Went in here with my own cup to get ice from the fountain drinks. There is no signs or anything showing that AMPM "charges for that fountain drink ice" Doesn't the state of California allow us to get free ice and water?

I stopped at this ARCO for gas in May, 2023. It took a couple of times for the pump to take my credit card. But I like to pay at the pump instead of the cheaper cash price inside, so that I don't have to go inside, unless I feel I need something. So I pay the higher price not to have to walk inside. Anyway, the pump took a while to pump, but not drastically long. It does have a vapor recovery system, and no handle lock. So you must hold the pump tight into the tank to fill it up. When done, the pump then doesn't give me the receipt that I said yes, when asked if I wanted a receipt. So now I have to walk inside to get my receipt, even though I paid extra money not to have to walk inside. The guy inside tells me this is normal and he doesn't have a key to the pump. Go figure. Ironically, this is the third time in days (also in a row) that ARCO stations charged me more for pay at the pump, yet I had to walk inside to get my receipt. I can't help but wonder if this is on purpose to get people in the store to buy something else? Either way, three strikes and you're out. I will now avoid ARCO stations after this third bad experience in a row, in just a few days. I rated this ARCO purely on the gas station experience and not on the conference store itself. Either way, it has not left a good impression.
