Value Rental Car is an unprofessional and disorganized business with terrible customer service. They originally scheduled my car pickup on a day they weren’t even open but made up for it by coming in to hand over the car. However, the experience was anything but smooth. They only accepted Zelle and similar payments, and the lady handling my rental rushed me despite my clear request to be informed in advance when to head over. Instead, she expected me to assume that when she requested my ID and insurance via messages—an unprofessional and insecure process—that was my cue to start heading there.
To make matters worse, she charged me an extra $10 per day because they didn’t have the car I ordered and gave me a different one. But I originally booked an economy car, and the replacement was still in the economy category—plus, every other rental company simply states “or similar” instead of charging extra. She never mentioned this additional charge in the total price when she sent it, leaving me to find out only after I called. On top of that, they tacked on a $15 daily young driver fee that was never disclosed anywhere on the website or on my total fee, even though I clearly put my age range 19-21, from the beginning. Their website also failed to mention that I needed physical insurance in my name. The entire experience was frustrating, misleading, and completely unprofessional. This company is a joke when it comes to reliable service. Avoid them.

This agency has a minimum rental period of 3 days, but if you enter 3 or more days on their website it inexplicably adds an extra day's charge.
Try it yourself: go to their website, click on a car. Set pickup date to Nov 3 9:30am, dropoff to Nov 6 9:30am. This is a period of 72 hours, or 3 days in our normal world. For them, this counts as 4 complete days and they multiply the car's daily rate by 4.
I asked for clarification and they refused to address this parallel-dimension interpetation of time. I ended up reserving a car at another independent agency in town where I received friendly communication and fair, transparent pricing.
I give 2 stars instead of 1, simply because I didn't rent anything here and maybe there's some redeeming aspect to it. But I wouldn't recommend renting from a company whose very first interaction with you is an overcharge based on a sleazy interpretation of how many days you are actually renting the car.

It's a family run business with great people and great prices.

BEWARE! This lady does not give you all of the pricing info over the phone. She tells you it's a $200 deposit to rent car. Doesn't mention you also have to pay the rental price at that time as well. Total waste of time then had the nerve to get mad because I didn't do business with her!! Cars are raggedy anyway!

I didn’t get my rental from them to be honest, it was because I was a little bit to late and it got rented. But with that being said, I had some time to talk with the ladies in the office and let me tell you that they are some of the most beautiful and caring people I’ve met in any business I’ve dealt with In the post Covid era where customer service and just nonexistent or understanding with their customers . But these wonderful people gave me a lot of confidence and hope that there are still wonderful people in business still . Thank you and I will continue to send you my love and support and referral for anyone I can .

Made a reservation over the phone but still didn’t get a car from here. Took me a long time to get there by bus, but turned out they don’t have anything available for me. Should at least call your customers ahead of time.

The worse rental place ever. They charge hidden fees and do not give you the heads up of the 3 day requirement. Cars are lost and cheap. Most of the cars are too old to be rentals
