Apparently, there are issues with how Public Storage treats it's longtime customers and the need to reduce people contact at it's #511 Pasadena location. There's only one person working per shifts & this place is making appointments for people to come inside the office just to make a payment. The many bus# provided online have an automated AI system to make payments via phone & states: to make a payment FREE OF CHARGE TODAY but when proceeding to make payments then an extra charge of $10 will be added to your monthly rental storage. Public Storage took over A-American Self-Storage around Y2015. And since I'm an old customer since Y2005 & the fees for a 10x10 increased from &160 to $405. PUBLIC STORAGE IS A PUBLICLY TRADING CORPORATION (with real estate investors)! And unlike other Companies like Storbox, Arroyo Parkway Self Storage for example which isn't charging astronomical fees like PUBLIC STORAGE! Their customer service is way better & because it is a welcoming environment unlike Public Storage who have a poor customer service attitude towards their customers/clients. Also this Company expects every customer to download their App. And not everyone can do this due to full storage capacity & their cellphones & data are being monitored by its automatic download by MCM CLIENT. And this can easily lead to FRAUDULENT ACCESS of personal ATM debit card/Credit card #'s. I read there were technical issues which occurred with ONLINE PAYMENTS by a previous customer who wrote a negative review about his/her experience with PUBLIC STORAGE. ALSO PUBLIC STORAGE DID NOT CALL ME WHEN SOMEONE OR STAFF EITHER MISTAKENLY CUT MY 2 LOCKS UNTIL I CAME IN & CALLED THE POLICE TO REPORT THE INCIDENT. I will consult with an attorney for any LEGAL ramifications due to over charges & breach of contract issues. PLEASE DO NOT RENT FROM PUBLIC STORAGE & BECAUSE THEY ARE NOT CUSTOMER SERVICE ORIENTED & CHARGING ASTRONOMICAL FEES TO INCREASE YOUR MONTHLY RENTAL STORAGE EVERY 6 MONTHS!!! AGAIN, REMEMBER THIS CORPORATION IS PUBLICLY TRADING & WHY THEIR PRICES ARE HIGHER THAN MOST STORAGE SPACE COMPANIES!

For the past month, the carts to move things in this facility have been locked up during business hours. It’s made moving items 10x more difficult.
And no one has been in the office either, you can’t access it. I know I’m not the only one who has been dealing with this. We pay monthly for these services. This is ridiculous.

They lock up rolling carts so if you happen to come in before or after office hours you’re out of luck. You’ll have to haul all your heavy stuff by hand or bring your own dolly or cart. During office hours you’ll have to check out a cart. If you come in during office hours and the attendant is away from the desk you’ll have to wait to get a key for one of the carts. Very inconvenient if you frequently access your unit as I do.
