I've been shopping at, and donating to Sacks for decades. Not only do I want to support Hospice, ( a fabulous organization), but I love thrifting and picking up cool bargains. The volunteers there are friendly and work hard! Their prices are good, but in recent years their vintage items have been priced higher. The nice thing is that they have discounts monthly, so if I have my eye on something, I try to go back to get a good deal on it. Sometimes it gets sold before I can get back, so then, it wasn't meant to be. My only complaints are that, because it is close to downtown, there is very limited parking, and it makes it difficult to donate furniture or multiple boxes of items. They have limited donation days and hours, and sometimes cannot take certain items ( too many books or clothes) Overall, it is a great place to visit in Petaluma.

I think this will be one of my new favorite thrift stores in Sonoma County. It was so well organized and had so many great finds! The prices were definitely decent. It's a shame they must get items stolen a lot because there were many things locked up. The ladies in there was super friendly and I can't way to thrift some more here!

If you’re willing to pay antique store, prices, shop here. Antique stores pay for what they sell. Found a CLEARLY USED wooden salad bowl (Target brand-Hearth & Hand) and it was priced more than brand new! Employees skim off the top and when they ring you up say things like “oh, I didn’t see that!”. I will take my donations elsewhere.

I am very dissapointed with the way I was treated here today. I went to go thrifting with my friend this morning and this was our first stop. My friend goes here all the time. When we were in there, my purse strap got tangled in a Athelta tank top. My friend had to untangle it and take of my strap to take it off. A worker then asked me, "Hi, how are you?" and I responded with, "Good, How are you?" We then looked around for a bit more and then were on our way out. We then got stopped at the door by the same worker who asked me who I was and we were asked to show our bags. The lady then accused us for stealing and said that she has it on camera. She also said that we were lying and she refused to show us the camera footage. She then back pedaled and said that we must of took it out of my purse. She keep on saying, "Just leave." I then dumped my whole purse on the table. My medicine bottle fell on the floor and she said, "Take your meds and leave," in a very rude tone. My friend and I are born and raised in Petaluma for 20+ years. I hope management sees this and takes action.

Awesome store. Great finds, good cause. I love how they save all their Christmas donations and then turn the store over in November! I've gotten some extraordinary deals here.

Shop here a lot and usually very pleased. Today I bought a coffee table glass top heavy.I was told I had to walk out with it after paying.I said I might have to make two trips...I was told I had to walk out with it. No one offered to help but repeated I had to take it. I was asked where my car was I said across the street. I proceeded to take the things off of it and picked up the heavy piece of glass and walked across the street. I picked up the second piece and I was watched as I carried it out.Not sure why after paying this was such a huge deal to remove immediately. I was by myself and didn't plan on buying a larger piece of furniture but don't think I will again if this is the process.

One of my favorite thrift shops in the county. A good mix of contemporary to antique items. Clean, with friendly helpful staff. Found some rare and cool items here, so I love to stop by regularly.
