My friends and I walked into Paso Inn to enjoy a steak dinner. We arrived 20 minutes early, so the host informed us we should consider going to the upstairs bar and wait until our table was ready. We sat at the bar table, and instead of getting a welcoming greeting, one of my friends got a "Have you been drinking?" He jokingly replied, "Yes, all day." She then went on to say he was drunk and needed to drink water. He was not drunk, was very polite towards her, and refused to drink the water. He asked her on what grounds is she saying he was drunk, and she replied that she had a feeling he was drunk." He was not acting like a fool, falling over, slurring, or even being loud. He was talking to her respectfully, and all he was getting was negative comments. He brought his wife up to Paso Robles because SHE likes wine, and he just wanted his Jack and Coke at a steakhouse. The actions felt targeted because they did not welcome us upstairs and right away started saying he was drunk when, in fact, he was not even buzzed. They also denied his wife a drink because he refused to drink his water. When she drank the water they still did not want to make her a drink. When we asked to speak to a manager, they brought out a gentleman who seemed Latino. This man did not want to give up his name and instead gave us a stack of business cards for everyone higher up than him. He said he was the supervisor on shift, and there were no managers at 7:45 pm on a Saturday. He agreed that my friend was not intoxicated, that we were well-mannered, and that we were handling everything well. However, he said since we said we felt that it was a targeted incident due to race, he had to ask us to leave the premises and denied us the opportunity to have dinner. We left and then enjoyed my Sunday wine tasting.

We had dinner here on Christmas night and unfortunately it wasn't the best experience. There were four in our party and three ordered the prime rib special. Each piece was a super thin cut and not a high quality of meat (fatty/gristly). There was nothing special about the service or experience but it was pretty much the only place open and I appreciate the staff for working. I reached out to the manager following to share feedback and didn't hear back from her - I tried again and did reach her she acknowledged receiving my first voice mail but no explanation for not returning my call and no real apology or accountability for the poor experience. Unless it's Christmas and this is the only place open, the ere are MUCH better restaurants in Paso Robles.

Slow, slow, slow. If you want a 2 hr plus dining experience, this is the place. Did not take us long to get seated. Waited for a while to get drinks. Some drinks were poorly made. Another long lapse to ordered our food. I estimated it took over another hour to finally get our entrees!! Food was okay at best in my opinion. My friend liked his steak but my prime rib dinner was mix review. Prime rib and mash potatoes were good. Green beans were cold and over salted. My wife ordered the salmon and she couldn't finish it because it was over salted too. Ambiance was a plus. Nice looking restaurant. If you MUST and not in a rush or hungry, give it a try at your own risk.

The Steakhouse has very good ambiance and fair service. When we asked our server about a couple of the menu items, she said she had never had anything on the menu. Easter Dinner was disappointing. The food lacks much, and does not present a good value. The fish was tiny and overcooked, and the pork tenderloin was average.

The ambiance was nice, but, the food was a disappointment. It was Easter and I took my family for Easter and a birthday. We had a group of 6 so they charged an automatic 20% gratuity, which I normally would pay anyway and the service was okay, but it's worth noting. We ordered the halibut, it was overcooked/ dry and the side with it were not a good compliment. Another person ordered the lasagna; it was not good either, overcooked and hard to cut into bites. Another ordered the lamp , that was good and they liked the side of mashed potatoes. Each plate was close to $50 and portions were small. The deserts were good. They forgot about the bday and I had to remind them. Overall, Im not planning on going back.

We stopped here for dinner tonight as a last minute decision and I am so glad we did. The food was incredible and our server, Sally, was the sweetest. We had the coconut shrimp.and grilled artichoke starters, followed by the Mahi Mahi with coconut rice, spinach and Mango salsa and a Caesar salad with salmon. The fish was cooked to perfection. We look forward to coming back next time we're in Paso Robles.

This place is absolutely amazing! They cooked the salmon and Mahi Mahi perfectly. Our server (Sally) was so kind. The atmosphere was heavenly with relaxing music. This is the place to go if you want good food!

So before I get into this I'll say I was a waiter for 5 years in both casual dining and fine dining. They had hosts, bussers, and food runners. Basically more support staff than I ever had as a server. And the restaurant was not that full. I came here for my birthday with my family. First problem is I asked for the 16 oz prime rib. They brought me the 10 oz. And charged me for the 16 oz. Then I asked for ranch with my kids chicken strips. They said yes but never brought it. Our waitress didn't check on us for about 20 minutes. When she did I asked for a refill on my Diet Coke. She said yes and never brought it. Then when we were done eating I was going to get a dessert but it took 15 minutes after we were done eating for them to bring the check so i decided not to. Then it took another 15-20 minutes for them to run my card. Since everything took so long I didn't even ask them to change the price on my steak since at that point I was just ready to leave. The ambience is nice it's a great looking restaurant but honestly Luke's has a better prime rib for less money and WAY better service. Probably not going here again. My wife's pasta was good though. And my prime rib was probably a 3/5 so decent. Just not for the price of $50. Oh and when you make the reservation it asks if it's for your birthday and I said yes. But nobody said happy birthday or offered a dessert or anything. Which tbh was the least of my problems here.

Ordered the prime rib mid rare, came out medium at best. You can tell it was made yesterday and reheated. Ordered a white wine, received a red. Horrible service

The food was elevated, the service was over the top! Our waitress, Sally, went over and above to make sure we were satisfied, and bartender, Hayley, turned my husband into a fan of Pendleton scotch, when they were out of Dewers, for his Rusty Nail cocktail. Overall - great experience!

Terrible service. Nice ambience. Filet that was not quality, overcooked and inedible. Server never checked on us. Asked him about the soup of the day...”chicken and some vegetables”. Coconut shrimp was the texture of a hockey puck and about as flavorful. He did comp the inedible steak. So many better restaurants within walking distance. Skip this one

We are not picky people and never leave reviews but I had to say we paid a lot of money for an average meal. The bread was literally the worst bread I have ever had. So dry I took one bite and was done. The filet was average as well. Ambience was great and service was too. Just the bread blew us away with how dry and awful it was. For that price should have been much better. Bread is easy to do good. I would re evaluate your bread maker. Also requested on the online reservation that it was for a birthday and nothing was mentioned to us or offered while we saw other table get a birthday dessert. At that point I wasn't gonna say anything at all. We were kinda just done.
