Terrible. Scheduled an appointment a few weeks out; they canceled without letting me know or confirming. I scheduled here a couple years ago 2021 for a photoshoot, and they canceled on me just a few days before without acknowledgment of any sort! Will go to another location and make sure I give their competition raving reviews.

Lots of good things about this store. The customer service/make-up assistants have always been helpful with selections, suggestions, color options and application of make-up to help me decide what works best. They don't always have exactly what I need in stock but that's just the state of retail these days, still dealing with the fall out from supply chain issues. The problem lies when I get to the register for check out. They're pretty aggressive in wanting a phone number. When I politely decline, I get hit with all the repercussions of not offering it up. Two different sales clerks commented about how I "Might run into issues with returns, exchanges, or if I lose a gift card, it can't be replaced". So, my reciept isn't worth the paper it's printed on if they can't get my phone#? I'm only airing my grievernce because this is consistent protocol for here. Shopping at Ulta is a great experience, but I always leave with a bad taste in my mouth.

Marilyn was the absolute best and helped my mom and I so much on Saturday. She took the time and care to help my mom understand the credit card process and got her help from another lovely lady (I wish I asked for her name!) who spoke Spanish and helped match her skin tone. Best place to go for makeup and feeling good overall!

So this Ulta Beauty must have good management? Cause their employees are so sweet and helpful every time I go and dude that helped my husband and I find the right hair jell you're A1 and I'm always going to come back.

Always a great experience when browsing in here, I like to drag my bf along with me or shop by myself but one day I was feeling sorta down and browsing for some eyeliners and some new glitters/good foundation match and the employees are always kind when I have questions about certain products or brands. At checkout today I had some extra time and signed up for the rewards card and I'm glad I did I shop here frequently for skincare and self care products and the cashier was very kind to me even though I had some trouble with the buttons to finish the process but overall 100/10 for kind and genuine customer service and it made my day way better to stop here for a few shiny pick me ups. Makeup and skincare are always expensive since it's a luxury item but the rewards and coupons they offer do help :)

I've been coming here for years and have always trusted you and your products. I found out that products I bought from 2 different companies through you have class action law suits against them for having ingredients in them that aren't safe for use as intended. I tried to get a number to call corporate and couldn't. I don't blame you for what is in the products, but you selling items that aren't safe and then unwilling to discuss a customer's concerns is your fault. It doesn't say much about your company and I'm not sure I'll ever trust you to sell products that are safe again.

I came in and was greeted right away! I needed help with my makeup because I pretty much have never really shopped for makeup. Diana was so helpful! She helped me choose my color and even reccomended a primer. She was totally the right person to do so as she wasn't too pushy for me to buy things and wanted to make sure I was choosing something that I actually wanted. Thank you so much Diana! Please give this girl a raise lol

I really appreciate Ulta. Whenever I enter the store (Petaluma), I am cheerily greeted and offered help. The last time I had 2 people helping me find just the right product for my hair. I am older and I don't like wandering around stores trying to find what I need. They listened to what I wanted, discussed my options, then found the right product for me since my original product is no longer available. Service at the register was excellent. Special thanks to Christopher who genuinely seemed interested in helping me find exactly what I needed. I always get great service from this store. It's a pleasure to shop there.

Terrible Customer Service at the register today. I was not greeted or even looked at by the three employees behind the counter when I went to purchase my items. 'Phone number' was what was said to me when I was spoken to by the woman behind the counter and then she said the bit about signing up for the credit card. Zero eye contact, no smile, just two rehearsed sentence. I was not offered a bag so I asked for one and I also said that I would like the receipt with me. She snapped at me saying 'it's gonna ask you that'. NO-- a touch screen is going to ask me if I would like the receipt printed or emailed, not whether or not I want the receipt in my hand or in the bag. I was then barked at to 'have a nice day'. If this is the standard for customer service Ulta would be better off having Self Checkout because a computer would be warmer than this.

Horrible experience! I have curly hair and went in for a blowout -- they left my hair a frizzy mess. When I told her I didn't like it, she said that in order to straighten it, it would be an extra charge. First off, that is extremely discriminatory-- just because someone has textured hair, doesn't mean they should have to pay more for a service. Second, they never disclosed that using a straightener would be extra charge before starting the blowout. And on top of that, she rushed through the service. Even when I first sat down, she was making comments about my hair and asking me if my texture could actually be "straightened." Mind you, my hair is not even that curly so I can't imagine how she would treat other women of color with curlier hair. The other worker who I talked to afterwards was also very unhelpful. The "stylist" was Marina and I advise everyone to stay away.
