Monochrome is a Paso Robles winery focused exclusively on white wines, all of which are blends. It is considered among the best for white wines in the region. The tasting room is located in Tin City and is open Wednesday through Sunday, offering tastings by appointment where five or six unique white wines are typically poured. The experience is often described as comfortable, welcoming, and engaging. The staff is very knowledgeable, personable, and easy to talk to, providing a wonderful and private tasting. They are open to discussing their experience in winemaking and the blending process, which helps put everything in context. While Paso Robles is mainly known for reds, Monochrome stands against the idea that white wines are simple, instead championing complex, interesting, and memorable wines. The wines are consistently great, very different, and unique, with a few being so delicious and surprising that visitors often buy a bottle. The cute shop has plenty of outdoor and indoor seating, making it a highly recommended stop for white wine lovers seeking a unique experience.
I love white wines & this was the perfect experience for me! Elliot was awesome, super fun. I came with just me and a friend & he made it a great experience.

Incredible white wines! Dave (and now Elliott) are some mad scientist chemists with their wine and the results speak for themselves...really cool blends and super tasty year after year. The tasting room can hold perhaps 8 people and reservations required to ensure you can visit. Highly recommend and 10/10 would go back... read full comment

Fantastic tasting experience with Elliot! Brought my mother-in-law who doesn't drink reds, and the white-only offerings did not disappoint. Clean, crisp, fun blends! I ended up joining this small winery's club, plus brought a few bottles home because Oktober is too long to wait!
