“On our way to Cambria, my mom and I stopped here. We lost my dad last year to cancer. She and my dad would visit Cambria back in the day and stop at wineries along the way. Of course, she'd want to stop at one on the other side of the freeway, but anything for JaniPie. From the moment we drove onto the property, everything was perfect! It was a late Friday morning, plenty of parking, an area for pets to potty, and a nice, hilltop view of the winery. A gentleman had arrived around the same time as us. I don't know if he was the manager, but he looked important and was super sweet!
This brought back a lot of memories for my mom. When we arrived, there was no music on, but Sade started playing and if you knew my dad, he was all about Jimi Hendrix, Santana, and Sade. It was pretty emotional for myself, my mom was distracted with wine tasting. The hostess, I can't remember her name, but she catered to my mom like she was royalty! We left with two bottles of wine, candles, and lotion with a grapefruit fragrance...the scent is refreshing and makes your skin feel so soft! We couldn't stay long because a sleeping Tiny was waiting in the car. I definitely recommend this place, even if you don't drink wine, you'll be impressed with the artwork, decor, food, variety of books, and many other treasures here!”
“magical, mesmerizing, and inspiring property. what a find. loved wandering the gardens and finding books to read in. the owners are lovely, hospitable, and very generous with their recommendations. can’t wait to come back.”
“I have never been to a winery where the people were so nice and accommodating,my sister lost her wallet there and they met us in the morning with her wallet .A big shout out to the owner who found it and to Suzy for meeting us in the morning then not taking any $ for the inconvenience. “Best place ever””
“A very attractive tasting facility. Relax by the pond. Nice wines some grapes sourced on premises, other varieties from further away, but processed on premises. Also a treat, some wine based vegan ice cream, quite tasty.”
“I highly encourage you to participate in the awesome California Mid-State Fair.
It is held annually in Paso Robles in July. The admission fee is affordable. Additionally, you can buy cheaper tickets in advance or use coupons in your mailbox to save more money.
The atmosphere at the Fair is very lively and fascinating with many shops and great food stands. Moreover, there are some livestock and other animals you can see as well.
The amusement rides and music stages create a cheerful ambiance. It is a fun place and suitable for the whole family, particularly for kids.
We came to the Fair after lunch. Our two-ticket coupon included two lemonades with two hot dogs on a stick or two cheese sticks. They were all great. However, we still had room for something else before we left.
We're glad that we tried the Jalapeño cheese Pretzel. It was the best pretzel I’ve ever had.
Generally, a pretzel is a little bit chewy and has a hard texture. But this freshly-baked pretzel was very soft with fresh ingredients that were incredibly delicious. We highly recommend it. Don't miss out because you can’t find it outside of the Fair.
The unlimited ride tickets are a great deal if you want to try everything out. There are two options:
Unlimited Ride Wristband with Front of the Line Access $75
Unlimited Ride Wristband $55
Or you can buy 10 Digital Game/Ride Credits for $15.
Also, we discovered an Unlimited Daily Refills Soda stand called Wild Bills that is excellent for drinking and saving money. Unfortunately, we found this place as we were leaving the Fair.
This brings to mind, pets and outside food or beverages are not allowed. Exception: Service animals. Each person may bring up to 2 unopened plastic water bottles or an empty reusable plastic water bottle.
Sometimes one day is not enough to see and eat everything. I wish they could sell a two-day pass without having to buy a ticket again.”

“Mauricio was our bartender. He was amazing! We felt so welcome (my whole family) and he made me drinks based on my taste. Went out of his way. Very attentive and kind. As a gluten free person I was very excited about the chocolate flourless cake! Lovely experience, beautiful location”

“Stayed here for 3 nights in August. Hotel was at the tail end of a major renovation so there were construction guys all over but didn't bother me at all. They have light appetizers for breakfast in the lobby...if you want something more substantial you pay for it. Used the pool and the gym and both were clean and welcomed. My room was nice and clean and was perfect for my stay. The staff were all very friendly and accommodating. Kudos Courtyard and see you next time.”
“Great wine, we hosted an event and the hosts were really kind and shared their story. They have a good variety of white and red to choose from! Would recommend to others!”
