Parking: They validate parking

This is a great Rubios. Just be aware that it is close to the Pasadena Convention Center. A few of the times that I've visited, it was also lunchtime at the convention center. It was a bit chaotic, but the staff really worked to get everyone handled quickly. They have some really great employees. There is parking for the mall, and Rubio's does validate parking.

Ordered a burrito and the taco trio. Forgot to get salsa but the sauces were enough.

I used the app and it said ready at approx 6:36pm. Arrived at that time and it wasn't ready. No big deal. I waited with my two kids for the to-go order. 45 minutes later it was ready. After 30 minutes and no acknowledgment that the order was taking a while from the cashier, I asked if I had indeed sent my order to the correct location. The cashier confirmed it was the correct location but were waiting on two more items: one more fish taco (I ordered 3 and 2 were done 30 minutes ago) and kid's fries. 15 minutes later my food was ready. Got home and of course it was all cold except for the one fish taco the order was waiting on and NO KIDS FRIES were in the order. So I waited for what reason exactly???? With two young kids with me patiently waiting? The fish taco that was warm was delicious and I have no complaints there. The food is good but it was all just cold from sitting on the "ready" counter for 45 minutes. I love how the app asks you to tip ahead of time. I always do. I tipped 15% but after receiving this poor service I wouldn't have tipped at all. A little goes a long way with me. Just acknowledge that the order is taking a while longer. Ask if I actually want to wait 45 extra minutes for one more fish taco and fries (that never made it in the bag). It wasn't crowded. There didn't seem to be a reason for this delay that was reasonable, but who knows, I'm not working in that kitchen. To be honest the cooks seemed stoned. If I was the store manager I would teach the cashier to say "I'm sorry your order took so long and we appreciate your tip." I would have graciously accepted that statement. But instead....nothing. Just didn't give a damn about my service or my experience or if I was even there. And oh yeah, when I asked for a cup for the large fountain drink I ordered the cashier said "you ordered a large?" after she handed me a regular cup. Just horrible etiquete. I'm a grown man with two kids. I'm not trying to steal a "large" fountain drink instead of a regular size one. Just ridiculous. Kids these days are brutal to deal with. I don't know how companies survive anymore to be honest.

Solid, affordable takeout food. I would recommend a bowl or a burrito to maximize bang-for-your-buck. Would return.

Portioning and prices are worse than chipotle's. Management treats lower level employees like garbage (even in front of customers) very rude managers, and very long wait times.

This is the worst managed Rubios. please get new management. I have been turned away from the restaurant with locked doors 20 and 25 minutes before closing with my family several times. we would have bought a lot of food for good money. Other times we had to wait because everyone was on break and the bussing guy didn't know how to do the register. this is all a sign of bad management and training and employees who don't care. Cancel going to this store!

I was roaming Pasadena for lunch with a dual purpose - exploring Tesla Superchargers and satisfying a fish taco craving - led me to Rubio's, a place I hadn't dined at in quite some time. The ambiance was pleasant, with a busy lunchtime crowd adding to the lively atmosphere. Opting for the Two Original Fish Taco Combo from their lunch specials, the order arrived swiftly. The tacos, though featuring a slightly soggy batter, offered a delightful taste. Accompanied by chips, a side of beans, and a salsa bar for those who like to customize, it made for a quick and reasonably priced lunch. The restaurant's cleanliness and the efficiency of service added to the overall positive experience, making it a decent spot for a satisfying lunch meal in the heart of Pasadena.

First time in this place, the staff is exceptional. Super nice. We had a issue with our gift card that we got for my birthday at the register and the supervisor Isaac resolved it with a smile and friendly matter. Super clean here. Restrooms are on point. Food was delicious. Very nice environment. Shout out to Tyler as well!! Thank you!!!! 10/10

The cashier did not greet me or even make eye contact. While taking my order she had an attitude. Maybe she doesn't understand she is in the customer service business. This was on 12/23/2023 at 320pm. Whomever this 5'1" young woman of latin descent with dark hair was should be retrained or terminated because she doesn't understand the meaning of customer service. Also the food had clearly been sitting out too long because the chips were hard and stale.
