The bootcamp training is unfortunately a huge waste of $$$$. I was told it was a great option for owners who do not have time to do the training and that my dog is a puppy with no aggression so should have everything down in 2 weeks. The contract says they will learn the foundation and the rest is up to the owners. But no foundation was made. Sent my dog so she wouldn’t jump on people and bite. Right when I arrived for the exit lesson, she did both. I was told “she’s a puppy” and it takes time.Only 5 commands on the checklist are taught. Everything else is: use a squirt bottle with vinegar water and a prong collar until she gets it.They said my dog was too young for off leash training, meanwhile her littermate did a different bootcamp (that actually interacted with other dogs), and by week 1, she could stay in place and follow commands in PUBLIC with multiple people and dogs and all OFFLEASH.Honestly, sorry for the long review but just save your money. Trust me.P.s. the 5 star reviews are likely from the email we receive for “discounted boarding” if we leave ONLY a 5 star review, not just a “review”

I’m so happy with K9 Companions. My mini dachshund Kodi spent 3 weeks there and he is so much better. Diane communicated with me the whole time. She sent me videos and pics letting me know he was improving. Ashley is Kodi’s trainer and she came to my house and made sure we were set up for success. I’m going back Saturday for our free follow up lessons. I was recommended by a friend and I’m so glad I made the investment to make Kodi more secure and not be anxious. Thank you K9 Companions.

I brought my two dogs, Magnus 9mo. Pitbull and Lyla 5yr Shar pei. My old girl is extremely stubborn, partly due to the breed and partly due to how she’s a princess. I was worried about her during her 2 week stay, and she adjusted very well to the loving staff at K9 companions. She isn’t a fan of new people, and she was really able to come out of her shell to the point she’s even better around strangers to this day. I am eternally grateful for the amazing staff at this facility for being so patient with my girl. She walks on a leash tremendously better too!Magnus had a severe jumping problem. He also barks at all dogs he sees, and people too sometimes. There was a lot of work needed and although he still has his troubles, teaching him has been a lot easier due to the foundational rules that were applied to his learning. I 100% recommend this facility to whoever needs some extra help shaping up their loved pets.

We took our 10 month old Corgi Cody for a two week boot camp and couldn't be happier with the experience. He has learned all of his basic commands and he walks by my side better then any of my previous Corgi's. Another plus was when Ashley came to our home for the follow-up lesson, she taught us how to train Cody to respect boundaries in the front yard and had him doing it in only 5 minutes. We now see why our son's family has taken 3 of their dogs there for their training as well! Thanks K-9 Companions!John & Bev

I had my Samoyed puppy, Lucien, attend their 2 week training. Very noticeable difference in him afterwards. He now holds commands until released and even when excited will listen. I was concerned that with him just being 7 months at the time the training wouldn't take, but now at 10 months he still listens to the commands. Follow up and reinforcement is needed but every walk becomes an easy way to have a training session. Highly recommended and I'll be bringing him back to them for additional training courses in the future.

We recently had our little Boston terrier puppy go through the basic boot camp in July and she did great! Our older dog, Lucy, a cavapoo, went there years ago and shes the best so we knew we had to take our puppy to K9 companions. The trainers are SO nice and we were so impressed with what Stella learned. She’s a very energetic dog and we weren’t so sure how she would listen because she can be stubborn at times. When we came back after 2 weeks we were so impressed with her training. She was only about 4.5-5 months old so we were nervous leaving her but the staff encouraged us to call after the weekend and check in on her and they answered all our questions we had and reassured us she was just fine. She even made some friends! If you’re thinking about bringing your dog here - do it! It’s so worth it and they even gave us a discount because Stella was our second dog to go through the training. We still have our 3 on site classes left so can’t wait to come back. Thank you K9 companions!!

I recently took my puppy to the 2 week boot camp and I absolutely love the results. He is still his happy self and follows basic but essencial commands, which shows he was getting a lot of love during the trainings.Thank you to all the staff who trained him and I especially want to thank Daniel for my one on one lessons. Thank you for you professionalism, kindness, and patience with me and my puppy.

