I would give this 5 stars if it weren't for their employees expressing their "woke-blue-no-matter-who" one-sided Marxist and anti-Israel opinions on display everywhere I turn. I don't go to a book store for the employees propaganda and political opinions. Great bookstore but there is one end cap fully dedicated to anti-Israel propaganda. Unacceptable.

Don't know how anybody leaves here without carrying out a bag load of books!! Sweetened the deal with that little bar and coffee shop attached. If I lived any closer I'd be living here full time!

Hoping with the sale it remains a bookstore ! A big selection of items and other objects of interest for the paper and pen fanatics. We love the bar inside the store. It's a great vibe all around with friendly and helpful staff. I appreciate the staff at pen counter who always seem to have answers to my questions and do an excellent job in encouraging my pen and ink habits

There is no better bookstore. Their buyers are great, as evidenced by the always incredible range of titles on the shelves. There are plenty of book sellers willing to help, but if you're like me, nothing beats just browsing on the way to what you're looking for. I can't understand who people wouldn't want to look through the title before purchasing. It may not be quite as inexpensive as Amazon, but WHO CARES. You can't flip through online, no matter what the techies tell you.

The first time I walked into this cathedral of books was in 1967, I was 12. We had recently moved to Pasadena and my Father took me. I was amazed then, and continue to be amazed by their selection, displays....but most of all by their PEOPLE. This past Friday afternoon I took my nephew to celebrate for his 19th birthday. He had never been to the store and his mouth was like most agape with all the fascinating things in this wonderful emporium. Whilst he was touring, I visited the Pen & Stationary Department and happened upon "Sal". This young man was professional, patient and so very interested in the fountain pens I brought in needing special treatment. He cleaned each one to a "fare-thee-well" and showed me how to fill my lovely big Mont Blanc Meisterstruck that was recently gifted by a dear friend who passed away. My two Cross pens were in need of cleaning and I had no clue. Mr. Sal was so kind to explain every detail of how to do this and even gave me a referral to a Nib specialist who could fix my one pens Nib. This is old world service on a level not often found in todays world of throw away everything. They have many beautiful pens and lots of stationary and even sealing wax to boot. I cannot say enough good things about the staff here. You get so much more than just a bookstore here....go visit. Oh, and a wine bar!

For obvious reasons, very obsessed with this bookstore and there is truly nothing better. Multiple level store, consisting of all books, any genre, but also featuring gifts and knick knacks any book lover would love. Love their decorations for every holiday, too! Not to mention, their intimate coffee shop AND separate bar within the store. One stop shop that I could literally (and do) spend all day in.

I simply adore Vroman's! I visited today and just needed to leave a review. It was so nice looking through physical books and Vroman's stands out from other bookstores because much of the store feels like a gift shop or boutique. After you've found the perfect book, it's so fun browsing teas, home accessories and unique and adorable gifts. I love every visit!

This bookstore is a local institution that has been around for 130 years. I hope it stays around for 130 more years. The staff, the setup, the ambiance makes it a great place to visit. In these days of online mega-stores, it is nice that we have a local bookstore that still has the human touch.

I love coming to Vroman's Bookstore. It is always well kept, clean, and inviting. Great book selections everywhere. It's a place you don't want to leave. I keep going back. They also have a great coffee shop and a great wine bar. Will always come back.

What can I say about this wonderful bookstore in Pasadena that hasn't already been said? It really offers an outstanding selection of books and other merchandise, as well as a very comfortable atmosphere.

Vroman's is a book lovers paradise! I could easily spend hours browsing the isles of endless books. The problem is that could also easily leave with hundreds of dollars worth of books. I was here recently on a first time visit and was so impressed with the wide selection of books, not to mention all of the other cool items they sell. I found the staff and customers to be friendly. You will also find Tepito coffee located inside the bookstore and you have to stop there as well. Sadly, Vroman's is too far for me to visit as often as I'd like, but I certainly will return.

Business itself is WONDERFUL, great place to shop, very large inventory. My only complaint, would be the City of Pasadena's road improvements, both front and back. Difficult to even find their parking lot. And why is street work so necessary in front of a business that must need this time of year - perhaps more than any other.

The cutest bookstore! We parked on the street, but street parking is first come, first served. This bookshop is massive, yet so quaint and homey feeling. It has several floors and so many books!
