My friend flew in from Alaska and our other friend met us here to celebrate her 35th birthday. It was stunning and we were so excited to celebrate and enjoy the property. We went to dinner and told the restaurant it was my friends 35th in our reservation and no one aknowledged it, however, sang and brought a candle lit dessert to the table next to us. They began vacuuming while we ate our dessert 30 minutes before closing... we promptly left. We went back to our cabin and suddenly the power went out. We shivered all night and had no power to charge our phones and no way to read our books. We spoke with management in the morning and they said power would be back by 2pm. So we left to find some coffee and kill time to stay warm and dry until then. We returned at 1:30 to be told that now the power wouldnt be on until 8pm. The Yoga that was scheduled and included was cancelled. We had to cancel our friends birthday massage as well since there was no way to heat the towels/room etc. They let us cancel our 2nd night without a fee but would not give us any sort of discount on our initial night. We spent nearly $300 to freeze all night and spend no time on the property doing the stated activities. I would have given this place another try, however without giving us any sort of reimbursement or even a little empathy, I wont be back. The staff was cold and short with us. It was just a really sad trip and I'm sorry I took my friends here. I'd highly recommend having a back up plan if you're planning on giving this place a shot.

Great stay at Costanoa in one of the cabins. Beautiful view from the porch, loved the fireplace in the room. Walls a bit thin so you can hear the other room in the cabin, but not a big deal. Loved the nearby hike to the beach! But the best part was the amazing service - I lost some very special bracelets and the team went above and beyond to find them for me, and even mailed them back to me. Thank you!!!

KOA campsite for trailers, RVs and tent camping. Additionally, there are tent shelters, cabins & a hotel on site. There is a beautiful restaurant with excellent food and a small grocery store. The hotel has a spa. There are dry saunas at each comfort station. Ocean views. Beautiful flowers and grounds. Great family destination.

Costanoa KOA was so incredible I decided to write a poem. The Costanoa KOA, a woeful retreat,Where campers find solace in grim defeat.Narrow sites confine, like shackles so tight,With no space to breathe, no respite in sight.Sloping terrain, a cruel twist of fate,Unforgiving ground, where we hesitate. Each step a challenge, a test of our will,As we navigate slopes, feeling time stand still.Muddy waters flow, a murky display,No clarity, no purity, just dismay. The promise of refreshment, a cruel facade,Leaving us thirsting, feeling oh so sad.Oh, Costanoa KOA, you've left your mark,A memory etched, like a wound so stark. No return shall I make, no second chance,For my weary heart seeks a better expanse. In search of a haven, where peace can reside,A campground of solace, a place to abide. But never again shall I grace your terrain,For the Costanoa KOA, brings only disdain.I can deal with the narrow site, but the muddy water? Looks like we will be using bottled water for all of our cooking and cleaning. Absolute trash. Glad I paid top dollar for this #%^t hole.

My company had their annual retreat here and it was perfect! The tent-cabins are very well insulaed and it was nice to walk through the woods and catch up with people enroute from the tent-cabin village to events. :)The tie-dye was also very well stocked. 100% cotton is the way to go -- I tried to dye a jacket as well and it wound up pretty 'muddy' looking because the material wicked the dye in and the colors all blended. All in good fun tho. :)

Best RV park Ive stayed at since we've had an RV ( 2004). Big restaurant, great general store with organic veggies from the Koa's huge gardens on the grounds. Beautiful grounds, view of the ocean, narrow space but big area behind the RV with fireplace and a deck. Reasonable pricing. Dog park was great.. big. Walking the park was delightful. We will be returning often.

This KOA was just simply beautiful. Our experience was top notch from the reservation process to checkout. The grounds are simply perfect! Beautiful manicured lawns and the Club K-9 area was unmatched by any other campground/resort we've ever been to (if you have larger dogs you know how gross some of the dog relief areas can be). I will say, for the people that have yet to come here, that it is not "beachfront" but they have spectacular ocean views and are only a short walk down to the beach areas. If you've come across this KOA and you're thinking to yourself; "should we?", YES YOU SHOULD!

