Staff seems very knowledgeable and they have a great selection of foods but I've never had a more uncomfortable shopping experience, my partner and I were asked by staff multiple times if we were finding everything okay and they were watching us like they thought we were shoplifters and kept aggresively asking what we were looking for. I felt like everytime I would pick something up they would be watching me thinking i was going to steal it. Sorry I wanted to just take my time and enjoy my Sunday. I still ended up spending over $100 dollars but I don't think I'll be back. I did not like feeling like I'm doing something wrong by just shopping and looking at products. Very overbearing staff to the point you are convinced they think you are stealing!!!

Stopping here on a work trip from San Rafael, I decided to see if they have indoor dog toys not available at my local pet shops. I enjoy the dog chatter I get elsewhere. They did have a “unique” toy for my dog. But, the staff here was more like the halfway ladder for job seekers here for the work, although I, like other big dog spenders expect some smiley dog chatter. ?? ??

Be been coming here on and off for a couple years. They helped me so much back when I had an animal that was super sensitive to foods. They were so patient with me and every person was awesome. I bought treats, food, beds and travel carriers here and everyone had good advice for me. Fast forward 2 years and I needed help with grooming supplies for a dog with sensitive skin and sensitive owners (my nose). Jorge spent extra time helping me and sharing his personal experience with his own dog of the same breed. I come all the way down 3 towns away for this place because they are worth it. I don't need it person but they have a dog washing station here.

We've always had excellent experiences at Pet Food Express stores across the San Francisco Bay Area. However, on this particular visit, the store manager of the Petaluma store left a sour experience and had us question our loyalty to Pet Food Express. We recently purchased 4 bags of frozen Stella and Chewy and our dog was having stomach issues with the first 2 bags. We decided to exchange the remaining 2 unopened bags for another flavor. The store manager promptly asked us for a receipt and said they "strictly enforce" a 30 day policy on returns. We were 4 days shy of the return window and her demeanor and attitude made us feel like we should be thankful she was going to make an exception for us. I asked her when this 30 day policy had changed since we almost never return things to Pet Food Express. She said "It changed in October, so it's been almost year". Her tone and demeanor made us feel guilty and as if we needed to be lectured on the stores policy.We spent an additional $70+ on food at this store with an extra serving of attitude. We had to thank her for being a customer. I don't remember it ever working this way.The 30 day policy is not written on the back of the receipts or written in the store. There is only a QR code that invites customers to view the policy on the stores website.

Brought my dog in for their bath here and the front desk people were so helpful and kind! They walked me through how to work the machines and gave me extra treats when they could see my dog needed it haha. Super friendly associates! ❤️

After shopping here for many years I unfortunately will be taking my business elsewhere. I had an awful experience with "Jorge" at the Petaluma location regarding a toy return. I had my receipt and was totally okay with store credit but he refused. I talked to multiple other locations and they were confused as to why he would not accept the return as it was only five days since purchase. He would not let me speak or reach out to a manager. I ended up driving to Novato Pet Food Express and they happily let me return it for store credit. I can not say it enough, if you are shopping for your furry friend do not come here. They have no idea what costumer service is about and unfortunately will be losing a lot of business if they proceed to treat their customers so poorly. If you are shopping for your pets I highly suggest going to Pet Smart, Petco, or Rivertown!

Pet Food Express is unlike other pet stores. They greet you as you enter the store. And are willing to help you out with what you are shopping for.

Love their customer service. Always try to get the dog food and treats that I need as my dog is on a special diet. People are friendly and helpful.

We lo e bringing our 2 husky here for bath time! It's their most hated activity and theu let the whole world know it! But the staff at pet food express are so loving and patient and helpful. They always welcome us and the pups. Very kind to always add more time on the dryers so we can get our big boy all dry!The prices are not bad either. I am very happy we have this place to go to. Makes a not so fun activity.. very doable and actually enjoyable.Thank you to everyone that works here. We seriously appreciate you all!

Customer service was above and beyond! Selection of dog foods was ok, they didn't have my go-to brand Nutro. High quality products for what they do carry.