I Have now gone to k9 companions twice for both of my dogs Kai and Miles this last time we did a brush up for Kai and basic obedience for Miles we worked with the trainer Daniel and he was AMAZING!!!! he answered all my questions !! He even helped my wife to become more comfortable with my 2 dogs and they can be a handful so she's super grateful for the advice on how to handle and work with them!! and Probably the coolest thing he did was during our at home lesson for Miles, maybe 5mins before he got there both of my dogs manage to escape the house and he spent the whole afternoon helping me and my family find them and I cannot thank him enough for that action, when we finally tracked both of them down he still offered to complete the in home lesson! he genuinely cares so much about every dog he trains and wants them all to live their best lives!!! I SERIOUSLY CANNOT THANK HIM ENOUGH FOR EVERYTHING HE DID FOR US!!! whenever we go back to K9 companion I know which trainer to ask for his name is Daniel! ( and Daniel if you are reading this one last time from the bottom of my heart thank you for everything you did for Miles and Kai )

Such a great environment for dog training!!! I was a bit nervous about leaving my puppy Marlin for 2 weeks, but honestly, best decision ever! He is very well behaved, and still following all of his commands that he learned in training. All the trainers there are awesome, but Anna was especially great with Marlin!

I understand that choosing a place to board and train your dog is not an easy decision. Of course every owner who cares enough about their dog to send them to training must care whether or not their beloved pet will be in good hands. Well, if you have doubts about this place, don't. These folks at K-9 Companions are the real deal. Special thanks to Diane who initially spoke to me over the phone and answered every single one of my questions. She didn't rush me and she made me feel comfortable. At the free consultation, she was very professional. Other places that I called to inquire about were extremely rude or had a "don't care" attitude in their tone. K-9 Companions was the place that gave me the most welcoming vibe. Now for the trainer. My dog's trainer, Daniel, was the best. You can tell he is very passionate about his craft. When I arrived to pick up my German Shepherd mix, Tuco, it almost felt like Tuco developed a really close bond with Daniel and he didn't know who to be more excited for. I almost felt like I was taking Tuco away from him now! The field lesson was an hour as expected and it was so cool to observe what he had learned. Now, the in-home lesson. Daniel was on time and very patient showing Tuco: Place, Up (to board the car), and boundary control. When I saw exactly how he was training Tuco at my house I realized it's no wonder my dog came back so educated so fast. Daniel was patient with him. My dog showed no sign of fearing Daniel. I can rest assured knowing my dog was not abused. Overall, K-9 Companions was the right choice for me. The facility, the staff, the lessons were all spot on. My dog came back changed, but for the better. He is obedient outdoors, and indoors. I should mention that this is my first indoor dog I've ever had! And he's been inside and outside ever since he came home. I'll definitely recommend this place to anybody looking to train their dog. Thanks Daniel!!!!

I took my 5 month old chocolate lab "MAVERICK" to k-9 companions and wow did they do an amazing job with him. he now is great on a leash, follows commands and acts like such a mature dog. he is still a puppy and does puppy things, but what they taught him and also my family for follow up training is awesome. He was fortunate enough to have Angelica as his trainer and she did such an amazing job. She even came over for in home training and spent an hour just walking all of my family through techniques on how to follow up in his training. Angelica is a natural dog lover and it really shows. thanks K-9 companions for an excellent job !!!

The young trainer made a few mistakes with our interaction at the end of his stay. She said “I would never get this breed, they are too mouthy”. Why didn’t you get a lab? Then “They are too hard to train,” and they have “separation anxiety”. My puppy was only 4 months old at the time..For a lot of money he sort of knows how to heel. I was told they have different trainers during the dogs boot camp. Not true, same trainer. I got the feeling she just didn’t like my dog. I felt my dog was just a bad dog! Never advised of progress unless I called daily. The boot camp in my opinion was just not worth the money. Yes I have a high drive puppy, a Malenois, but that’s why I wanted some good training, not a personal opinion.

So grateful for this place. Every other trainer I took my dog to did not seem committed to helping me like the trainers at K-9 Companions were. They worked with us despite the fact my dog would try and bite through his muzzle during training, which was pretty scary. We did their on site training and did a few at home sessions as well. While my dog is still a handful at times, he improved so much after his training.

Lottie & Luna came home so much better behaved! They walk well now and can almost walk together easily. Before training, I didn't even want to walk them it was so unpleasant. They are young and still learning, but I continue to work with them and having Ashley come the in-home session was great - she was super helpful. Everyone there is willing to work with us and answer questions.K9 Companions was recommended to me for my previous dog back in 2009 and I have recommended them to several others over the years. It's a great place.