I would give zero stars if I could: Terrible customer service. Target people intentionally and will add charges to your site that they can't prove (like charging us for trash that we didn't leave at our site and have pictures to prove it). Customer service is terrible. Aaron is rude and hung up on me three times when I tried to respectfully dispute the charge. They want to charge hotel prices but you feel like you're being watched ALL THE TIME! This is NOT the same wonderful place we're used to visiting for years, really down hill now! Do not come here. We've been coming for years but will not return. We called KOA and they told us because this is now a privately owned campsite, there's nothing they can do.

We came glamping here twice with our 3 year old and friends. The tents were great if you want to feel like camping without any of the hassle. The place is very kid friendly. They have a nice little playground and lawn games area. They organize activities although we didn't participate. They have a nice bar/restaurant with live music at night. You can go see the elephant seals by driving North 5 minutes.

We came here in May 2023 for the long Memorial Day weekend and stayed 3 nights in the Cypress bungalow/tent. This is a really awesome place for glamping. There are areas for RVs, ground space for campers that want to pitch their own tents, a village of bungalow tents with beds, and nicer cabins. This is a kid friendly place, so there were a lot of kids running around playing and riding bikes all over the campgrounds. Cypress tent:It had a queen size bed, electric heating blanket, a space heater, 1 nightstand, 2 small lights, and just enough space to walk around the bed, so there's just enough room to sleep and change in the tent. This was perfect for what we were looking for and the blanket and space heater kept us plenty warm. We were even too toasty at one point so we shut off the heating blankets in the middle of the night. You're relatively close to other tents and since they're not real walls, you hear your neighbors' conversations and loud birds. In our case, there was also a baby in the tent next to us so I woke up to a baby crying a couple of times the first night, but I solved this by getting complimentary ear plugs from the front desk lobby for the other nights and slept just fine. Bathroom & Showers:Staying in the cypress village/bungalow tent, we were a short walking distance to the shared bathrooms and showers that they call comfort stations. The bathrooms also have a central fireplace area with chairs where folks can come gather and hangout around a fire. The showers are outdoors (although there was one shower inside the bathroom as well) and the water gets really hot and they also supplied shampoo, conditioner, and body wash inside the showers. I recommend bringing water shoes or some sort of shower shoes since you wouldn't want to go barefoot in the showers, but other than that the showers and bathroom are pretty well-maintained. In our tent, they supplied metal shower caddies with towels, little shampoos and soap, and robes. Food options:- They have Casacde which is their nicer restaurant that serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner. We made a reservation for dinner on a Friday night and it was pretty good, just the pricer option for food- Pine and Tent is their more casual spot for food and drinks. We ate almost all our meals here on Saturday and Sunday. We got coffee and breakfast burritos in the morning and for lunch and dinner had their pizza, spaghetti and meatballs, and other salad and sandwiches they had- A small general store for snacks and food items that you can grill or cook if you're opting to make something yourself at your campsite. I saw a fridge with bacon, eggs, etc. so they have all the necessities to allow campers to cook their own food without having to leave Costanoa to look for a grocery store. They also had beer and wine. Hikes:**recommend wearing long pants and long sleeves due to poison ivy & ticks in the area**- For a costal scenic hike, my favorite hike was Franklin point which is about 3 miles. You do have to cross the Highway 1 but the hike was very rewarding to hike along the coast and see the beach and the terrain felt diverse. We started on dirt then we were walking on small rocks, then crossed the highway road, I remember there being grassy parts, sandy parts, and also parts where there were wooden planks to pave the path. Overall this was my favorite hike because of how beautiful the coastal view was. I would definitely do this hike again. - Ohlone Ridge hike was also about 3 miles and this is on the more forest-y side of Costanoa. Lots of greenery and trees. We spotted a lot of poison ivy on this trail so we were careful about not touching anything at all. We saw a lot of rabbits hopping around on this hike and it was worth getting to the top to see the overlook, even though it was a bit foggy and overcast when we went. We found a tick on my sweater after this hike (dog ticks are known to be common here), so I highly recommend checking all your clothes after any of the hikes and changing immediately after into a new set of clothes if po
