So far the worst experience as for a refinance goes. Started the refi back in October 2020 and still have not signed closing documents. Loan officer says 2.5% is the lowest I can get. When I put my information on the PennyMac website price of home, how much I currently owe on the loan and my credit score which I put in the good category which is lower then what my actual credit is and that I’m looking for a VA loan. The site offers a 2.289% offer. Secondly I have been notified by different notaries to schedule a time for signing closing documents each time that appointment was canceled because they never received documents on several occasions...the one time I didn’t sign was because the numbers did not match on the loan so I did not sign and it ends up it was a failure on my mymac team to notify me of the changes. If I could give 0 or even a .5 a star review I would. I bought my first home as a short sale and closed faster then this refi. Also the one excuse I get is Covid which is not a valid reason anymore. I hope people read this and notice all these offers are click bate and never trust these big name mortgage companies. I’m jumping ship first chance I get from them as my mortgage company. (Might even be in a week or so).

I am truly disappointed on how this company treats their customers I was lied to over and over. I was given offers that were totally false. First with the money back issue per fha guidelines mentioned by Mr Eddie Machuca later to find out it was not an fha rule to have a maximum of 350 at closing but a sales tactic to confuse the customer. Going through the whole process of over 60 days setting a closing day and then your company finding an issue on my title after I complained. I was given another offer by your manager Machuca and the loan officer Brianna witch is now out of the picture due to fha guide lines witch I have saved on voicemail. I was treated like a total trash instead of a customer. I have all the emails on the failed promises.

I didn’t give PennyMac permission to call me about additional services yet they call in the early morning multiple times and leave messages to try to sell me another loan. After calling to complain, they finally added me to their do-not-call list.

Few months back I asked if I could refinance our mortgage. I was waiting since then and almost lost hope for approval. But recently it was approved and I am so thankful to Andrew Mortenson PennyMac Loan Services and his team, as well as Merill for helping us through out the months even though there's this pandemic going on. Thank you guys for your patients you guys made it happen. God bless!

Wanting to refinance and having being solicited by others to refinance I wanted to stay with PennyMac . The entire process was extremely calming with questions being answered and online forms that are walked thru start to finish . I highly recommend PenyMac to those looking to refinance and their refinance team will proactively get the job done and help every step all the way to closing !!!

PennyMac was pretty good, but all big companies can be confusingly bureaucratic and there were times when I felt I was getting lost. However, the person who helped me close, My'Esha Allen, was the best. Very helpful and responsive. My'Esha made this a pleasant experience.

Process for a VA streamline ReFi was very smooth. Delivered everything as promised. Didn't try to do a bait n switch on rates. Closed a week earlier than expected, which was great. I had my original loan for 5 years before the Refi and never had to call them with an issue. Straightforward business.

I was lost and did not get good communication until Maxwell Mitchell came along. I did not get good information from my loan officer. Emails were not returned, Phone calls were not returned. Finally, i spoke to a supervisor- their rate sheet was down (still waiting on that call to be returned). Max talked me off the cliff and saved the contract. Good work, Max. I wish you nothing but the best!

The entire process was stress free. Emails and phone calls were returned promptly. Linda is amazing!!! We were always updated on the process. True Professionals!! We would definitely recommend them to family and friends.

Overall my refinance with Penny Mac was great. My only complaint is that I received numerous requests for the same documents. Other than that, it was smooth sailing.

I appreciated Kelvey proactively reaching out to me and providing weekly updates. That was helpful to be able to understand where we were in the process and next steps. The only part of the process I found frustrating was that when I needed to return his call, which was often due to my work requirements, I was forced to call a 1-844 number and go through teleprompt options and wait on hold. It would be better customer service to have a direct extension to your loan processing team.

I have a loan with Penny Mac, and I made a double payment by accident because they called and said I had not made a payment. I tried calling the numbers on the front of my mortgage statement and they all go to voicemail and there’s no real person that I can talk with about my problem. This Penny Mac department says it said box 30597, Los Angeles, CA. I wouldn’t deal with anybody that I had a choice to deal with it doesn’t have a real person that can help you solve a problem!
