged us as if he did. Twice we drove off from his shop breaking down. He never wants to give refunds so he says he'll fix it but will put you off at the back of the list after other customers. Weeks will go by as he has your car. His treatment was disgusting, taking advantage, attempting to make deals geared for him to somehow benefit from your losses. Never go to this charmer!! Stay clear!
