I have been residing in Pauma Valley for quite some time and have generally been satisfied with the local services, in special with small Pauma Postal Office. However, I have encountered numerous issues with misplaced packages and letters, which prompts me to share my concerns. Just yesterday, I ordered an item from Amazon with next-day delivery (for which I paid extra), and it was crucial for me to receive it by noon the following day. I tracked the shipment and received a notification on my phone confirming that the package had been delivered to my mailbox. When I rushed outside to collect it, I found all the mail present, but the package was missing. I then went across the street, where a kind and professional attendant checked and suspected that the delivery person might have mistakenly placed it in someone else's mailbox.
Additionally, about a month ago, I received a package from a neighbor who is not particularly friendly, which had been left in my mailbox. In the same week, while cleaning my backyard, I discovered a DMV letter buried in the dirt that belonged to someone living over two miles away in the community. I understand people make mistakes but It seems necessary for the postal office supervisor or manager to address these recurring issues with the delivery contractor, who appears to be neglecting her responsibilities. Amazon courtesy offered and will resend a new order for me, but unfortunately It did help with my immediate needs.

I’ve never left a bad review before but this place has caused me so much trouble, I’m going to try to keep it as short as possible. A package that left the San Diego distribution center on their way to Pauma mysteriously vanished, it was a huge moving box, it could have not gotten “lost”, when I spoke with them literally not a single person in that office was even attempting to help me, I started a investigation via usps website and instead of investigating they just closed it, I tried again and they simply closed it again. Sadly it was their responsibility to investigate it, because they’re the receiving mail office and last time it was scanned it was on its way to them, but they chose not to. This box was from my father containing items of sentimental value, and items with a value of about $1000 altogether, but not one person in that office cared to even try to find out where it could be. I still have no idea what happened to it. And then I wanted to pick up another package, which was an ebay order, when I got to the mail office they told me I didn’t pick it up in time, so they sent it back to the seller, I never received a slip in my mailbox though either, to make things worse, on the tracking it says that the package has been delivered to P.O, box at USPS Pauma valley. I don’t even have a P.O. Box. Now the seller won’t refund me my money, I’m left without the item and without my money. I rarely leave a comment, but this place has caused me so much trouble, and I was always surprised why they have some sort of drama going on with customers almost every time I go in there, now I know why, because I’ve become a victim of their unprofessional and poor work ethic too. Also it’s impossible to call them via phone, I’ve called countless times and they just don’t answer.

The staff at this location has always been very kind and helpful. I never feel rushed and they always go above and beyond to answer my questions. Thank you Pauma Valley Postal service!

Trent is lazy, unprofessional and extremely rude. We’ve had a problem with him every time we go in there. This post office as a whole tends to lose mail, give out the wrong mail, or steal mail. Their customer service is extremely shoddy and I am embarrassed for the company as a whole.

Very friendly efficient staff, my only complaints are with decision makers not even opening on Saturday 1/2 day....I could swear they used to be open half day on Saturday...Seriously especially holidays.

It would be nice for them to get a bigger building, sometimes they have to store packages locked up OUTSIDE. Time to expand ? The valley is growing.

Great post office. Always helpful and people that work there seem to always have a good attitude... Even thru the hustle and bustle of voting ... this year. and Holiday issues...

This is a small post office in a rural area. Usually frequented by locals. The staff know their customers and are very helpful. Don't be swayed by the two negative opinions of others regarding package pick up. They have always held my stuff when I'm out of town, which I informed them of. When you do that they will hold packages. Just remember that they are closed for lunch because it is that small.
