Got my hair curled this weekend, my stylist was super aggressive with my hair. I thought everything was fine but the last couple days after I washed my hair I noticed there are a couple pieces that are absolutely fried. NEVER coming back.

Been here before. My daughter got a great blowout. I came here to get a blowout myself with the expectation of our last visit. My daughter got a mai tai and I requested volume, volume, volume! I got paired with somebody who was on their first day (found pout after and no training) who did not know what they were doing. I expressed by that I did not have the volume that I had requested. They tried to create volume with hairspray and NOT BLOWOUT. I waa still not satisfied as my hair looked like what I can do at home. There was no discount and no offer to do another blowout. I asked and the reception woman who was super nice said shift manager stated this. Very unhappy about service. Please do yourself a favor and try another Drybar.
Update: After contacting both Drybar Headquarters for Salon and Products, someone was kind enough to contact me to provide refund. I'd say, go in, talk to one of the employees to set up appt directly instead of website.

I love Sophia
She has a great personality, listens to what you want and makes sure step by step it’s turning out the way you like. I’ve been to her a couple times and plan to continue to come through- I got a nice bouncy blow out and I am pleased!!

I liked the lady that did my hair but Drybar’s business practices have truly gone downhill. They now charge more for a simple blowout and then tacked on an “extended time” fee without me knowing. Obviously, my hair is going to take longer because I have coarse. African American hair. Is this covert discrimination? Additionally, they are really trying to upsell all their useless hair products when you’re in the chair which I don’t like. You can tell this company is trying to cut more corners than it ever did before. The entire experience is mediocre and not worth your time. Will not be coming back to any dry bar in the future. Ladies save your money!

Sophia was so lovely. Such a great shampoo and blowout experience while in town for an event. Early morning hours on Sunday are much appreciated!

This location really needs to work on their customer service—starting with the manager.
1. There was no greeting. No effort to make a client feel welcomed.
2. The entire experience felt rushed, like the staff just wanted to go home. That’s not the customer’s fault—if you accept late appointments, you should deliver the same level of service.
3. I was given attitude just for requesting a specific style, as if I was wrong for even asking. If a service isn’t offered, communicate that professionally—don’t make the customer feel uncomfortable for speaking up.
You’re paying for a service that should make you feel confident and heard. Instead, I felt like I couldn’t even express that I wasn’t happy with how things looked. The energy was “hurry up and leave,” not “how can we help you?”
As a manager, it’s your job to set the tone, train your team, and make sure every paying customer is treated with respect—no matter what time it is. If you can’t deliver that level of service, then don’t accept late appointments. And if you’re too tired or frustrated to work with people, maybe customer service isn’t for you.
I’ve been here before and didn’t have an issue. But this experience was disappointing, unprofessional, and honestly embarrassing for a business. I do not recommend coming here until serious changes are made.

The overall experience was good. Not great. My overarching issue was how insanely uncomfortable the chair was during my blow out! I’ve been to several Dry Bar locations and don’t remember the chairs being so uncomfortable. I don’t remember if they are all the same or not. I’m thinking not, and it was so bad I won’t go back to this location unless changes are made. Solid blow out.

I went to this location 5-6 times and each time they were at least 20 minutes behind at some point I had to wait 35 minutes and guess what , I didn’t complain ones, I saw they were pretty busy. A day ago I had to cancel my appointment and just saw they charged me a cancelation fee with the card they didn’t have on file , so they just added my card on file without even asking my permission to do so. When it comes to hair dressers there it’s 50/50 chance you get a stylist that does her job well , and other times it’s just not worth the pay. This whole experience left a very bad aftertaste . Most likely will be canceling membership altogether. I’m

Dear Drybar Team,
I’m writing to express my disappointment regarding a recent experience at your Pasadena location. I had a scheduled appointment, but upon arrival, I was informed that it had been canceled. This was especially upsetting as I had rearranged my schedule and made significant efforts to attend.
Unfortunately, this is not the first time I’ve encountered such an issue. It’s frustrating to feel that there’s a lack of communication and accountability in these situations, which reflects poorly on the level of service. It’s not just the inconvenience—it’s the sense that my time and loyalty as a customer are not being valued.
I also want to highlight an imbalance in how cancellations and delays are handled. If I cancel, I am charged a $25 fee, and if I am late, my appointment is canceled. Yet when your team cancels or is running late, I am expected to accommodate delays of 30 minutes to an hour without consideration for my schedule.
I truly hope this feedback encourages your team to make improvements to the scheduling and communication process. I’ve always appreciated your services, but consistency and respect for clients’ time are just as important as the quality of your work.
Very careless towards the customer.

