“My son has been going here since the beginning of the year, and thanks to Ms. Janel and her amazing team, he is thriving. Not only have they helped him get over his separation concerns daily, but they are so attentive to each child's needs, and very communicative and responsive when it comes to progress updates and questions. My wife and I are so happy we decided to send him to Our School, and we can't wait to see the continued growth in all areas, both social and educational!”

“We can't say enough amazing things about IMA. Our daughter recently graduated and we watched her thrive here. The teachers and staff were incredibly communicative throughout the program especially during the pandemic. They challenge the kids while giving them enough space to grow at their own pace. I always felt like the teachers really saw who my daughter was and helped her grow into her own. Highly recommend!”

“We absolutely loved this preschool! It was head and shoulders above the last place we had our 2.5 year old. I love the variety of meals, the different themes every month that the whole school focuses on (including camping, where they got to play in tents, learn about bears and even had a bear-like lunch! (Salmon, berries, trail mix)). The teachers and the owner, GJ, are really invested in the kids and actually enjoy interacting with them. Shout out Ms. Emily and Ms. Michelle! My child even said, without prompting "Ms. Emily makes me happy." Their safety with their parking lot and gates are great. They take food allergies and sensitivities very seriously. I'm sad we moved back home because we're all missing Mentor on Lake!”

“We've been with Discovery Days since they first opened in Bellevue. Now, 3 kids and 7 years in, I can't express enough how grateful I am for this school. All of my kids attended since they were infants with one as early as 12 weeks old! You can rest assured your baby is in good hands. Each time we move up a class, it's a bitter sweet moment for all of us as the connections the children have made with the teachers go beyond being taken care of.Every teacher we've had was not only highly skilled but also genuinely invested in the well-being and development of my kids. Their love for what they do truly shows in the effort and support they put into each child. Their unwavering love and patience through difficult phases is commendable and heartwarming. I love that the school has great communication, keeping us updated on daily activities with pictures and comments throughout the day. The staff is always available to address any concerns or queries promptly, and they regularly keep parents informed about the curriculum and upcoming events. I wholeheartedly recommend Discovery Days Preschool to any parent seeking an exceptional early learning experience for their child. It's a place where laughter, love, and learning intertwine, providing a solid foundation for life beyond the campus gates. The owners have created a preschool that truly goes above and beyond to foster an environment where children thrive, learn, and blossom into confident individuals. Thank you, Discovery Days Preschool, for making our children's preschool years truly magical!”

“First off: I don't recommend many places. But, in short: we absolutely love this place, and tell anyone even remotely within driving distance to send their kid here! From the first day, the staff worked very hard to successfully integrate our - at the time - very shy child. Over night, she went from hating going to her previous preschool to absolutely loving going every morning. Every day since has been a torrent of excitement and learning, and the efforts of the staff really help our child open up and become a lot more confident (now she won't stop talking, though, so maybe we should ask for our money back?) In other words, we couldn't be happier to send our kid anywhere, honestly.Mses Suthi, Reina and Anna were all absolutely fantastic teachers, and always forthcoming, easy to work with and very atuned to the developmental needs of our child. The same goes for the director, Ms Christine, who we always enjoyed interacting with. Oh, and they're all extremely nice and reasonable people, which matters a lot in the day-to-day!We've relocated away from the area and will very much miss the whole group - thank you all for a great couple of years for our kid!”

“I just started my daughter in this school and she absolutely loves it. They require the child to be potty trained and my daughter wasn't at the time, so we practiced for 3 weeks and she was potty trained when she started She tells me how much fun she's had dancing and coloring and playing with other children. The drop off and pick up process is really simple and effective. They have an awesome playground that she loves to run around on! Even during pick up time. I'm really happy with the school and the staff!”

“We have wonderful experiences in Kidsklub and have been recommending them to friends and families! I love their flexible hours for preschool. I work mostly at the PM so my son attended PM preschool. Now he's in kindergarten but still coming for the weekend program! My son missed kidsklub preschool so much when he went to TK after school!”

“My son has attended here for approaching three years, and we expect to send our younger son when he is old enough! Ńotḩing in life is perfect, but these guys are good enough to get my 5 stars. The new preschool director Chana started here around the same time we did, so I don't know much about prior to her tenure. She's knowledgeable, kind, and all around great!”

“Covid has been difficult to all and especially to Armenian private schools without the support of state funding like public schools. Hovsepian school adjusted very well to the unexpected changes and modified the curriculum to make sure all types of learners are accommodated. In addition they allowed their assistants to provide individualized support to those who are struggling.Aside from all the hardship, Hovsepian school made sure that the social/emotional needs of the students , parents and teachers are met by providing regular counseling classes to the curriculum.I highly recommend Hovsepian school as it instills the Armenian culture, religion and prepares students to be the best version of themselves socially and academically before entering high school. The parent and staff community is very warm and welcoming. Thank you Hovsepian School!”

“I happily will be the first to review here. After two terrible prior experiences, we finally found a wonderful Preschool- CEC CALTECH!.Our gal has been here five months and is flourishing. She is high energy and is really benefitting from the outdoor classroom. The back yard is incredible! It is huge and has a sandpit, basketball court, bike area, music area, garden, reading area, and eating area. There are also two houses for the two classes to use and for nap time. I feel that there is a consistent philosophy of child development here that encourages exploration and independence. Love the place, and really recommend it to those of you who have kids that need lots of physical activity.”

