super bad meat. tough, filled with fibers, half of it is fat, and tastes expired. not just one experience too, gave it 4 tries and each time the meat was awful. come here if you want to buy packaged stuff that doesn’t expire, nothing else

The meat they sell is not so good. Other than that, they have EVERYTHING, and somewhat reasonable in prices. I think they can do better on their prices .

Don’t shop here!. Been coming here for years and they rip you off. Wrong prices posted, self check out is a mess and joke. They hide the bags… like they are gold. I live up the street but these guys have made too much money off us poor people. Go to Ralphs and save 40%. They lost my $300.00 a month forever. Not cuz inflation either. Ralphs is fresher and cheaper. Vallarta’s is acting like a premium high end store by just jacking up their prices. Not good for lower income families. Move to Beverly Hills you rich want to be’s.

Ok so it's impossible for me to get everything at one place and admittedly I enjoy going to the market between my studies. I love this place! Pretty decent organic produce selection! The ginger is legit. $1.59!! I can buy pears and apples for less than $1 each! The fresh juice bar is always a win, as is the carniceria. When I feel like a cheat the quesa tacos are fire and the meats always tasty and fresh. I love the different counters they have with the ceviche, and tortilla counters. It's way more than you'd expect. Staff is nice and sale prices are great. It's a nice add to my repertoire, lots of variety and I'm grateful they're in the community.

Grocery shopping in Pasadena, California...My friend, Mikey C., posted photos of frankincense and myrrh from Vallarta Supermarket in Oxnard, California. I thought that I could find some at the Pasadena location... No such luck. However, I did find other items...First of all... the name of the store changed. The storefront reads: Vallarta Supermarket. My GPS brought me here to La Cocina Vallarta. Maybe because this Supermarket has a deli section with prepared foods to go?Anyway, the products were amazingly different. It's like I was in a foreign country. The freshly made tortillas, Mexican decorations, spices, earthenware, greeting cards, aprons, party favors, etc. were fascinating! I had to get some horchata mix to try. I also got some Mexican candy and nectarines. I'll have to return again and do more exploring...

This place is fantastic! The prepared foot options are so great, I can't wait to get everything. Where else can you find a tamale bar?!

This Vallarta market is big and clean. with many choices. Produce is fresh Tortillas. And chips are made daily. Great seafood and meat dept. There's also hot prepared food dept. The juice bar and aguas frescas look refreshing.

I knew that Vallarta's bakery goods are bland, dry, and uninspired. I figured that the bakers have no skill or decent recipes. Now they are passing off bad food. The photos show the box of eclairs I bought last night. I served two up the same day, and I gagged. When I lifted the lid to check why they tasted so foul, I saw the green spot which had been hidden under the label.
