I can't say enough good things about Studio 55 and especially about Curtis! He is genuinely the nicest salon owner I've ever met. From the moment you walk in, you feel welcomed and valued. I give this place a 10/10 because Curtis and his team truly go above and beyond. He's incredibly honest, has a staff of wonderful and skilled workers, and what stands out most is that he actually cares about the health and style of your hair. It’s clear that making you feel like a priority is his mission. I hope more people recognize the good work and effort he puts in. If you’re looking for a salon that feels like a family, look no further!

Curtis is one of the best hairdressers in Pasadena. He is reasonably priced and listens to what you ask him to do. He will offer his advice if he is asked. He has fit me in his schedule many times over the years and even came to my place during the lockdown to cut my hair! I can't say enough good things about Curtis! Give him a try. I have been going to him for years now!

It's been a few years, but I ran into my notes from Curtis to bring to my new stylist when I moved back to FL and remembered him. Glad to see he's still going strong! Curtis did a great job on my short hair with covering some gray and adding highlights. He explained the why of everything when I looked at magazine photos that ultimately wouldn't work for my hair type. He was the kindest person when I was at a low point of having painful ankle surgery and being new and looking for a job in Pasadena/LA. His prices were reasonable and let me look good during such a challenging time. I will never forget his kindness and chance to look good without going into debt during such a challenging time in my life. I wish him only the best things!

Curtis is a wonderful colorist. He takes his time with clients and always asks them for their input before styling. My haircut always gets compliments.

Highlights were brassy/ orange .shampoo left in my hair..I have some grey..not covered..I said it's brassy..well use some purple shampoo..Really?..I went back to get it fixed .MAJOR Attitude!!!...and I know what to do because I am a Hairstylist MYSELF!!!..I would always make sure my clients were happy..The worse service EVER!!

Curtis is incredible! He has done my hair for eight years. He is Salon 55, a treasure nestled in another salon at 10 S Mentor Ave, Pasadena, CA.I have incredibly long, black hair (way below my waist). Not easy to do, but Curtis does a great job. He colors it, trims it and conditions it until it ends up shiny and as soft as baby hair—and he does all this at a very fair, more than fair price. I could not do it anywhere else for the same price and be as happy. I’m moving to Northern California and excited about my going, except for leaving my great hairdresser behind. I will be hard pressed to find anyone as grand as Curtis.

Curtis is a gem of a hairstylist and human being. I have been going to him for years. In the past, he has cut, colored, and permanently straightened my hair. Most recently, he gave me a Brazilian Blowout - I love it! Curtis is honest and will guide you to healthy hair that looks its best. He makes sure all his clients are well taken care of. So grateful for his skill and talent!

Curtis is the BEST hairdresser ever. I love that he can do classic hairstyles and hair color. He gets it right every time and I never have to worry about a bad haircut. He has years of experience and just knows what hair styles look best. He also used to work on major TV Hollywood sets!

I love Curtis. He's been cutting my hair for years. He always manages to squeeze me in, often with short notice, and does a great job cutting my hair. He's cut, colored, and put up my hair for different occasions and it always comes out looking great. He's super friendly and a true professional.
