The appointment is just for you to wait 1 hours instead of 2 hours.

It's not open on Saturdays. That is irresponsible since many people work during the workday and need service on the weekends.

I had to spend over 30 minutes to get my statement. This is very slow service.

Bad management and terrible customer service. I have to wait over 45 minutes for nothing. If you get too busy, just say no to help and don't waste my time. No apologies and bad attitude. Never come back again.

The small facility of the Eastside of Petaluma is just not adequate for Petaluma's growing population. Wait time to stand in line to reach a teller can be forty five minutes due to this consolidation. You closed the large branch on the Westside of Petaluma during Covid's peak??? but it's time to reopen the bank. This isn't the way to keep your customers happy.

I have had a horrific time with this bank. I lost my wallet Friday 3/18, and got a call from this bank location(the gentlemen on the phone clearly identified himself as working at the location on mcdowell) telling me that they had it, and that I should pick it up on monday, as they were closed over the weekend. On monday, I was unable to come to this location, but i called and was told that there was probably nothing there and was hung up on. The next 30 calls i made, throughout their entire business day, went unanswered. I returned today, Tuesday, and someone(Dina) apparently actually checked the lost qnf found and there was nothing. I am at my wits end here.

This bank is hardly ever open. Seems they’ll find any excuse to be open fewer days and shorter hours. What good is a bank that opens after everyone is at work, and closes before most people are off work? Now closed on Saturday, too? Seriously? What a joke. Banks like this help establish the case for decentralized finance.

I started an Estate account here after my mother passed away solely out of a misplaced loyalty to my mother's long-standing banking history with BofA. The start up appointment should have been a red flag. After making an appointment 10 days in advance (the soonest they had during the pandemic), I arrived on time at 9:30am, and had to wait nearly an hour. It was uniquely busy they said. I don't believe that now. In spite of coming prepared with all of the extensive paperwork, it took another two hours to complete the account set up. Only to be asked to give them another few hours for the final processing and signing of papers while the corporate office processed the account on their end. They would give me a call. I left for two hours. I returned without a call back. They were ready to finalize. This process took another hour and a half! I left at 3:30pm. I was fortunate to be working from home due to the pandemic. This would not have been possible had I been trying to accomplish this during my lunch hour under normal circumstances. At $25 a month for the pleasure of an Estate checking account, I wasted not just time with Bank of America, but my mother's money as well. Needlessly. My own longtime credit union charges no fee. Chase only $12. But my mother had a mortgage with BofA, and while continuing to pay that, it somehow made sense to keep things all in one place. Not well thought out on my part. Then time came to close the account. Again another appointment made. Again another 30 minutes wasted while I sat there waiting, after arriving on time. The irony being, you are not allowed to close out an account without making an appointment first. Much like the DMV, you could arrive without an appointment and take your chances to be seen by a "banking specialist" (not a teller), but only after all those with appointments have been seen. Since they are generally running an hour behind with each next appointment, the chances of talking with anyone without making an appointment is very slim. The "banking specialist" who eventually helped me close out my account, was behind the teller window when I arrived. But, in spite of a customer arriving on time for a scheduled appointment, they continued to do something else for 30 minutes while I waited. Then he casually came over and said he could help me. No apologies for the delay. I asked if he was the same person who saw me come in and check in at the arrival desk. He confirmed that he was. And again, never offered any reasonable explanation for postponing a scheduled appointment. Point being, they definitely do not take these scheduled appointments seriously and feel no obligation to provide any kind of customer service. Your time is not their concern. You need something from them, and they will assist you when they decide to, and not a minute sooner. I grew up with the Bank of America branch on Kentucky featured prominently in our family as my aunt worked there for decades before eventually retiring with BofA. This branch was once considered part of the fabric of our town with most business owners having accounts there and it was a hub of social connections, especially on Fridays (payday). I know nothing stays the same. But oh how you have fallen, Bank of America. Especially within the town of Petaluma. With only one active branch staffed, the McDowell branch is absolutely devoid of service. Get it together, BofA McDowell. It's so much more than a hiring issue. It's a systemic management issue. You made a very sad time (managing my late mother's estate) even sadder. And considering that BofA was always a safe place growing up, this was certainly an unexpected and disappointing end of a banking era for me. As I will never do any banking here again. And I strongly caution anyone to run from this branch. And walk your money straight over to Redwood Credit Union. You never need to pay such a high monthly premium ($25) for the misplaced privilege they consider their "services" provide.

Do not bank here they are not helpful in the slightest bit and do not care about their costumers. valerie Gellinger especially!! she is so unfriendly, unwilling to be helpful or nice. I came here with issues with my account and instead of helping she made me call costumer service and waited 30+ mins on hold just to see there is nothing wrong with my account. So uncooperative and rude attitude. I honestly don't know how she works there with that ugly attitude of hers. Please bank somewhere else or work with a different teller bc she's RUDE. I hope to never get service from her .

First they closed the downtown location. Then they limited the hours of the across the town location. I drove across town today for a task that can only be done in person to find the doors locked. Apparently BofA is so understaffed that they cannot hire an employee to update their Google my business hours. I’ve banked with BofA for 30 years. I need to start looking for a bank that is alive and functioning.

I spent many months to rectify a Zelle illegal transfer by someone suggesting they were helping me put the money back in my bank account. The complaint I made was never submitted by the teller. When time passed and I checked on the complaint they had no knowledge but that person was no longer with them. It was many months before I ever heard they would not cover the scam. I have now seen on ABC that many have had their money returned to them. Please let me know why mine has not been.Marjorie GoodmanPetaluma
