Too expensive for no good reason. 6 small pieces of salmon for $30??!! I will not be going back there any time soon.. Unless they provide something like a 70% discount. Not worth it.

Love this location! It's super clean, ample parking and great area to walk around outside.Free samples, however some things are empty at night in terms of stocked items. Can't ever NOT get a smoothie

My husband, mom and I have enjoyed Erewhon for some time now and have been so excited about the Pasadena location opening up near us!We went by this afternoon and were able to pick up fresh groceries and a lovely smoothie (the smoothie bar staff are incredibly detail-oriented, attentive, friendly and enthusiastic - and service is fast even with the volume of demand!).My only gripe was with the checker when we checked out with our groceries- she was incredibly rude, cold, wouldn't make eye contact and seemed like she wanted to nothing to do with us. It was unnecessarily hurtful and disrespectful - I was very disappointed by this because as I understand it, Erewhon prides themselves on customer service and I've always had great experiences at other locations (and for the premium we're paying, basic kindness is not too much to ask). :/Update: Upon returning (with high hopes), we have only continued to receive/experience poor service. :( This location really needs to step up their game by either a) implementing a more rigorous hiring process/hiring kinder people to begin with and b) training their staff. I went in this past Friday and wanted to order a salad. Several staff members were just standing behind the counter and did not acknowledge me or bother to take my order for several minutes. When I finally got someone's attention, they were so flippant. :( I really hope a manager is reading these reviews and that things will change in the coming months because we were initially so happy and excited to have an Erewhon open near us and would like to continue to shop and eat here without worrying about how we're going to be treated each time.

Food is bland because it’s healthier. Price is expensive because the surrounding area of people can afford $17 smoothies.Reminds me of a mini version of Bon Marche in Paris. Hopefully it can do well in the area because Pasadena has been missing a high end supermarket for quite some time.

This is a nice upscale organic market with a friendly staff and top notch quality! Prices are on the medium to high side but be sure to take advantage of any promotions that they offer both in-store and in-app. Also easy ordering ahead for pickup to avoid the lines! The Strawberry Skin Smoothie by Hailey Bieber is an Erewhon right of passage and is very delicious to sip while shopping! Parking is inside the Macy's garage on Lake.

Wow! Didn’t think anything could beat Whole Foods but this store sure does!It is super expensive, very colorful, lots of unique items (like seaweed tea herb thingy), and lots of selection. It is very clean inside and there are so many nice seating areas outside! It’s very inviting. There is even a heated seating area. My goodness it’s bougie!Their food court looks delicious, I will come back and try it.

high-quality organic products and a focus on health and wellness. appreciate their wide selection of organic foods, fresh produce, and unique health products. The stores are generally known for their clean and welcoming atmosphere, though prices can be on the higher side. They provide sustainable and eco-friendly practices

It was my first trip to Erewhon and I was definitely impressed with how clean and organized the store was. The hot foods were amazing too.

Came here to check out what the hype is. Very pricey market that is popular with the hipster crowd. Guess who paid $19 for a Miranda Kerr smoothie, well we did! The smoothie did taste good but definitely not worth twice the price of a smoothie from other places. Lots of other people ordering from the tonic bar as well. They have a large Deli selection. Valet parking is available if you need it otherwise parking in the structure. Just come here once for the experience and never again.

I saw that Erewhon recently opened at Pasadena and decided to stop by to see the store because I've been to other locations and I used to get their pressed juices all the time. The day I went there wasn't a lot of people and I realized the overall store is quite small inside. I went to the smoothie/food area because I was curious what it looked like and immediately there was a worker who looked at me and said "are you ready to order???!" and I said "ohh I'm just looking", unsure if a smoothie was what I wanted to get and was simply enticed by their menu selection. Seconds later, the worker asked again but in a passive aggressive tone, "are you going to order, hurry up so I can put it in??". I was shocked and I looked around and realized there was no one around me so I didn't understand what was their hurry for. Immediately hearing that and seeing their upset facial expression turned me off and I didn't want anything anymore. I browsed the store and noticed it was fully stocked and very organized. Because of this experience and seeing the workers eyeing my down... I don't think I will be coming back.

This place is NOT CHEAP. I wouldn't recommend coming here for groceries, but that's only if you're in a certain tax bracket that allows you too. Erewhon is Whole Foods but on crack so you're better off finding specialty health items or blow 30$ on a smoothie. I frequent the Silverlake location the most since it's the closest one from my work, but it's very fitting to see one in Pasadena. Parking isn't as crappy compared to the other stores. Here, you can park yourself since it shares a garage with other shops on Lake if you don't want to do Valet. Store is spacious and the aisles are cramped as Silverlake's or The Grove stores. I do like that they have ice cream brands from smaller businesses and a wide array of canned drinks. Sushi selection is not bad and service is fine. If you win the lotto you can shop here.

The market was fancy gourmet specialty item grocery store in Pasadena. I believe they have various locations through out and continues to expand.Very well organized, bright clean and unique experienceThey had gourmet coffee station, brunch cafeteria style food stations, sushi, beautiful flowers and anything and everything in between unique & specialties items. Most of the items were moderately priced. Staff were nice. Had a good time shopping. Very fun and pleasing to the eye experiences. Would like to come back for more items to shop.Reason for 3 stars was bathroom. Although the bathroom was designed beautifully & unique, the bathroom was not clean. Toilet had dry markings that seemed it was there for while.

Great store layout. However their food court and cafe were a little smaller than what I'm used to. The only complaint I have is the way one of their asian employees looked at me. I know i didn't come dressed up, however there is no need to look me up and down and make ugly faces at me. I paid for my purchases. I get better customer service at the Beverly hills location. From now on I will make the 1hr drive out to the westside. Same prices better service it's worth the drive.

Gorgeous and Trendy, Overpriced and Underwhelming.I visited one week after its grand opening. I admit that the place is gorgeous and Instagram ready. However, as far as artisan creations… A huge mess. I purchased a $10 slice of carrot cake. You would think that this would be a simple, but delicious concoction. Now… it wasn’t a carrot cake. It was a cardamom-laden cake. They tries to make it too fancy, too innovative, and completely missed the simplicity of the carrot cake. So I can’t imagine what the other food offerings are like. No, thank you.
