Ordered a few times without issue. And no, a retailer is not responsible for a decades-old bottle of wine "going bad." It's the risk you take as a customer.

Sold 1.5L for significantly more than 750ml, but no more than double the price of 750ml. Then claimed the price is actually for 750ml which is a blatant lie. Dishonest wine store.

Please read this review before ordering from Abalat! They require a signature for delivery. They use GLS. Thus, you literally need to be there when they arrive. UPS and FedEx will always leave a package at your house even if there is a "signature required". Not GLS! GLS will do 3 attempts and then return the package to the deliverer (at your expense!). If you want to change the delivery location to your work, that will cost you $19.50! No joke!! Do you want to pick it up at the local GLS depot? They are only open Monday through Friday. Thus, I literally have to take the day off work tomorrow to get my package! It's the 3rd and final attempt GLS will make. It's causing me a financial hardship but I really have no other choice. PLEASE consider what I have shared here before you order from Abalat.

AVOID AVOID AVOID - grossly negligent. Expect your wine to arrive cooked - no regard to shipping fine or expensive bottles! They shipped a very expensive bottle (that was a gift) when the forward forecast had two of the following five days in the high 90s within California. Absolutely absurd. Ended up getting delivered on exactly one of those five days (a 95 - 100F scorcher) and was cooked and they blamed the gift recipient. AVOID AVOID AVOID.

Caveat Emptor!!! My adult children sprang for a ‘58 Barolo to celebrate my 60th. Upon receipt, it went straight into my cellar, and 3 weeks later we opened it while together celebrating Easter. Although the wine's having turned (gone bad) was not disputable, Aabalat refused to take responsibility. Not even store credit was offered as “They don't stand behind their winesâ€. If we'd ordered the same bottle at a restaurant we certainly would not have been expected to pay for it... not sure why Aabalat feels they bear no responsibility for having sold a bad bottle of wine? I offered to provide both videos of the bottle being opened with the cork crumbling and photos of the brown wine in a clear decanter... they had no interest. Lesson learned!

Ordered $500+ in wine on 3/21, never had any communication from them on when it was to arrive. Finally called them on 3/30 and they said my shipment was being held due to weather in my area -they were to be shipped to Scottsdale (AZ), there was no weather in my area at all. I emailed them to cancel part of my order and then they said they were charging my credit card 4% charge for the return because thats what the cc charges them. What I don't understand is why they are charging my credit card before they ship the product to me to begin with, and why is there absolutely no communication on shipping time estimates etc, unless prompted by a phone call from me. Won't buy from them again.

Peter was awesome to deal with. Ordered some rare wines to help complete my collection from eBay and he combined all into one to save shipping. Will be buying more from him. Thanks again. Ron Z.

I've ordered a few times from Aabalat and have been pleased every time. Shipping is quick, product is exactly as described, and the prices are reasonable considering its vintage wine. I recommend buying that rare bottle you are having a hard time finding from them.

These guys are a joke. I purchased 4 nice bottles of Araujo from them for just under $1,300 of wine and paid another $70+ in UPS Overnight shipping and insurance. Made the purchase on March 28, 2015. When it had not shipped, 5 days later on April 2 I asked "When is this order shipping?" - by email. Received an emailed response back, that day, reading: "The system shows its at the warehouse to be packed and shipped, when they ship you would received a final invoice with tracking information." Which may be the most annoying response of all time because it didn't even remotely answer my question nor did it commit to anything. Another 5 days later, on April 7, I emailed them informing them to cancel the order that I did not want it any longer. This is now 10 days after I placed the order. The next morning, on April 8 I get a phone call from someone (I think named "Peter"???) claiming he had already spoke to me on the phone regarding this. "No, you didn't. Just emailed me." What does it matter? He alleges, three times throughout the conversation that he already spoke to me on the phone. I keep saying no. Finally I demand a refund and to cancel the order. He goes off about how I should have put special notes in the order and they didn't know that I wanted it shipped, immediately, and that they have been overwhelmed shipping held wine to people on the East Coast because of all the freezing temperatures .... blah, blah, blah. How is this my problem? I have no idea. All I know is that I paid a lot of money for 4 bottles of wine that their website said was "in stock" and then paid for overnight shipping. I'm not sure why I was accosted over the phone, by this guy. I would say I was an incredibly patient customer - waiting ten days before cancelling my order. Anyway, he finally informs me that the order is shipping today ...... what a coincidence. I agree to accept the order, but I shouldn't have. I question what I'm actually receiving, now. Totally irritated. Avoid these guys. One of the worst buying experiences, of all time. Horrible. Terrible. I really don't believe they carry what they have for sale on their website, in stock. In my opinion, they take orders for everything under the sun and figure out how to fulfill the order later. Not cool. Not honest. And, they're not nice on any level. AVOID!

Had to get a retirement party gift and I don't know much about wine. The owner, Bob, was very helpful and knowledgable in different types of wine and had very good recommendations. Very good customer service!

I recent bought a nice bottle of wine for my wife's birthday. Peter was extremely helpful in finding me what I was looking for. He held it for me until the summer heat had passed and then shipped it the same day when I told him I was ready. It was a great experience and I will definitely buy from them again.
