Huge fan of this small studio, the energy the teachers bring is exactly what one needs at 7 in the morning and it's such a lovely way to start the day. The workouts are challenging but not overwhelming and they each take the amount of time that one feels sufficiently worked-out without over-extending. Really love this place :)

Great workout on a Sunday morning! Good balance of floor/abs and cardio/strength exercises. This was a partner workout and I had an encouraging buddy who helped me get through the workout, which ended up a lot more challenging than it originally appeared. You are able and encouraged to push or modify as you see fit. Ample free street parking around the parking, at least for the morning hours that I was there (Pasadena). I've actually been to both locations now and like the vibe, workout, and staff in both places quite a lot.

Just did my first class at Sanctuary Fitness, and I'm in LOVE! The instructor is attentive and knowledgeable, the community is welcoming, and I couldn't ask for more from a workout class. I'm recommending everyone to come.

I like this place and Angela is an awesome trainer. She pays attention to everyone and will come over if you're struggling or not doing something correctly. I'm pretty active and have been working out consistently for 15+ years doing everything from CrossFit, spin, lagree, pilates etc. The main issue I have is that the workouts aren't hard enough or long enough. The actual workout time is 30 min because they use a lot of time in the beginning with the warm up and going over the workout. I do appreciate a good warm-up but my workout needs to be longer than 30 minutes. Also, there isn't much cardio or direction on how heavy your weights should be for specific exercises- so I'm not sure if I should go light with a lot of reps or heavy with a few reps. Either way sometimes it feels like the intervals are too short as well. I came out of an arm workout the other day having barely broken a sweat. I do appreciate that they don't make us do burpees, which I absolutely hate but I wish they utilized the rowers more to add in some fully body cardio. I like the workout format (don't find it boring), studio set up and friendly staff so I'll come every now and then but there's no way it can suffice as my main gym.

Sanctuary Fitness Pasadena is one of the few HIIT workout gyms around. Because I took a break at another gym, I decided to try this one out because a running buddy had twisted my arm to go. The workouts are intense. It's divided into 4 stations with 2 substations where you rotate between A and B. It's kinda confusing at first, but the instructors do a good job of demonstrating the workouts. If you do it right, your muscles will be sore the next day. I feel that Sanctuary Fitness gave me a better workout than the other gym. If your muscles aren't as sore the next day or two, you aren't doing any work.I thought the gym was pretty small than what I've been used to. Equipment wiping after each station is mandatory. There's also a "unwind" session at the end of the class, but you can probably do your own stretching if you're inclined to do so. Plenty of parking (paid, but cheap) in the garage, or the streets.

Sanctuary Fitness is amazing! I am exploring different gyms & classes in Pasadena recently and immediately become a big fun of sanctuary fitness. ALL instructors are so kind and encouraging. They not only explain different moves in details but also offer alternatives to help you. The environment is also great. Definitely worth your time to check it out.

I took one class here months ago. Their class schedule and the type of workout wasn't for me. I politely told them and declined purchasing a membership. I have received at least three unsolicited texts about joining. And today, received an email confirmation that I bought three free classes, including another text. I don't want to join your gym, so please stop texting and emailing me!

i took a class here through classpass which was Charge HIIT with Sharon. It was a great class and i will be coming back again. 4 different stations, 2 different workouts in each one. It made the class go by so fast which i really like. Sharon was accommodating to me with my wrist issues. went in a friday at 4:30pm and it wasn't too crowded. Right amount of people, about 15-20.
