They just play with life of people.
Please don’t go through this lender, they just think about money no humanity and they put me in very hard time while purchasing a house.

I have never dealt with a more dysfunctional or non-communicative team in 11 years in real estate. Working with PennyMac was an incredibly frustrating experience from start to finish. The loan file was transferred between multiple lenders, none of whom seemed to be on the same page. Communication was inconsistent at best—and often nonexistent—which led to unnecessary confusion, stress, and a delayed closing. Even the title company had difficulty getting timely responses, which only compounded the issues. I would not recommend PennyMac to any buyers or agents looking for a smooth, professional transaction. I would encourage all buyers and their agents to use a local lender to best serve their buying needs.

Make sure you look into these companies that take over loans. Wish i would have, but first home and learning experience, but seems like they are out to get YOU

Worst customer service from a loan servicing company in the world, period. Once they get your business, you are an after thought. The customer service line is plain terrible.

I lost my job a few months ago. Unfortunately, I was out of work for about a month. Along with that a few major set back with my home happened. I’ve never missed or been late on a payment till this. I called customer service since they say they offer different options in the event of an unforeseen financial situation. I told them I lost my job and I would like to defer one month, that was it. I was told that they don’t deferred payments even thought a letter I got from says it’s an option, it was not. I was told that they can split the payment into three payments for the following months. I told them that I could make a payment but not the full amount. They took the payment and split the remaining balance for the next three months. they did tell me that they will still report it to the credit companies as a late payment. So much for help or assistance. They destroyed my credit score. It will take years to get it back up. So please don’t believe that they will help and understand. They will quickly report the month you miss and attempt to foreclose. I was a big fan till this happened. Very disappointed. Please do not ask them for help because that’s not what they do. If you don’t make your payments regardless of your situation they will put you and your family in the streets.

I was in a loan forbearance 3 months with this company. My original mortgage was sold to them. They are scammers. I was unemployed for 2 months and faces a hardship so they said they would put my mortgage in forbearance and my credit was not at risk. I just came out of the forbearance two weeks ago and they went back the full 90 days and related my credit as DELINQUENT all 3 months I was in forebearance. This cannot be legal!
So I am calling BBB, disputing it with all bureaus and calling for someone at the top of their credit reporting company to rectify this asap. When your credit is flawless for the past 16 years and this happens it’s not a reflection of me as a consumer but a poor reflective of PennyMac as a lender. How can you promise not to jeopardize someone’s while in a hardship and then say oh you’re out of the hardship, now I’ll retroactivate all that negative history. That’s not helping, that’s harming!! And that’s falsification!
I have had 3 other mortgages prior to this company and never had an issue like this. I also have federal student loans which have been in forbearance many times due to a layoff and then due to pandemic and that have not once put any negative or derogatory marks on my credit. I went from a 742 overnight to a 554 as a result of them reporting this falsely. I was told by Pennymac that my credit would not be impacted me negatively. The worst part is this was not my lender when I purchased this home last year, it was sold to Pennymac. Buyer BEWARE if you’re selecting them as your creditor. This is fraudulent!

Posted my thoughts about this heinous company. Then they started harassing me with phone calls. Never missed a payment and paid my debt in full but I could rarely get ahold of them when I had an account. All I ever got was the voice robot. Now they want to talk to me? No. I'm done with you people.

So far the worst experience as for a refinance goes. Started the refi back in October 2020 and still have not signed closing documents. Loan officer says 2.5% is the lowest I can get. When I put my information on the PennyMac website price of home, how much I currently owe on the loan and my credit score which I put in the good category which is lower then what my actual credit is and that I’m looking for a VA loan. The site offers a 2.289% offer. Secondly I have been notified by different notaries to schedule a time for signing closing documents each time that appointment was canceled because they never received documents on several occasions...the one time I didn’t sign was because the numbers did not match on the loan so I did not sign and it ends up it was a failure on my mymac team to notify me of the changes. If I could give 0 or even a .5 a star review I would. I bought my first home as a short sale and closed faster then this refi. Also the one excuse I get is Covid which is not a valid reason anymore. I hope people read this and notice all these offers are click bate and never trust these big name mortgage companies. I’m jumping ship first chance I get from them as my mortgage company. (Might even be in a week or so).

I am truly disappointed on how this company treats their customers I was lied to over and over. I was given offers that were totally false. First with the money back issue per fha guidelines mentioned by Mr Eddie Machuca later to find out it was not an fha rule to have a maximum of 350 at closing but a sales tactic to confuse the customer. Going through the whole process of over 60 days setting a closing day and then your company finding an issue on my title after I complained. I was given another offer by your manager Machuca and the loan officer Brianna witch is now out of the picture due to fha guide lines witch I have saved on voicemail. I was treated like a total trash instead of a customer. I have all the emails on the failed promises.

I didn’t give PennyMac permission to call me about additional services yet they call in the early morning multiple times and leave messages to try to sell me another loan. After calling to complain, they finally added me to their do-not-call list.
