Alejandro and his crew did such a wonderful job. On time, on budget, and beautiful work. He really is an artist with stone work.Job: I wanted a raised flower bed in my front yard made from a river rock wall. Also wanted river rock on the edges of my garden due to the yard being on a slope and the soil eroding out onto the sidewalk and street.Cost: Of the three estimates I got for the work, Alejandro's was right in the middle.Estimate/design appointment: Alejandro immediately understood the aesthetics of what I wanted. He didn't try to talk me into something more modern looking, which is what the other companies did during their estimates. He took into account the type of house (1920's bungalow) and character of the neighborhood when discussing design. Additionally, I initially wanted a wall at the end of my yard to hold in the soil, but Alejandro told me he could do it with just large stones that match the river rock planter, and it would way less expensive and more subtle. I loved his idea and that's what we did.Work: He and his crew did it in four days. They were on time, friendly, and professional.Conclusion: I'm already planning on hiring Alejandro again to do some work in the backyard. Worth every penny.

We contacted Alejandro based on recommendations and love the result in our backyard. He listened to our needs/goals, provided great ideas and solution, and a clear estimate. He and his team removed concrete in the backyard to add a wall of shrubs, poured a new concrete patio, installed a drip irrigation system and a pergola, and redid the landscaping. He is skilled, creative, and knowledgeable, and it's been really easy to work with him. We are looking forward to the summer.

Alexandro and his team are fantastic. First of all, he's a great combination of creative and project manager. He has an extensive knowledge of plants and his prices are reasonable. He offered us great landscaping ideas for our backyard. I love the work they did. I appreciated that they were always on time and his team were pleasant as well. I'm looking forward to working with him again.

This is a truly great, honest company with an owner who loves what he does. I hired Alejandro many years ago when we first landscaped our backyard. Back then, he was just building his business and he did most of the work alone. It required a lot of physical labor and time. He fully committed to the project and it was inspiring to see his level of expertise and how much he enjoyed working with nature. He also worked hard to track down plants for our particular landscape plans that involved going to faraway nurseries. We were so pleased with the results that when he offered to maintain our yard service, we immediately took him up on it. Although the company has grown quite a bit, Alejandro's professionalism and investment in his work has never wavered. He regularly checks in, remembers details about various plants and yearly procedures, and remains attentive when we have new requests. He and his crew also cut our trees (huge oaks that Alejandro alone climbs all the way up to trim!) and the process is always neat and carefully done. We can't recommend this company enough to others. Fifth Element will always be our go-to for any landscaping work.

Five stars for Alejandro and his crew! He did a ton of work on our yard, from re-pouring a concrete sidewalk to re-planting an unused section with a new mix of plants. He was as knowledgeable about what plants attract butterflies as he was about how to fix a drainage issue on the patio. Alejandro was dependable and communicated exactly when he was available. And he came back when the work was done to check on the plants, adjust the water, etc, which shows he really cares about the work.
