I used to count on this Pharmacy to be convenient, efficient and friendly. Their pharmacy staff remained the same for years, were pleasant and were patient and respectful for all their customers. For the past three years however there has been a significant change and turnover in staff. Don't know if this is due to acquisitions, competition or whatever. I have been given the wrong medication twice. (I am unable to take ASA and can only take Tylenol, the pharmacist filled my RX with an ASA compound and admitted when I got home and called him said that it was "an oversight". It happened again the next time. I soon after learned that it is up to the patient to make sure that old medications are discontinued when changed dosage orders are given for the med or else both will be filled and dispensed. This happened twice when I picked up meds for my husband. It scares me to think how many people may continue taking both prescriptions. (By the way you cannot return the meds once they have been taken out of the store.) Multiple times I have been notified by text I have meds to pick up and there is nothing there. I show the text. Nope, trip for nothing. I have had meds sent in by my physician and the staff swears it has not been sent. I have then had it called in by the physician and the staff still doesn't receive it. The most frustrating time was when I made 4 trips in one day to pick up a medication ordered for nausea in between bouts of vomiting. Admittedly I was unpleasant by the fourth trip. I get it when people are short staffed due to staff sickness but short staffing seems to be a staffing pattern here. Not a fan.

I'm new in town and am reluctant to criticize how things are done here. I have not utilized the pharmacy services. However, the shelves here are nearly unstocked. I've had 4 very disappointing experiences within 6 weeks. I finally lost my temper and even used foul language. I'm very grateful I wasn't asked to leave, but I don't see a reason to ever return. They simply don't provide my needs and I'm tired of leaving with a bad feeling.

Has Rite Aid on Spring Street given up? If I could give no stars, I would. The pharmacy just opened, four staff standing around, three customers in line already, and no cash register. Been coming here for over a decade and this place has been in a steep decline, especially the last year. It took 3 days to get my non-controlled substance medication refill ready to pick up. And god forbid your doctor prescribes a controlled substance. The judgement and attitude of the pharmacy staff is akin to a 15 year old girl straight off the set of Mean Girls. It's a hassle and inconvenient but I'm switching to Walmart. No surprise that rite aid is going bankrupt.

Empty shelves , Dirty and aged. This place needs a facelift quick. Not real comfortable going into a Pharmacy for medicine in a location this disheveled.

Rite Aid Pharmacy at 2424 Spring St is extremely frustrating. My husband was given a prescription to start immediately to help prevent an infection in his lungs not to turn into pneumonia. Stopped on the way home but was not ready. I called several times over a 6 hour period the next day but pharmacy never picked up. I went into town and stood in line at pharmacy for 15 minutes and when I finally got to the pharmacy window and asked if something was wrong with the phones I was told they were working but they chose not to answer. That is not acceptable. I also prefer Walmart. My husband made a formal complaint to the corporate office.

Most of my recent reviews are 5 stars, raving about great service. Unfortunately this isn't one of them. This review is about the pharmacy staff at Rite Aid. . Not the retail store staff. The pharmacy on Spring Street has the rudest, most impatient, uncaring, uncommunicative staff & Pharmacist. Basically refusing to "deal with" customers & telling them to "stop talking" & are short staffed & that is why they are incompetent. I have never heard staff talk to customers like they did last Thursday afternoon, on November 2nd. The pharmacy at Walmart in Paso Robles is so friendly & efficient & the Pharmacist, Jonathan, is extremely professional, personable, & caring. Transferring our prescriptions was the best thing to do. I'm getting all my family switched to Walmart. The Spring Street Rite Aid's pharmacy clearly doesn't want your business. The lines are usually long, & they will tell you it's because they are short staffed. The Rite Aid on Creston is somewhat better but my vote is Walmart if you are looking for a great pharmacy with professional pharmacists & caring & efficient check out staff. I do not recommend the Spring Street Rite Aid pharmacy & would give it negative stars. Sooo today is December 29th. I started this review almost 2 month ago & finally all of my husband's prescriptions are transferred. It took 4 requests! When I went in to ask why it was taking so long, the pharmacy staff snapped & said it was sent today. They always act very bothered to assist their customers. Well it won't be us any longer. Jonathan, our Walmart Pharmacist told me he was going to drive there himself if it wasn't transferred today. Luckily he didn't have to. But THAT is the kind of service you can expect at the Paso Robles Walmart pharmacy!

I never have had any problems getting my prescription’s at this location, Rite Aid does care about there service to customers.

My insurance has a crapshoot high copay to visit the doctor and then helps close to nothing on prescriptions and Esmeralda blessed me with GoodRX and ya I balled my eyes out. Her efforts in going above and beyond and helping me in a time of need… well I just have to sayThank you so much Esmeralda for going above and beyond with EXCELLENT customer service. I appreciate your help!

I was in this store today and the women behind the counter told me I needed to show I'd for pepper spray which by the way was not behind the counter .I just got a package at the sporting goods store the other day and they didn't card me or even Ask for my ID . It is not a california law to show ID to buy pepper spray .Not cool riteaid . bad service

Are you sick of being treated like garbage by the evil blonde pharmacist? Sick of her refusing to follow doctors orders? En soliel pharmacy in Atascadero treats their patients like actual humans. They answer the phone politely and call you by your name! I will never set foot in another pharmacy. Rite aid( especially the pharmacist) doesn’t not care about any of her patients.
