I have been going to CVS and before they became CVS (Longs). I worked next door at Northbay Savings and was in there almost every day for something. Everyone always knew me and the service was wonderful. It is just like that now. Troy was always helpful and I am glad he is still there. All the employees know me and are very helpful. It is ALWAYS a pleasure to go into the store.

Booked online for a COVID vaccine for my daughter tonight, using her date of birth to schedule the appointment. Arrived to be told that this pharmacy doesn’t carry pediatric COVID vaccines. Drove 30 minutes to get here. The tech was completely unapologetic and offered no help in finding us a location that does have the pediatric vaccine and told us we would need to call around.

Showed up on-time for a vaccine appointment for my daughter. Waited at the window for what seemed like forever. Finally got checked in and had to wait another 30 minutes for the actual shot which only takes seconds. Totally unacceptable!

I'm new to Petaluma and had never been to this pharmacy until this now. I will never be back. The pharmacist (a woman) and the staff is so inexplicably rude and demeaning that I was shocked to my core. Why? I have never been treated with such overt rudeness in my life. I got the feeling that they were disgusted having to deal with an old person. Well, honeys, I'm old, but I'm computer literate, so here's my review!

The photo service is really a DISASTER. I wasted 40 minutes of my time trying to print some photos that couldn't be printed. It was very scary. The computer crashed and the photos remained on the screen and anyone could print them later. When I asked the employee to get my photos out of there he told me that he didn't know how to do it and that what I could do was turn off the computer. I tried another computer to see if it worked. But it was very slow and when I sent the photos to be printed it did not print them. The boy told me he didn't know why it was. In the end I paid for the few photos I was able to take, the employee never said sorry or thank you. I'm not coming back here again. If you don't want to waste your time I recommend that you DO NOT COME TO DSTE CVS

Every time I go to CVS Pharmacy on N. McDowell in Petaluma, CA, I leave swearing to myself that I will never go back. The customer service is abominable. But, today, I returned because the CVS website says that all stores are stocked with Novavax and don’t make an appointment, just come by. So I did — and all three personnel with whom I interacted were severely lacking — in customer service, patience and intelligence. The attendant at the pharmacy clearly didn’t want to be there and clearly resented having to wait on customers (yeah, that’s what I am, a customer); the pharmacist kept me waiting 30 minutes to determine that the Novavax on stock was expired, and the checkout clerk wanted to keep talking to the previous customer. So I just waited. And I will NEVER go back to a CVS store anywhere.

If you need a prescription filled, NEVER go to CVS, specially this one. I walked in to drop off a prescription I got at the ER and the technician didn’t even look at it and said that she wouldn’t accept it nor her pharmacist “AZI”
I tried to show her the app on my phone from the hospital and yet didn’t care. So I called the hospital asking them to send it electronically and I was told they had to accept it. So the ER director gave CVS a call threatening them to take them to the board and when I was back the technician was still being rude and arrogant. The pharmacist said she going to fill it but I took it to Safeway instead.
It’s so absurd to me that this workers don’t even the bare minimum which is customer service. And if you choose to work in this field, keep in mind that people that go to the pharmacy are sick and in pain. If you can’t be sympathetic or if you don’t care at all, I suggest you apply as a janitor at Walmart. That’s where you belong. How can you treat people like that and just turn them down like you don’t even care to listen? I hope you get fired, I truly do.
CVS needs to hire better people.

Vicky in the beauty dept. is the main reason I shop at CVS. Vicky knows her products and is willing to take the time to share with me her expertise. She finds the best products for my skin type and budget. Hands down, CVS is lucky to have such a great employee. Troy is also a great employee. He is extremely polite and very efficient. CVS is lucky to have such professionals.

Rick was very personable and accommodating with a hello, welcome in, can I support you with finding anything?. I noticed he welcomed each person in offering support, too. Excellent service. Thank you!

Shocked at the many negative reviews, but those were related to pharmacy, inoculations and telephone responsiveness. We came in to get some prescriptions filled and it was a fine experience. Especially as we were from out of state. But, CVS is networked, so the meds our doctor ordered in SC were there on the system and we were able to get and pay for them as if we were home. And the staff was very helpful.

** 2/16/24- just a note ** if you're picking up any scheduled RX, ie: Pain killers, benzos, needles, be prepared to show Gov. ID (with pic), or it's a no go.
People, with do respect, most chain pharmacies have issues, especially with short staff/budget cuts and depends on the time you pick up RX's. Try to stay away during rush hours, daytime on weekends, and call first to check if it's ready. Most deliver using 3rd party. Being an ex- Pharmacy Tech, it's not an easy job. Lots of calls for refills, having to verify with DEA #'s and logging them, doctors calling in, people are sick, we have to check most of the RX's out. You must have a pharmacy tech license to be behind there and a pharmacist or Ph-Asst must be present. Even if a Ph-Tech fills the RX a Pharmacist must check and initial on the vile. Some are not feeling well and want in and out service. I would of loved to help at checkout, but that's corporate following the law. Take it up with them and complain directly to corporate to hire more staff.

Horrible, I was on hold for 30 minutes for my child's medication, then then picked up the phone and immediately hung up. Horrible service.

What an absolute hole. I have NO idea why they keep this location open. Every shelf looks like it’s been ransacked and if you can even find a staff to help you out they say there’s no stock of anything! The website may say things are in stock too and they never ever were. Avoid

Worst pharmacy ever. I wish I could give it 0 stars. Pharmacist is rude and no help at all. Go somewhere else if you can.

After at least a dozen visits, my experience with CVS in Petaluma is the worst customer service I've ever seen. Employees sit in the back chatting together while 20 customers are waiting - they won't open another register. It's one of those places you can tell they feel like they feel adversarial towards the customers. As unhelpful and nasty as possible - and the consistency of this bad service is shocking - why doesn't management fix it?
