I had such an amazing experience at PINOK Studio! The space itself is super clean, calming, and relaxing — you instantly feel taken care of when you walk in.
I booked with Kai, and honestly this is the best haircut I’ve ever had. I came in asking for a very specific style that would suit my face shape, and she absolutely nailed it. I’ve never walked out of a salon feeling this confident before. On top of that, she gave me thoughtful tips on how to maintain my hair so it continues to look good after I leave — something I’ve never gotten anywhere else.
I also tried the 40 min head spa, which was beyond relaxing and made the whole experience feel like self-care, not just a haircut. The service, attention to detail, and care that Kai put in really stood out.
If you’re looking for a stylist who listens, delivers exactly what you ask for, and creates a truly welcoming environment, Kai at PINOK Studio in Pasadena is the one. I’ll definitely be coming back!

The staff are all nice and welcoming. Reyka is amazing!! She was attentive and made sure I was comfortable the whole time. This was my second time at Pinok, and I will definitely be coming back!

Genuinely the most pleasant surprise getting the perfect haircut from Adriana!! I went in not really knowing what I want but Adriana worked her magic and gave my flat and super weighed down hair the life and bounciness it needed! So so pleased with the final results and look forward to more cuts with her in the future!

I love PINOK Matsumoto - I’ve been coming here for a few years and wouldn’t go to any other salon at this point! The salon has a very cozy, and relaxing atmosphere. Camila was an amazing stylist and was very thoughtful about getting the lengths and framing bangs that I wanted. I’d also highly recommend the hair spa if you’re on the fence, it’s so relaxing. My hair very dry coming in, but is now all refreshed. 10/10!

Got a haircut from Adriana and she was great. I have long hair and bangs. Got a trim to freshen up my long layers, face framing pieces, and bangs. She was clear in asking what I wanted and making sure I liked the cut. Turned out exactly what I wanted.

I had my hair done by Yuri, and it has been the worst haircut of my life. I tipped fully because she was polite, but I have been so distressed by my butchered hair every time I pass by the mirror. I asked for long side bangs, and I should have known something was seriously amiss when she kept using the thinning shears over and over and over again on my bangs as if to cover up her mistakes.
The layered hair with side bangs turned out as straight up short front bangs across the eyebrows with a staircase of chopped up “side bangs” as a chunk on the side like side burns. The parts of the hair used to make the “side bangs” were hair that should not have been brought as bangs. These were hair that were on the side of the skull on the back, that should not be used as bangs as it will never work as bangs. As if this weren’t bad enough, with so much thinning shears used on the “bangs,” my hair never lies flat, giving my lion head with no chance to rectify it as I cannot even tie it back with it being so short and so thinned out. I am stuck with this crazy ugly lion head for at least a year until I can have this part be pulled back into a pony tail to hide it. I do not recommend Yuri at all and am so incredibly upset by my horrifying experience. A full refund won’t even make up for having to deal with my hair until her mistakes can be covered up.

I did the 60 min Head Spa with Reyka and it was a dream. Highly recommend for hair and scalp health as well as an amazingly relaxing scalp and shoulder/neck massage. I felt like I was floating when she was done. She does a strong powerful pressure which I like but she can also adjust if needed. She checked in with me a few times to make sure I was okay.
