A one of a kind modern day curio shop and my favorite stop in Pasadena. From wax seals to taxidermy there is an endless supply of unusual bespoke objects. The owners of the Gold Bug are as curious and delightful as the object they sell and always make for splendid conversation. Keep an eye open for special events hosted in the store!

Very unique and interesting objects, but the male owner was very unpleasant and rude. I love supporting small businesses and had visited with the intent to purchase. However due to his incredible rudeness, I refuse to shop here and will spread the word for others to avoid it as well. Would not recommend visiting unless you want your shopping day ruined by his unpleasantness.

One of the best most curated stores I’ve ever been to and the owner is so passionate and knowledgeable and even gift wrapped our present for our friend with the prettiest paper and most thoughtful details. Wow. 🤩

Theodora went above and beyond for me!!
I purchased an item from this store a few years ago and I accidentally broke it recently!
Upon searching the web, the item was sold out everywhere. I directly reached out the store in case, by chance, they had one left somewhere that wasn’t listed online. THEY DID! Theodora worked with me to have the item shipped as we live out of state. I am so thrilled that I am able to replace this item and I am so grateful to the store for working with me from a far, to make it happen. THANK YOU!

I've been dying to go here for so long and finally did last week. I'm still thinking of pieces I passed on and if I should go back. I bought some cute earrings to tie me over until then lol If you're in the area, go check it out! Pieces are more on the high end but there are affordable pieces too. Worker there was so kind and professional and easy-going. She even wrapped a gift to my nieces so beautifully without me asking or charging. She's a gem!

This is such a fun store. Range of prices varies, so there's something for everyone. They have very cool jewelry and art, oddities and beyond. The staff is always friendly and helpful!

Super cool, gorgeous things collected from around the world. The place is mostly pricey but anything you get is worth the investment. If you don’t have the funds, consider it a museum and give it a whirl.

One of the most amazing stores ever!!! The owners have exquisite, quirky and original taste. Just the coolest store with so many fabulous show stopping items.
Here I always find the best presents. And even if I am not looking for presents it’s so much fun just to look around.
