Safeway in Petaluma is a very spacious and beautiful grocery store with a large, usual variety of products and almost everything you need. It features a deli with party trays made to order, a bakery with customizable cakes, a butcher's block with meat and seafood, and a produce department full of fresh fruits and veggies, including premade dinner kits. The store has a helpful pharmacy, a floral department, and a Starbucks inside. It offers convenient services like Order Ahead pick-up for bakery items, Grocery Delivery, and DriveUp & Go™. The store is in a good location with plenty of parking, including for handicap, and is part of a mall with lots of other stores. Shelves are kept pretty well stocked, and personnel are generally more than willing to help find items or track down out-of-stock products. The store is clean with clean bathrooms. Some notes include that the seafood counter may be closed on Friday evenings with minimal checkouts, and it can get very busy.
Safeway is the standard grocery store. It has a wide enough selection and prices are decent.

Safeway is a hidden gem for custom cupcakes/cakes. Laura made my first experience so easy! I went in looking for cupcakes for my daughter’s second birthday. (First birthday party) She was incredibly helpful, kind and patient. I can’t wait to pick up my order. Thank you Laura!!