I went here to get my hair done for my engagement because my blowdryer broke. Receptionist was rude for no reason. My hair was slightly damp because I had washed it and the hairstylist got an attitude and said I'd have to pay double the price because she had to blow dry it (at a blow-dry bar? lol) so I said no thanks and left. By the time I got home 10 min later my hair was dry enough to flat iron. I wasn't going to leave a review but I noticed they charged me a $25 cancellation fee and that feels wrong to me. They didn't mention anything about it when I was leaving. Weird vibes and greedy business.

I read the reviews before booking and I should have avoided the place. I asked for a scalp massage but they failed to provide one. The wash lasted no more than 2 minutes. I was in and out of there in 30mins with an extremely simple style that feels like it’s already going flat (10mins after walking out). I will not be returning to this establishment.

1. it is nearly impossible to get someone on the phone or EVEN a phone call returned when they specifically say, 'we'll return your call'.
--I left two messages at 8:55am indicating that I'd be 10 min late for my 900am appt. I arrived at exactly 9:12. The person at the front desk made zero eye contact, said she hadn't checked the messages yet, + that there would be no time to wash + dry my hair only 'dry style" + the one braid I had asked for.
2. although I was told I was late + therefore wouldn't get a wash/dry, the person who was going to style my hair was still with someone else for another 10 min as I sat there.
3. They sat me at a station without a mirror so I couldn't see what the braid looked like until it was done.
4. they charged me for a 'style' and 'braid' but didn't even use an straightening iron or anything to defrizz my naturally curly hair before putting it into a Dutch braid for my son's bar mitzvah so it was messy looking even before the event started, let alone 3 hrs in.
5. I brought a spray color powder for my gray roots as I'm in between color appts. i started to spray a little of it on the roots and the exceptionally rude stylist insisted that she could do it (again no mirror for me to see what she was doing). so she proceeds to spray it all over my head like hairspray, covering all of my highlights, and leaving my hair looking like a artificial brown helmet with no shine, no dimension, and def no highlights.
she proceeds to use a wet towel to wipe it off, which does work but it also makes all of my hair really curly.
Although there was zero 'styling' as in no ironing, no blow drying--I'm charged $35 for 'styling' and an additional $15 for the brain. So I paid $50 to have one of the rudest hair stylist I've ever met in my 50 yrs to run a brush through my dry, curly hair once, then braid it, stick a few pins in it then cover all of it with a brown powder meant for the roots, then proceed to try to wipe it off with a wet towel, making all of the hair not braided curl up.
The worst part wasn't even how bad my hair looked on one of the most important days of my life....it was the attitude of the two people I encountered who worked there who must truly hate their jobs bc they care zero about your experience + are invested zero % in the Drybar. The receptionist is literally surfing the web 90% of the time, doesn't answer the phone or return calls but also makes you feel like you're disturbing her by even stepping into the salon. Worst customer service.
The person who did my hair said she was 'part of the management team' which is very telling. She also cared exactly zero about the customer experience but was also just rude.
Drybar used to be one of my favorite places to treat myself--not anymore. it has definitely changed, for the worse. how the employees treat customers is fundamentally a reflection of how they are treated by the company so I can only assume that the Drybar brand is no longer living up to its name since it was purchased by Helen of Troy ( of Hot Tools) acquired it in 2019.

I’m giving two stars because the staff are so nice and pleasant. But, the blow outs are not good. I went a couple of years ago asking for the Hollywood style. The stylist used a flat iron that she pressed so tightly together that hairs were being yanked out as she went down each section. I said something to her, that I could hear them breaking and she said she couldn’t hear it and it was fine.
The style was not at all the glam waves from the look book. I ended up redoing my hair when I got home before going to a wedding.
My second style was a few years later, for another wedding. The stylist was so fun to talk with but my hair fell flat. I wanted the southern hairdo that is supposed to be big. He didn’t use product and my hair was just sad on my head. Again, I had to fix it at home.
I really want to have a great blow dry place but this isn’t it.