“This school is a blessing for the community. Galatians 5:22-23, Fruits of spirit are made up of the following nine qualities or gifts: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control.I see them all in the teachers and staffs here.”

“Hands down the best school in PUSD. Chinese immersion is the future. That doesn't make it any less American. Most of the students come in as non Chinese speakers and a very large group of the students aren't even ethnically Chinese. Had a few principle changes in the last few years and during COVID, this school did so well. There are always problems with all schools but now Ms. Tucker is a principle that listens to all parents. They FINALLY celebrate Asian American Heritage month. If you want your student to succeed in PUSD (which really isn't a great school district), this is the best school to go to.”

“I cannot imagine a better place for my kiddo's first years! Incredible teachers, STEM-curriculum for the 0-5 crowd, a brilliant director. As only a small number of spots are open to community members, you should definitely have a backup plan if you are not Caltech-affiliated.”

“My family has been part of the Cottage Co-op community since 2013. All three of my children have attended. Our entire family is positively impacted by this community. I am a better parent and my children can self-advocate with empathy because of our time at this school. You would never know from the lovely historic facade that a preschool is nestled within. Cottage Co-op has been at Arlington Drive since 1985 and is lovingly maintained. When my children are at Cottage, I know they are in an engaging environment with teachers who respect their innate personhood. You only get one childhood, I'm so very proud that I gave my kids the gift of Cottage.”

“My son has been here for 1 month now, and he loves his teachers. They are all so kind, and I know they take good care of the kids here. It's hard work taking care of little ones so I really commend them for the love and care they provide. We feel very fortunate to have a safe place for our son to play and learn for the day.”

“the best. That's what this school is. I speak what I truly feel about the school. Before I entered NHS, I was very shy and weak in character. In my previous school, I had been constantly bullied and my self esteem was low. But when I came here, everything changed. The staff welcomed me with open arms and minds, and the students were very respectful and kind to me. The school encouraged me to work hard because the teachers loved education and were flexible with me. There is so much you can do here, which only shows what your true potential is. The school taught me responsibility to tending my homework as well. My math teacher implanted the love of math in me at a young age, and I am ahead in class. The administration insures an environment where a person can fly. Thank you, New Horizon, and thanks to its tolerant and just staff. And thank you to the kind students who attend it. You have made a community that has helped me grow and will stay with me for all my life. Thank you.”

“One of Pasadena's best kept secrets is the high quality, affordable fitness classes offered by the city Parks and Recreation department. These are available at several convenient locations around the city including Villa Parke, Robinson Park, and Victory Park. You can read about the classes currently being offered here: pasadena.civicrec.com/CA…At the same page, you can also buy a membership to the Villa Parke gym for $65 per 6 months (Pasadena residents age 19-49) and only $25 for ages 15-17 or 50+. Prices are higher (but still a steal) for non-residents ($50/$130 for six months). Rates are the same for the Robinson Park gym membership. The fitness class coaches are knowledgeable and encouraging for all kinds of athletes. I'm currently taking the 210 Elite fitness class, which is really fun and challenging. The class meets for one hour, twice a week for 8 weeks (only $90). In that class, we warm up then rotate through 10 stations four times. I like that the stations are different each week, so it to gives us a variety of challenges. Instruction is primarily in English, but Coach Erik is always happy to give additional tips in Spanish if preferred. Most exercises can be adapted to make them easier as you're building strength, just watch out for Coach Emiliano who loves to come around and sneakily encourage you on how to make the exercises harder :-).”

“Love the school and staff. Everyone is so welcoming and caring from the front office staff to the teachers and specialists in each classroom. They are respectful of each childs' needs and wants. I started the program when my baby was 4 months old in Ms. Lorraine's classroom. Her love and passion is evident. From the initial intake to the final intake of the day. It is evident children are being well taken care of. Updates and images are sent throughout the day. My baby is now in the older twos classroom. I have always felt at peace knowing my baby is in good, caring hands and of of course the well knowledge staff.”

“Sunrise Preschool is such a special place. The teachers and administrators are warm, loving, and so caring. Everyone says hi to one another and helps set up a welcoming environment for all the kids. My daughter started going about 3.5 months ago and has learned so many new skills and concepts, knows her teachers and classmates' names, and thrived immensely. Her teachers, Ms. Geselle and Ms. Mona, are wonderful. They give me feedback on she does each day and when she's mischievous, let's us know and shares how they have redirected her from this. It's a huge piece of mind knowing my daughter is in good hands at Sunrise and I would recommend this experience for other families.”

“Had an amazing experience here i miss it, i was there for t-k throughout 5th grade. I enjoyed all of my teachers you could see that they cared a lot about us students if i were to ever have an upset day my teachers would take me outside and talk to me it made me feel loved and that I could trust them... I had a connection with all my teachers they all had patients for everyone! We would do weekly assemblies and performances, we also had a green team run by on of the teachers (Mrs. Grabis) she was amazing i was a student of hers for a while i not only learned how to be green but to learn to interact with my classmates!! The janitors were the best hands down every 5th grader that i knew was friends with at least one janitor, we always thanked them and showed that we appreciated everything that they did for us we would give them fist bumps and even hugs before holidays. the staff that are out on the playground are cool my friends and I became friends with all of them we always talked and had good laughs, we really got to know the staff and it was amazing to talk to everyone. Still can't get over this school i had a blast!”
